  1. For all the pending bluster I expect a dreadful match with poor quality on both sides, with both sets of fans belting out from the old sectarian/pro-terrorist songbooks in an attempt to make up for the depressing realisation that they're a total irrelevance in modern football. See the vast majority of Old Firm games from the past 20 years.

  2. Headed out with the other half to Monikie Reservoir after hearing about the display on Facebook. Obviously the camera enhances the f**k out of them, but clearly visible with the naked eye. Also absolutely fucking baltic.

  3. I do love an Old Firm game though. Always a good reminder that I'm better than so many people.

  5. It was an interesting start to the game with the different formation. There isnt anything intrinsically right or wrong with playing a back three and we got forward well early on, forcing a series of corners and having most of the pressure and territory. Despite that, Hibs had the two best chances by far with Fon Williams making two amazing saves back to back and then the disallowed goal. Following that we fell back into the negative, backward approach that we saw at Tynecastle on Tuesday night. Hibs looked decent in the middle of the park but it was all a but of a battle as opposed to there being anyone clearly taking charge. Hibs were the better team though, probably from midway through the first half until the last 15. We really improved when Horner and Mutumbo came on, a quite remarkable sentence but it's true. The goal was an excellent chase from Horner, who balanced the team coming on for Polworth, and a superb finish from Mutumbo. I have been a Mutumbo sceptic, to say the least, but he changed the game yesterday, simply by making positive runs, with and without the ball. We emphasises possession so much over territory that we move back with the ball and either end up giving it away through mistakes or hitting a long ball because there's no options. We played similarly to this during the first few months of Hughes being in charge - the performance today reminded me of the the league cup final in 2014. We're so narrow, deep and always end up with so many men behind the ball, the only attacking was to hit a ball in for the strikers to run onto. Off the pitch, I was pleased to see us taking a decent crowd down and there was a good atmosphere in our end, and from the Hibs fans. I love Easter Road as a stadium and the area around it.

  6. If you'd put as much effort into raising money as you have to pretend you're not bothered then your club likely wouldnt have died..

  7. If Messi was signed by an EPL team, it would only be a "big 4" side that could afford him and that team would win the league for as long as he played for them. If Scott Brown was signed by an EPL club, they'd be fighting relegation. Only a Sunderland or Newcastle type omnishambles would sign him, as he's not good enough to play for anyone else, and without the protection he gets from Scottish referees, after 6 months he'd be viewed as the Scottish Lee Cattermole, which is basically what he is. Darren Fletcher was, is, and always will be a vastly superior player to Scott Brown.

  8. I'm not. I hope this is a well behaved match, a showcase event where two teams who have only met once before demonstrate what a potential asset they can be to the game. Maybe try and create a friendly rivalry or turn it into a kind of derby match if you will, despite the dearth of history between these two clubs and the clear disparity in quality and league positions. No touchline bust ups, no kids getting bottled, no ditties about freedom fighters or walls. Just a good clean game played in the right spirit on and off the park. Let's see if they can manage that, what an opportunity to get it right up all of us that would be. Only a set of absolute puddle-drinkers would spurn such an opportunity and disgrace themselves, the game, the nation and indeed the human race as a whole on a national stage. Again.

  12. Any Hearts fans know how much the boy paid for the plane flyover yesterday? This is a great opportunity for fans of every proper football club in Scotland to have a whip round for a plane trailing a banner that says.. "SNP - these are the bigoted wife beating c***s you should be targeting with your act. Not the rest of Scottish football. Stop avoiding the truth"

  13. Treat your lady like a golf ball on the 18th green. Calm, measured and be delicate and you'll hit the hole within a matter of the smallest of measurements. My older cousin gave me this advice, and since then I literally cannot keep my cock in my pants. For example, before the turn of the year I was romping on average once every 13 months, since the turn of the year I've done the deed 3 times. My friends all look up to me and have nicknamed me Shags and rightly so. After the advice of my cousin I'd class myself as a romp-merchant at a national level.

  17. You do know what the co in newco stands for, dontchya? Playing in Europe, accounts. Done and dusted. Entering cups at lower level" I recall Celtic fans posting a snippet of rules on twitter, which they claimed showed a new club. A short while later some helpful bears posted the rest of the rules, which cleared things up. It may have been Stricky who posted it on here originally, dig deep and look for it.

  18. Sturgeon won me over when she trounced Lamont and Carmichael in the referendum debates. I was a little worried she'd never be more than an attack dog, but I'm delighted that she's actually become the reasonable, smart, competent operator that has essentially won hearts and minds across the world. I like Salmond, but I think there is and was a danger that he'd come to coast along on his own reputation, and assume that his skills in debating would be enough to convince people our country should be something other than a part of another state. Sturgeon appears to realise that being personable and charming rather than a shrewd Jack-the-lad is necessary for building support. I suspect Salmond became convinced that he was *right* (and on the subject of independence I think he was) and that that conviction was best expressed by impressing it upon people rather than trying a more persuasive approach. Still, the abuse Salmond withstood from vindictive, terrified BritNats without turning a hair or crying to the papers qualifies him as a hell of a statesman - probably the only great Scottish statesman I can think of in living memory.

  21. Seeing Wilson gave me a shudder. Waste of a jersey who had the temerity to complain about being freed. It shows how poor he was when Lee Mair got a new club and he now bumps his gums on the radio!

  29. The odds for this should be pretty interesting. Unless Celtic's form picks up massively between now and the semi, there's a good chance they'll lose, they've been absolutely fucking shite lately, and one mustn't forget their all-too regular habit of shiting it in Hampden semi-finals. Anything longer than evens on Rangers is well worth a punt IMO. It's a win/win for neutrals either way. Rangers yet again failing at a major trophy, or Celtic suffering a catastrophic defeat which I doubt they'll be allowed to forget. Ever. I'd genuinely fear for Daviebhoy's wellbeing if that happens

A bad day at the office for the Leodhasaich but impressive set up at Castle Leod, great to get a pie and cup of tea at a shinty game

  38. Finding out that all those diddy no-mark towns like Rochdale have their own, even diddier town rivals in the depths of the pyramid is always an eye-opener. Two teams fighting it out to be the best in Runcorn really tops the bald men and a comb analogy. It's like when you first discover that Forfar sustains more than just one laughable pub team in the village at the same time. Truly bizarre.

  40. Axeman I think u will find the press contacted Martin and not him running to them as u suggest . It's a big story when a manager takes a team from bottom of 2nd division to the brink of not just back to back promotions but back to back championships as well as last 16 in the Scottish good run in the west etc. There was no bluff called Martin and Carlo were up front and told the committee of there in tensions to step down at the end of the season . Also interesting to see u joined at 4.30 today I smell a rat

  42. Better graphics , for me, would only probably make it worse. The shit graphics and lack of sound is why you get attatched to it, as it leaves alot to your own interpretation a wee bit like you do with a book. That'll no doubt sound silly, but I honestly don't see what a remake can add to it.
