NoSurrendyBendy's bigot world is an awful strange place. Celtic's dark age sectarianism = bad Rangers dark age sectarianism = good. What an absolute throbber. You seriously need to take a look at yourself, is it any wonder that you're an embarrassment to yourself, your fanbase, and your country? With half a brain, you might actually be dangerous.6 points

Just another day on the BRALT - our resident bears posting all day long about.. er.. celtic.4 points

That is a very good post and has swayed me to vote Yes. Not kidding, man. For a politics simpleton such as myself this was nice to read. It will be hard at first to change. But I think we can do it. And I think if we were all to say no it would be a portrayal of the typical negative attitude from Scottish people. People do say Scots are a negative bunch. I think it's just time to be positive and say yes. If we don't try it we'll never find out.4 points

I voted Yes in the first poll but then it was more a "f**k it, why not" attitude. Having researched it all further it has consolidated my vote and I don't think anything will be able to change that now. That coupled with BT doing nothing but trying to scare people and smear the SNP rather than actually offering up anything solid for the voters to think on has really hardened my vote. I hope to convince a few people over the next year, my parents being two for starters but I appreciate that it's their vote and if they think No is the way forward fair enough. I think this will be huge missed opportunity if we do vote No though.3 points

It's actually Steven Ward videography but I'll let you off. It's my brother that does it all. Doesn't get help from anyone. He films it, edits it, does the voice overs "you're watching Raith TV" etc. He works extremely hard to give everyone the best possible experience for watching Rovers highlights. Easily a credit to the club, and recieves little in return. He does all this with a full time job as well.2 points

The citing of the Celtic banners is hardly relevant and represents yet more whataboutery. Having said this though, I can understand why Rangers fans might wish to highlight such despicable shite when enduring charges of bigotry from Celtic fans. Both clubs are far too tolerant of their scumbag elements, recognising how sizeable they respectively are. The Green Brigade are an embarrassment which Celtic should confront. They won't though.1 point

Anyone else reckon its time unfortunately to close this thread (ahh the memories) ?. This is turning into a ******ing joke. I am sick to death of the continual point scoring and tit for tat "former" Old Firm sh*t. Why we need to be subjected to "What about Celtic..." and "what's Sectarian/not Sectarian" on this thread is beyond me. Its just reached a point where it's wasting everyones time going through 5-10 pages for any update on the situation, but we have to read complete drivel which has less intelligence than a conversation in a Primary School playground. As everyone keeps telling you Bendy etc "OLD FIRM FORUM FOR THIS P*SH". Now **** off unless you have any views or news on this specific thread.1 point

voting yes, never intended to vote any other way. the UK is a busted flush.1 point

Was a yes, still a yes. I know of literally no-one who has gone from yes to no as time has gone on (someone will post an example now just to shut me up) but plenty going the other way. That surely speaks volumes.1 point

I read on twitter that there are kids in Glasgow getting their Christmas meal this year from a food bank. We have 98.8% of the UK's oil and we tolerate this? Do they have food banks in Norway?1 point

If i've gotten it wrong then perhaps you can explain what the banner is about? To me and other Celtic fans i''ve spoken to - the Green Brigade are saying that Flower of Scotland is similar to rebel/IRA songs. Where the H comes in to it, i do not know. Once again, in your own time...1 point

Yes from me, Unions about the past, independence about the future don't want to be tied to a government that makes most of its decisions for the good of the City of London and the South East of England.1 point

A chain wraps around a group set on a bike. No hinging. Is there some kind of "in-joke" here that I am missing, is your stupidity an act? You have just wished an accident on me. A slipping chain can throw you off the bike, especially if you dont have clips or SPDs. Worst case, hit by a following vehicle. Cyclists live longer than non cyclists. Well known fact. With my heart and lungs, I will live much longer than you mate.1 point

I don't think anyone could argue with you about that. To be fair to Rangers though, there wouldn't be very many clubs that had a stadium or facilities over a thousand years ago.1 point

Firstly I would like to thank everyone for their words of support and advice. I was slightly worried about posting but after reading the thread and seeing everyone else's stories I think it was a good thing I did. Last night I actually managed to sleep and felt a weight off my shoulders so to everyone who replied to my post I Thank You... After my appointment today it seems the best solution to my problems is counselling. I have been before but only ever for short period of times of 3-5 sessions and I have agreed to keep going now for a sustained period of a minimum of a couple months. I think realising and admitting I have an illness has helped, it has been hard to take but i'm as ready as I ever will be to confront it and move on. First things first I am going to look for a job outside of my own work. Working for myself and not always having regular work has been an issue for me recently so I am going to look for something even if its just temporary to get regular work. Another thing I have chose to do is to stop drinking. I'm not a heavy drinker by any means however I class myself as a binge drinker. I struggle to stop once I start and recently I have noticed myself have a couple vodka's and wake up and the whole bottle is gone. It is a choice I am making as I don't want anything to stop my progress. I need to look forward and fight my way through this. I feel positive about this and it's the correct way of moving forward again with my life. I dwelled on the past but what happened, happened. I can't change it and I can't do anything about it. I need to think about the future and to make it as good as possible.1 point

First thing I'll say to you is this: do not feel "horrible" or "selfish" about taking an overdose. The idea that suicide (attempted or otherwise) is "selfish" is wrong. It happened because you felt that way at the time. It doesn't make you a bad person. Secondly, you're not alone. You can do it but you might just need some help to get there, and there's nothing wrong with that. There's people who can offer that and you only need ask. Start with the most important issue to you right now and work from there, one step at a time.1 point
-
Most folk on here (this thrread) said they couldn't give a shit about it. I certainly didn't. I personally thought the issue was the media hyping shit up and whipping up a frenzy. Re debts; I got myself fucked up with them too. You really shouldn't worry about it. By the sounds of things you don't have any funds coming in anyway so they can't do anything in that regard. Also baliffs don't exist in Scotland so they won't be coming round to your door; if anyone ever does, they have zero legal rights and you can just tell them to f**k off. But none ever will due to them having no legal powers in Scotland and the cost isn't worth it for them. I imagine they'll be threatening to put a default against you; if they are threatening this, chances are it's already happened. They'll phone and email and even text you a lot I'd imagine, and it can be quite disconcerting and worrying, but you have to realise that they can't do anything to you. The way forward is to speak to a local citizens advice and rights branch. My debt was something like £7500, and I got a debt arrangement scheme to sort it out. I'll be paying £60 a month for about 7 years (I know the maths doesn't add up here, but the companies accepted it) and it's was such a relief when I got it sorted. I don't get any calls, letters, emails or texts any longer. In fact I don't even deal with the companies at all; it's all done through the firm that are dealing with my DAS. I was really worrying about this as well, but when I got it sorted it really helped. I'm on some sort of credit blacklist for 7 years, but that doesn't bother me as I can't envision me needing credit any time soon. I never needed it in the first place but it was easy to get and helped me with an addicition problem. The other options you have are to call each company you owe money to and come to some sort of arrangement with them individually, or bankruptucy (costs £200 in Scotland which I always found ludicrous; if you want to bankrupt, you're surely fucking skint, so how can you afford £200?!). So today, if you can, do two things; 1. Change your bank account. Don't give any of the companies you owe money to the details of the new account. Move all your funds (if you have any) to the new account. 2. Make an appointment with your local citizens advice and rights organisation.1 point
