  1. One of my girlfriends mates got a Mothers Day card from her "bump". Hope the pregnancy goes wrong to be honest.

  3. You do know what the co in newco stands for, dontchya? Playing in Europe, accounts. Done and dusted. Entering cups at lower level" I recall Celtic fans posting a snippet of rules on twitter, which they claimed showed a new club. A short while later some helpful bears posted the rest of the rules, which cleared things up. It may have been Stricky who posted it on here originally, dig deep and look for it.

  4. I remember the P and Bers telling awra that pre season friendlies didn't count as proper games lol Anyhow back to your link " Rangers fans have already bought the entire away allocation for their match against Brechin at Glebe Park as the club's Sevco owners announced that they are charging up to 50% less for season tickets in the Third Division" Thanks for posting that Stricky because I thought that the club was sevco, sure some blogger said so.

  5. Rangers are still in the process of liquidation, how can you square that? Rangers were a behemoth feeding on bigotry and using shady tax dodging schemes to get an even bigger stacked deck, then the went tits up and all the share holders of the company lost their precious hard earned investments. That's pretty much how I see it.

  6. Mark Wilson is quite possibly my least favourite player to ever pull on the shirt. Looked like he couldn't care less, couldn't pass, couldn't tackle and certainly couldn't cross a ball. His performance against Cowden was atrocious, particularly this defending: https://youtu.be/PIompoFaAWs?t=8m1s To think Ian Murray was going to offer him a new deal

  7. Seeing Wilson gave me a shudder. Waste of a jersey who had the temerity to complain about being freed. It shows how poor he was when Lee Mair got a new club and he now bumps his gums on the radio!

  10. We should have been and the more I hear Stevie in interviews the less convinced I am that he genuinely believes we can challenge higher than what we are. He trots out that we're a part time team in a difficult league after almost every defeat, that might hold water some times at mid-week games but we've shown over the last 4 years that competing and surviving for a part-time side is not only possible but likely, if you do the right things. When we beat Hibs it's never an issue. Yes, he's said the boys want to challenge for 5th, but to then produce that performance at Livi is convincing no one. Time to push all excuses to the side and get the wins we need, if we're not doing everything to pick up wins at this stage then we'll deserve everything we get.

  11. It's hard to say. Difficult to compare the part-time player market to the full-time. I suspect that Ian simply underestimated the size of the challenge at Paisley and buckled under pressure from a demanding support. I expected more from Aitken this season following the quality of player recruitment in the summer and the start that we had. An 8th place finish would now be very welcome but I genuinely thought we could have competed with Morton, Raith etc for 5th or 6th given the personnel at the club.

  12. On the bright side, their insistence that it's the same club causes much spluttered indignation when you point it that that means they support cheats. They deny it of course - breaking rules for financial advantage is only cheating in insidious celtic propaganda rags - like dictionaries.

  15. To me the deep lying problem is that our balls out attacking 4-2-3-1 won't and doesn't work against teams who are strong out wide. It heavily exposes that Stewart and the LW aren't inputting enough energy defensively, and it doesn't appear as if they are told to either. We need more balance against those teams - this may or may not require changing formation (to a WM formation?) or changing personnel by dropping one of the 3 main attackers(?), or even both. Until we start adjusting to counteract our opponents, we will continue to be Jekyll and Hyde, giving some teams 4, and no showing against others, and completely neutralised. As far as next season, I'm still hoping for a new LB and RB to go along with a natural wide left man and a proper break-down man.

  16. The fact he was under 170 at the weigh ins suggests he was probably walking around a bit lighter than 175. His last full distance fight was against Holloway and he didn't look that tired. With Mendes he had just been subject to a long wrestling grind which is pretty exhausting, then clean ko'd the guy which also takes a good whack of energy. Then with Diaz hes bulked up mad which requires silly amounts of oxygen to keep those muscles going. I think you're part right however as we don't know how he'd do in an all out five rounder. I would be surprised though if he would struggle badly at featherweight with that. A five round assault from a relentless RDA however is a real test.

  18. That's right, 9th and 10th go straight down this season. And Innes 'Big Red' McDonald has indeed had a hair cut, Le Tout! I was up at Strathpeffer for Caberfeidh and Lewis. A bad day at the office for the Leodhasaich but impressive set up at Castle Leod, great to get a pie and cup of tea at a shinty game

  23. Of course an alternative view would be that because we haven't taken anything from these venues then they are absolute mountains and a cautious approach is justified. Is it maybe a chicken/egg situation, what came first the poor results or the tentative approach. I'm no different to anyone else in that I'd like to see us remove the shackles slightly and become a bit more pleasant on the eye. I still firmly believe that the mentality of the manager is only a factor in the performances this season though and that the abilities (or lack of) of the players are the main factor. We simply don't have good enough players to play the free flowing, dynamic, attacking football that certain fans seem to think is our divine right to witness. We have a very average squad, who are probably doing better than we expected pre-season. I suppose someone of a certain view point would find fault with the manager for assembly said squad, whilst another would praise him for getting the best out of the tools available. Either way I can't see a sudden shift in mentality whilst we are still right in contention. I don't think it should come as any great surprise to anyone that we look likely to finish the season stronger than we started. That was pretty inevitable with all the changes in the Summer. To be right in the mix despite not firing on all cylinders is a positive at this stage, surely massive games like Tuesday are what it's all about? We should be looking forward to it, not wary of it.

  24. Think a lot of folk need to settle down after yesterday. (not so much on here but the other forum and social media) Don't get me wrong - I'm not defending it. There were poor performances all over the park and there was maybe a questionable selection or 2 I'm not denying any of that. In absolutely gutted as we all know we're much better than what we produced and that's the biggest frustration. I think folk need to look at the bigger picture though. We've had horrendous cup capitulations before but the difference this time is we're sitting as a stable club in 5th place in the premiership following a run of 2 defeats in 12 games (At Ibrox and Pittodrie). When we were humped by Gretna at Hampden or beaten down at QOS in 2007 we were sitting with no money, a shite squad of players and our promotion hopes already down the shitter for another year. A lot of folk are having a go at Hartley and don't get me wrong, I questioned Loy's selection out on the wing myself but I don't think we can be too harsh on him for picking a side that had been doing well in recent weeks. The early goal totally fucked us yesterday - that come from an individual mistake which is hard to legislate for. It gave Rangers and their crowd a huge lift and was a hammer blow to our players confidence in a red-hot atmosphere. Some of the stuff I've read since the game is absolutely ridiculous. Harkins as usual is now fat and unfit again because we lost and have seen folk tearing into almost every other player at various points. We've not turned into a bad team overnight because the occasion got to us. We can still have our highest league finish in decades. Just think we need a bit of perspective of where we are as a club compared to the dross we've been used to for as long as I can remember.

  25. Off for a few weeks now to have & recover from an Arthroscopy. Signed off last week with Geal Charn (Monadhliath) in deep snow, and a glorious circuit of the West Drumochter hills. Hopefully will be fit for a week's walking in the Fort William area in May

  27. Finding out that all those diddy no-mark towns like Rochdale have their own, even diddier town rivals in the depths of the pyramid is always an eye-opener. Two teams fighting it out to be the best in Runcorn really tops the bald men and a comb analogy. It's like when you first discover that Forfar sustains more than just one laughable pub team in the village at the same time. Truly bizarre.

  28. I was over the moon when Kerr signed. It may have been nostalgia tinged but knew he'd play a part. He's generally been great. See also Lee Miller. These boys are our last links with Brockville.

  29. I'm always suspicious when you see don't see a character actually die. Still not convinced the guy who got his head lopped off by a female warrior at the end of the last series is really dead (I've lost track of what we can and can't say without spoiler tags now...). But after a misdemeanour like this, hopefully McIntyre keeps him on the Ross County bench behind Woods and Irvine for a few more games as punishment.

  31. Better graphics , for me, would only probably make it worse. The shit graphics and lack of sound is why you get attatched to it, as it leaves alot to your own interpretation a wee bit like you do with a book. That'll no doubt sound silly, but I honestly don't see what a remake can add to it.
