  1. Grehan gives us a good option and is a good player. Love if when people look at a striker and say he's no use because he's not one of the quickest players on the park....

  2. You also changed your profile picture to a united Ireland. Nobody thought it was outrageous, we all thought it was another attention seeking episode from the forums resident welt.

  4. The best part of this thread was when the whole of pie and bovril came together, collectively as one to agree.. Lewis Hamilton is a welt.

  7. That negativity is born of experience and frustration I assure you, to the extent that for some time now I've retired to the back benches. If there is another football club anywhere in the UK which so actively distances itself from its support then I'd be surprised. Not everything is wrong of course and I've given the club huge credit in the past for maintaining us at this level for the past four seasons - maybe you missed these posts. The fact remains though that DFC's attitude to its public is all too often abysmal and if you or anyone else thinks otherwise then you really do know f*** all. The idea of a Hall Of Fame Dinner, like so many other things, is a grand one but in reality is more difficult than most folk imagine. Negative I may be, but I don't think I've ever descended into personal abuse, but you came very close to it in your post of 23.25 yesterday - why not just put me on ignore ?

  8. Murray now won US Open, Wimbledon, Olympic Gold, Davis Cup. Only things he's not won are the Aussie Open where he's been finalist numerous times, and the French Open where he's not exactly done badly either. Impressive on it's own, but when you consider the baggage and pressure that he's had to deal with coming from a country with no other tennis players, but huge expectation, it's incredible.

  15. According to The Sun, we made 4 subs against Kilmarnock. Amoo on for Muirhead, Welsh for Bannigan, Pogba for Kurtaj and Nade for Doolan. Nice of Accies to lend us two players for this match, and for the officials to allow 4 changes.

  20. I don't mean that their participation in the tournament is necessarily ending (although it probably is). I mean that their hilarious record of not winning the thing is surely now drawing to a close.

  22. IS have and its predecessors have been on the go since the 1930s - what's different now is the splinter groups that have caused the terror - either homegrown or European based - are much harder to track and neutralise. Some of the action credited to IS has been little more than in the name of IS - with little real input from them themselves, It's this random terrorism - the guns on the beaches terrorism that we saw in Tunisia - that worries me. It's also clear that those who have been involved are not disillusioned working-class muslims but those from well-educated middle-class backgrounds. What makes someone who has everything going for them strap a bomb to themselves or go on a suicide shooting mission? That is the real frightening thing.

  28. Do yourself a favour and just stop posting on dot net. Far too many people with agendas on there. The admin is incredibly biased and subjective towards friends and the club. It's never going to change so don't get worked up about it. Waste of energy.

  30. That's magnificent. I'm one of the laddies sitting along the edge of the pitch so it must have been late 60's, maybe 1970 as wee Tiger went to Everton in 1971. I think it was against that big club from Glasgow that played in blue.

  32. I know you posted it as a dig, but I think the issues at Rangers since 2012 have been very interesting. It just gets bogged down in the same petty arguments all the time though. Once you agree to disagree and take all the crap away, the story is quite fascinating from a legal point of view.

  35. Absolutely not. This is the right thing to do and one shouldn't make capital out of it and no congratulations are needed nor should comparisons be drawn with other clubs.

  39. Apparently Celtic 'could' have had a penalty. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34894590 Looking forward to similar headlines where Ross County 'could' have had a freekick, Kilmarnock 'could' have had an offside and Partick 'could' have had a corner kick. What a load of pish!

  40. I'm going to go against the grain slightly and praise John Barnes for being one of the few to notice Ryan Stevenson's winner wasn't a free kick(our own Twitter got too excited over it!!) That said, Nice of Chick Young to read out three paragraphs of our matchday stats pack on Open All Mics and claim it as his own work.
