Nice and easy parkrun on Saturday, didn't push too hard, other than a sprint finish with someone else! Grangemouth 10k this morning, and I'm happy with how that went - 39:24 for a 35 second PB! Delighted with that. Perfect course for it, almost perfectly flat and no scenery to distract!2 points

Agreed and I love the way language changes and evolves with every generation. That said I still think anyone who uses "should of" instead of "should have" should have their existence terminated with extreme prejudice.2 points

Aye, I'm the same with the uphill/downhill thing. I'm not quite equal pace on the two, but in races I pretty much always go past folk going uphill and get caught on the way down. It always annoys me as well. Nice parkrun in Kirkcaldy yesterday. One of our regulars, who was there most weeks running or volunteering almost to the end, died last week. She was well known for her bright gear, so in tribute a lot of folk ran yesterday in stuff as bright and garish as they could find, including the guy who's the main organiser running in a pink tutu! I was timekeeping rather than running, but nice to be there regardless. Good luck everyone with the marathons coming up in the next few weeks.2 points

Dreadful performance. To think that some of our fans had the nerve to sing 'boring, boring County'. We didn't create a single meaningful chance. If I hear another person say 'Pogba gives us something different', I think I'll cry. It becomes all the more staggering each week that this imposter and wage theif keeps club legend and our best striker out of the team. Best of luck to County for the rest of the season.2 points

That all sounds pretty idyllic apart from the not being able to stagger back home a few miles from the pub part. Not that I'm an alcoholic or anything. P.S. Just noticed you're only 7 miles from the bar, fucking light weight.1 point

My point is that the finance was only not available because of the perceived impact on public borrowing. It would have made more sense to finance these projects the way that all other local authority projects are/were financed. Central Government gives funds to Local Authorities for revenue spending, but for capital spending it is simply permission to borrow other than for specific projects - Dundee Waterfront being a typical example.1 point

Has anyone tried counting how many times Derek Ferguson says ''I tell you what'' during a game. Would be about 4,000 I'd say.1 point

Some of my favourite Craig Barr posts from FanTalk: Is he even that good ????? He's a big lump of a boy He's not mobile He's ok in the air He's ok on the ball He's never fit And when he plays we get beat, Think he's started 13 games for the rovers, we've lost 9 of them Still gutted we got rid of hill and Watson for this imposter in light of our injury crisis, I wish this chap would do the decent thing and agree to have his contract terminated for all the good he's been to the club since the day he was signed , Considering Barr seems to specialise in showing up for pre-season with an injury some of the blame may be attributable to him. The guy has robbed us blind for 18 months. Someone with a bit of class might well offer to rip up their contract. It's been done before. Barr is a journeyman pro who we signed on two year contract, of which he has spent at least 75% of that time on the treatment table. Even if he got himself fit it's doubtful he would be able to get into the side anyway. We need to stop talking about a player that is unlikely to ever kick a ball for us again. If we could ger rid I would, complete waste of wage and place in squad. In keeping with my previous post. I'll not be commenting on him again until he's either playing or has left at the end of his contract.1 point

The three things in a pub to cause most arguments religion, politics and football. So what did we find out this week? The P.M. is a liar. The Archbishop of Canterbury is a bast*red and Raith are in the play-offs. Think I may go to Scumfermline for a pint later.1 point

Gala Fairydean Rovers - Season 4 - 2019/20 As ever all my screenshots are taken at the end of the season. I think I said in my last update i felt I was finally getting somewhere and could be in for something special.... Squad - My squad has really taken shape now, with cover for all positions. Sure not everyone is very good but I have options! My key men remain in the spine of my team - Kennedy in goal, Luidgi Hoareau in the CM (He won fans POTY and YPOTY for the 3rd consecutive season) and McCaughie up top. Isaacs has cemented his starting berth in CM alongside Luidgi and is my first Academy prospect to nail down a regular starting berth.I mentioned earlier my 2nd striker Kavanagh done his cruciate, this mainly facilitated a switch to 4-4-1-1 but when I did throw 2 up top young Lewis Munro stepped up in style with 5 goals from 7 starts in League 2 and a goal in the Scottish Cup. Intake - Paterson - first player I've had come in at 16 and be better than what I have. He became the youngest ever player and goalscorer for Gala Fairydean Rovers on his debut, at 16 years and 10 days old. An injury forced him to miss the final 4 weeks of the season so he only managed 4 appearaces in the season, 2 goals and 2 assists fills me with joy. Transfers - Obligatory Transfer screenshot - no-one in as per the rules - still not lost a player to another club League Table - Brilliant season. Forfar ran away with it and Stenny were comfortably 2nd throughout but I was sure 3rd place was mine. Unfortunately I bottled my last 2 matches and dropped into 4th on the last day.... This set me up to play the League 1 team in the playoff first round - East Fife. I've not screenied it but I was soundly beaten with a 2-1 loss at fortress Netherdale and a 4-o scudding in Methil. Minter. Match of the Season - 1 minute away from holding Premiership runners up Rangers to a draw and replay. Gutted but what an effort! 38k zombies allowed me to scoop a bumper pay packet in excess of £450k. David McCaughie appreciation Society - He's never won a POTY at club or league level but has finished top league 2 goalscorer for 3 consecutive seasons, breaking his own record each time. 24 (it's actually 25 but doesn't seem to credit the rel. playoff goal anywhere..) League goals, 31 in all competitions - WHAT A GUY.1 point
