  1. Pretty sure we've been over this before, but let's be honest, this simply isn't true, is it? If you take a look at page 105 of this thread, immediately after winning the Renfrewshire Cup, three Morton supporting posters commented on our win, with a picture of a tweet from Dougie Imrie and comments that it was infact a great feeling at Cappielow before you stuck your beak in with; There was nobody claiming we'd win the league, merely fans enjoying a rare victory against our local rivals, and a victory we were entitled to enjoy in the eyes of I'd suggest everyone other than yourself. Certainly the origins of this thread came back to bite Foxbarton when we collapsed after a promising start in the late summer of 2011, but claiming the fans were again getting carried away when they dared express how happy they were at winning a local derby smacks of someone looking to pick faults in a group of supporters that he clearly has little time for, and is complete nonsense with no foundation. http://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/index.php/topic/156756-a-great-feeling-at-cappielow/page-105

  5. There's a cracker doing the rounds just now. A girl has taken a photo of paramedics in her living room, working on her dad after he collapsed with her posting "I really hope dad's okay". One can only hope that her father regained consciousness and butchered his fucking imbecile of a daughter.

  6. This is the best Morton team I have seen in a long time & I have been going to Cappielow since 1973 so have saw the good times & lots of bad ones also. Could this really be there time for SPL football I think they have the players but We have to wrap Macdonald & Jackson in cotton wool & keep them both fit Tidser also will be a very important Player for us in the Midfield. But when You look & the bench We have Weatherson, Campbell, & Bachirou itching to get back in the team after Saturdays trip to Dumfries We play Partick on the Friday Night then Hamilton, & Falkirk all within the space of a few short Weeks we really could be Top by a few points can we really keep going & stay top of the League I think & hope We can..

  8. I was right behind the goal. It was truly incredible. All kind of surreal in fact. I remember wondering afterwards if it had actually happened. Moments before, I was convinced Dundee would score from the free-kick and would have given anything for the full-time whistle. To have such an important result in such a tense encounter decided in that way was just extraordinary. I'm looking forward to boring people about it when I'm 90.

  9. Robinson is part-time. He trains with Raith twice per week and Rangers in his spare time. He used to do this at QOS too

  10. Those of us who were at the side could tell straight away that it had the distance but had no idea if it was on line or not. I only knew it was going to be a goal when the Portland Drive End starting bouncing up and down like Energizer bunnies on heat. The moments between that realisation and the final whistle were just wonderful, wonderful seconds of joy. The realisation that we were going to Hampden for a Cup semi final in that manner after spending 20 odd years trailing around the bottom end of Scotish football was just magical.

  11. I can't understand why he doesn't train with us. Surely it's not asking too much for him to come from Glasgow to train with us? No wonder we've looked so much of a shambles defensively. You'd think Murray would be able to see the correlation between us defending like buffoons and Robinson training with The Rangers.

  14. http://www.thecourier.co.uk/sport/football/championship/raith-rovers-new-boy-lee-robinson-hopes-for-repeat-of-ramsdens-cup-success-1.296533 Another feather in Grant Murray's cap. Brings in a goalie to play and he can't even be arsed making him come to training. Incredible. Surely we're on the only full-time team in Britain who employ players that don't even train with us?

  23. This Is The End. I don't normally gives stars or ratings but this was 0/10. I'm genuinely curious as to what kind of movie they thought they were making. Comedy? I didn't laugh. Not once. There was not a single redeeming feature about the film, not even any of the "cameos" I leave it to better reviewers to point out the gargantuan flaws in it.. I just hated it all.

  24. I don't suppose the majority of contributors to this thread will come across the P&J regularly, but I feel Derek Adams has opened up on his tactical decisions slightly. Towards the end of last week he talked about Melvin de Leeuw "being a number 10 really" and how de Leeuw thrives on the free role he is given (but can't be trusted with defensive responsibilities). Yesterday he discussed the midfield diamond and why putting wing-backs to assist the full-backs at the end of the match helped towards keeping the point that he felt he lost at the start of the season. It's not often that we get enjoyable tit-bits from the manager so I thought it was worth mentioning.

  27. 40 today yaaaaas. I now have a legitimate reason to wear a flat cap, wave a stick aggressively at teenagers and complain that there is nothing on the TV and even the repeats are pish. Might sign up for some funeral insurance and one of those motorised stair lifts later.

  36. Its not a loan though, is it? Its an up-front purchase of a subscription, for want of a better word. If I paid for my Sky TV, for example, in advance for the year I would become a creditor in the event Sky went bust. Im not loaning Sky money, nor expecting anything in return other than the goods I am paying for

The very first bird that appeared, we had one similar interest.... Pie and Bovril. She was actually quite nice, although I hit "No" as I thought it might be some sort of sting operation.

  40. What do they mean when they say that the UoF want to see the club back operating to high standards off the pitch and in the boardroom? Is this really it? Dave Kings master plan that we have been waiting on the edge of our seats for? His 4 year plan should he get control of Rangers, and he only needs 50m to do it. Am I missing something? What exactly is his plan? Beat Celtic, that's it.

  41. It's not the truth though is it? People may believe Scotland can manage it's own affairs, but they may think their affairs are better managed as part of the UK than by an independent Scotland. They may not believe they're being shafted by the current system. You could use your argument for any group of people or any geographical location. It's nationalist nonsense.

  42. The early stages of the pregnancy were equally tough for the both of us. For the first ten weeks Carol suffered from almost incessant nausea, not to mention frequent bouts of oral vomiting. While, for my part, I was having a hell's own job getting a reasonable quote for a new fan belt.
