  1. Rangers (or Celtic for that matter) fans calling the other side bigots always makes me roll my eyes. See? ---------> A large chunk of the fan base of either club is riddled with fucking bigotry. "You're a bigot" "Naw, you're a bigot" I've said it before and I'll say it again; it's like one shite calling another shite smelly. Let the diddies call both sides bigots - take it on the chin - and move the f**k on. Phil's a fucking moron and doesn't reflect me or my views. I'm sure lots of the berz feel the same about that McMurdo tool. Now........ Are they deid yet?

  2. I fear this thread is becoming too serious and readers are quickly forgetting that there is a new user called The Great Stagsby.

  4. Factually incorrect. PFK Spartak Varna of the second division in Bulgaria have yet to keep a clean sheet this season. Apology accepted.

  5. Vine's first language may not be English since he was born in Nigeria. He has also spent the last couple of years in Portugal so is not using English. Maybe some Buddie should tweet him back in Yoruba to determine his mastery of language. Or maybe it is easier to take the piss.

  7. I'm of this viewpoint also, I will give you the example of former Hearts striker Edgaras Jankauskas. Now this is a striker that rarely made it it ten goals a season, yet ask his teams mates what they think of his contribution. A former Champions League, Uefa Cup, Portuguese & Belgian title winner as well as the big one with Hearts but alas he was not a prolific scorer. He was a fantastic target man, occupying defences and making space for others and creating a plethora of chances with his unselfish play. Being a striker is not just about hitting the target twenty plus times a season Carry on.

  9. I still cringe when I see a Rangers fan describe anyone else as a bigot considering your old club only became so successful due to the widespread hated and distrust of the Irish and Catholics that existed when Celtic were created. It still exists today for that matter.

  11. Queen of the South home of the Seers who can pluck the thoughts out of your mind from long distance. However in the interest of clarity. Four Players in Four players out possible another to follow. 3 permanent and 1 loan in Vs 1 loan back to parent club 1 released 2 out on short term loans until the end of the season So four wages freed and four wages used that is not to say that we are not spending more on wages but the wage bill may be slightly larger but not by much. This does not equate to throwing money about this equates to balancing the books now please do not class our (FFC' s) recent transfer activity as akin to the old firm and gretna, livingstonesqe spending sprees

  12. It's fair comment that a lack of a Proddy Franchise might mean fewer pennies going into the game but it's hard to evaluate how that might affect other teams, particularly the Diddies. Celtic fans will have their own takes on the end of the Spousal Battery Alliance as was. None of us are true masters of self awareness, but a fan of the Rangers/the the Rangers trying to pass Hibs results off as the upshot of his own teams' recklessness is either serious chutzpah or completely blinkered. Anyhoo ...

  13. 11 defeats in a row against QP. Didn't lay a single punch on an awful Rangers team who were shipping points to nearly everyone else. 4-0 and 5-0 humiliations at Montrose. An 18 game streak (half a season!) with only one win, against an utterly diabolical Shire team. A 9 game streak without a win that included being knocked out of the cup by a poor Nairn team. If that isn't the definition of dreadful, I'm not really sure what is. Please carry on being angry though.

  18. Not sure I would describe it as bigoted rather than just an awful piece of mean spirited writing. The funny thing is most of the tropes could just as easily be used to describe the equally mindless terrorist sympathisers and racist apologists who support the other cheek.

  20. He was a very useful player for us in a team that finished 3rd in the league. He has absolutely no technique to speak of, but his pace, power and workrate gave him a place in our squad and he would do a job for anyone in the top flight outside of Celtic. His scoring record was skewed by him playing wide for much of his time with us. We played one up front, Steven Maclean, so Tade, Vine and Hasselbaink largely shared the wide duties between them. I'd have Tade back in a minute.

  25. A native of Glasgow who's commenting on two of his former employers. Scandalous. Also has the baws to use his own name... not surprising as -whatever his shortcomings as a player -he never hid on the park. Good luck to Deano.

  27. This really deserves more publicity than being hidden away on this thread. It's a fairly shocking example of plagiarism and the response by those at the Record is reprehensible. Just because the article is "in the public domain" doesn't make it ok to just copy & paste it without crediting the author.

  31. Great result, love getting the winner in after 3 minutes. We've taken £10 and turned it into £103.76. I am going to bank this and start a new challenge. Will use the same research and the same approach to risk but will try and get this one further. Of course if you like to be risky there is nothing stopping you continuing with your winnings onto the first challenge bet we post ! Hope a few of you made a couple of quid on this run.

  33. Some brass neck these Rangers 'legends'. From the BBC website Former Rangers manager Walter Smith says he will never return to Ibrox in an official capacity and regrets joining the troubled club's board. Smith returned to Ibrox in November 2012 as a non-executive director under then-chief executive Charles Green and became chairman six months later. "I still go to the games now and again, but I would not go back on to the board again ," the 66-year-old said. "I learned it's an environment I'm not particularly comfortable in." Smith also believes he should have stood down as chairman much sooner than he did in August 2013. At the time, he accused Yorkshireman Green and former directors Brian Stockbridge and Bryan Smart of creating a "highly dysfunctional environment". "Not particularily comfortable in", means being totally out of his depth and useless. There were many who pointed that out at the time on P&B and elsewhere. You didn't have to be brain surgeon to know he was only there as a patsy for Green. His appointment was all about giving Green some credibility and keeping the great unwashed amongst the Rangers support on side. It worked. "At the time" when he accused Green etc of being rogues was said as he walked, but could have said the same at any time while he was still chairman. But cash in his pocket dictated his timing. Smith no doubt was well rewarded for turning up. It is amazing how wise he can be after the event, when his uselessness is confirmed by himself, but of course he does not apologise to the Rangers fans on how he assisted Green in hoodwinking them. Like so many other Rangers legends delighted to take the large amounts of money, but repeatedly show they are happy to treat the club and the fans with total contempt - as long as they are well paid for it.

  35. Callum Ball is shite. Adam Morgan is shite. Michael Ngoo is shite. Gregory Tade is not shite. He may not have been prolific - although I'd happily take a nine-goal a season striker - but he's not shite.

  38. For a "member of the management" of any team in whatever grade to condone the unfurling of a tricolour (or for that matter a union jack of Ulster flag) at a match is absolutely incredible. Sectrarianism will continue to be the scourge of the West of Scotland for many years to come if people in positions of power put a hand over one eye to it. Kidding yourself that it's due to Irish heritage doesn't fool anyone. Define roots. Believing what yer father told you about mince that occurred 325 years ago? Anyone connected with the club should have marched up and took the flag away from them. Simple as that. By not doing so is condoning it. I know this is a rant but I hate sectarianism with a vengeance and it's the main reason why I don't even look at the senior Scottish results. Junior football should be immune from this and the Junior Football forum here should certainly be so too.

  41. I remember seeing his name in the youth squads at the time although he never made the first team. Seems he did indeed go around the world though and is now president of the West Indies Football Association, after forming it himself http://www.wifa.ca/bairds-blog.php There is some talk amongst Alloa fans of the need for a new keeper, perhaps we should get in touch with the Holy Goalie and bring him home for an emotional (8)1st appearance for the Wasps.
