  1. About 500 of your lot have spouted the same bullshit on here. You cannot "return to the very top", because your tribute act hasn't yet made it to the very top in order to return. Well, to be fair you did make it to the top of the Third Division, and you're nuking your way to the top of the Second, both at eye-watering cost. It's not a "frustrating" or "bewildering path" you're on - it's the comedy gold path, which gives the P&Ds no end of mirth as you stumble through leagues you should be winning with a tenth of the budget you have blown to beat Ordinary Joes in part-time leagues along the way. My opinion is that you won't make it to the very top for a long, long time yet. Much financial pain coming Rangers' way soon, and no real saviours out there - only sharks and crooks. Do keep up.

  2. Welcome to the UK, where all footballers get paid millions for nothing, and toddlers get slashed by death-trap tea sets. Like if you want a change, ignore if you want paedos to move into the houses left vacant by our lads in Iraqistan.

  3. Excitingly, the book will now contain a section of DVD Extras with more words of wisdom from Jocky. This has absolutely nada to do with me miscalculating the book's extent and needing to fill several pages at the back.

  4. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm actually starting to hate Labour more than the Tories. With the Tories you at least know what you're getting; a party that doesn't give a damn about Scotland and who when it comes to policy making won't even have us in their thoughts. But the Scots associated with Labour actually make me more angry when I watch them on T.V. Sarwar and Lamont are two of the most unsavoury politicians I've ever come across, and they would rather vote against independence because Alex Salmond supports it and not because they believe it will mean Scots are worse off as a result.

  5. A bit like you adding the letter "H" to anything remotely Catholic or Celtic-minded so carry on with your double standards. Degrading a whole grouping of people...... I refer you to the last sentence I just typed. Pot = kettle = black = Bendarroch. Please carry on with your one-(small-minded)-man crusade. You obviously have a burning desire to maintain anything longer than a soundbite. Good luck. Your life must be pretty miserable if all you can do is hang on to the ramblings of a.... what was it again?..oh aye, I remember... scummy hate-filled bigot. You're nothing but shit on my shoe. A nobody.

  9. There are known knowns; there are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns; that is to say, there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns – there are things we do not know we don't know. Donald Rumsfeld 2002. Lots of known knowns. Craig Whyte is a con merchant. The Rangers 'legends' were a bunch of self centered money grabbing hired mouthpieces. The Majority of those who have been on the Rangers board over the last 20 years should be strung up. (and many more) Known Unknowns. Has Ally taken the pay cut yet? Could Dave King be a fit and proper person according to the SFA? Who are the people behind Blue Pitch and Maguerita Holdings? Why is the board stalling the AGM as long as possible? (and many more) Unknown unknowns But the unknown unknowns is the fun one. What have these dodgy geezers really done? Thoughts please? And no suggestion will be laughed at no matter how outrageous. Chances it we will find it to be true. If past history has anything to go by.

  14. Football fans are fickle. If Butcher goes I reserve the right to start shouting "DIEEEEEGO!" at him and claim he wasn't that good anyway. If he stays then I will say he is a legend and I never doubted he was going.

  17. While I agree xbl's early exit is a bit of a shock we shouldn't go overboard. It's akin to Nottingham Forrest being papped oot the FA Cup in the 3rd round. While Magees inclusion is similar to Mean Machine making the quarter finals.

  18. Sorry to bring your thread back a few pages but I just love watching the crowd erupt when that winner goes in. The sheer joy of so many people, bodies flying around everywhere, players going mental and dejected opposition lying on the ground. Football is great.

  22. Ludicrous idea. The forum will die a death if people cannot come across it, and sign up immediately to take part in whatever debate caught their eye. The logical extension of a minimum post count for people to post in the rest of the forum is to see people desperate enough making however many hundred posts quickly in one thread. It would be like the Counting thread!

  26. The Gray Ghost also enjoyed the Gray Ghost's incarnation. The most challenging part of the Gray Ghost's character was remembering to change all the abbreviations. So "IMO" became "ITGGO". The Gray Ghost found that to be tough going. The Gray Ghost is surprised that people also remember Xbass Threepwood though!

  29. I believe Dirty Dancing has an issue with the gratuitous display of man's buttocks. I wonder how long they're going to spin out 'Nicks's doing fine - something trivial happens and he loses the rag'. I see we have a nasty, deceptive Todd. This could be interesting. I think they've gone over the edge with Grace and her scheming ways, she's a bit too calculating for someone her age if you ask me. The distress Roy is in is quite upsetting. He's doing it well though.

  36. I think the reaction to my placing says it all, doesn't it? Post after post, which no other poster so far has got. Shows that I am kind of a big deal here. I expected to be a few places higher (I was predicting mid to late 30s), but I'm not too surprised. Seems you all are...should have voted for me then!

  40. Ballingry 0 v 8 Sauchie Ended up a bit of a rout but if Ballingry had taken there chances in the 1st 30 mins they could have been up 5 2 . The chances they missed they didn't even make the keeper have to save them with the ball going wide or over . The difference was Sauchie capitalized on defensive mistakes and the home side couldn't . 3 0 at half time and 2 Ballingry players decided to have a square go on the way to the dressing rooms with one of them getting a red card . Sauchie overwhelmed them 2nd half taking the score to 8 . Scorers were Winters 3 , Samuells 2 , Hendrie , Cummings , Comrie . Also nutshell heard the manager was at a wedding .

  41. I'll take this as an example. Kirkcaldy isn't great for things to do, no. But there's a second-tier football club, a British National League ice-hockey club, a professional rugby club, two golf courses, a swimming pool/leisure centre, multiple gyms, two astroturf pitches, a couple of indoor pitches, numerous public parks, retail park, a poor but not terrible town centre, dozens of pubs and clubs, dozens of restaurants, direct transport links within forty minutes to Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth, St Andrews. Would the place be transformed if it had a bowling alley, a cinema and a Nandos? No. It's virtually the same as any other town. I'm no expert on the amenities of, let's say Ayr as it's a similar size, but I'd bet it'll be much the same. As I said earlier, the worst places to stay are 'schemes' within or on the outskirts of cities, or in a shitey village with nothing to do and nowhere to go. Overall most towns are much of a muchness, we just tend to overstate how bad places are if we live there/near it, or if we have bad experiences there.
