  3. You're missing a trick Barry, you could get the action figures going as well, if you think back to star wars figures, the fairmuir club could be your millenium falcon. Kids could 'whoosh' Jocky around, fighting various baddies (like MAC) shouting "wha's in cherge cunto" etc. Just picture that scene of domestic bliss, you owe to kids everywhere to make it happen.

  4. I'm still baffled as to why so many of them hate Turnbull Hutton? Rangers - "we want to go to the third division and work our way back up" TH - "we agree, I wish the authorities would stop trying to shoehorn them in to Div 1" Rangers - " right, you're on ra list" weird.

  5. Nah, I made it up. Don't think you could even get a decent signal inside a bin to be honest. Unless he's on the hobofone network. £20 a month, 500 jakey to jakey minutes.

  6. Bit creepy is this not? Lets stick to criticising him for his actions on here eh, not for his appearance or things he does off the site? (referring to Reynard here)

  7. I'd start with lichtie23, booitsme7 and Eednud, who between them have over 15,000 posts on the Word Association thread (maybe the worst thread in the entire history of the internet).

  8. I like the "all these chemicals put in ecstasy give you liver problems/heart problems/memory loss/blah/fucking blah" justification for keeping drugs illegal, don't you realise if it were legal the government could control it and remove all the shite that goes into ecstasy, therefore making it safer for the user. I agree on locking stoners up though, too many of them I see running through the high street at weekends, square going anyone who looks at them wrongly, smashing bottles over peoples heads, raping and pillaging women as they go. They are a danger to society.

  10. I hope that in the run-off to the vote next year more is made of this disgusting 'foreigners' chat from the unionists. Having spent last week in England and then Poland for work, I decided that the difference in my attitude towards these two groups was precisely this: zero. I don't fucking care that the Poles are 'foreigners'. They're still sound if they're sound and not if they're not. Ethnic politics are the absolute worst and the Unionists need to be shamed into stopping it because there's no telling where it'll lead if they don't.

  11. As ever people completely overlooking the fact that most medium-to-large Scottish towns are much of a muchness - there's not much to do, some shite parts, some really nice parts, and crime isn't really a big deal. The worst places to live are schemes either within cities or on the outskirts (Possilpark, Parkhead, Ferguslie, Niddrie) or shitey inbred villages in the arse end of nowhere with no escape (Fallin, High Valleyfield, Merkinch, Shortlees, Newton Stewart, etc). Other than that it's all one big cockwaving contest. "We've got a new cinema", "aye but we've got a bowling alley", "your high street is shite", etc.

  14. taurus Sauchie 4 0 Tranent Sauchie should have scored more but woodwork and an excellent display from the Tranent keeper kept it at 4 . Sauchie started well but couldn't find the back of the net ,hitting woodwork twice ,before we were awarded a penalty for a trip on Samuel that Winters put away. 5 minutes later Sauchie went 2 up from an own goal . 2-0 at half time . Tranent weren't in it but came out second half and pushed Sauchie hitting the bar themselves but Samuel put the game out of their reach with a headed goal . sauchie scored at full time with a Tully header to cap a man of the match display . Have to say Tranent had a loud support who jeered Samuel but it was because he's our high profile player and not for any racist motives . Best of luck to Tranent for the rest of the season . First time thru at Sauchie last Saturday and apart from the score, it was a great day out. Glad to see the quote about jeering Samuel was not racial, spot on. U played some great stuff but Tranent were just poor on the day, apart from our keeper (doubt we will keep him much longer). There are some good youngsters at our club playing for nothing and they hopefully learned a thing or to from your team on Saturday. Thanks to the Sauchie crowd (and those in the club) for a great day.

  20. The thing with Johannson is I don't think he is able to play a lot of tennis without his shoulder injury flaring up. Soderling said in August he was hoping to be back for the Paris Masters, but his comeback has been further delayed. Really is a shame that both players were hindered by illness and injury heading into their peak years. Soderling has been inactive for over a year now so does not have a world ranking anymore. If he was to come back he will be hoping that Tournament directors are kind and offer a few wild cards. Tursunov, Donskoy and Youhzny all played 500 events and did not compete in the Russian side. Tursunov made the semi finals at Valencia before losing to Youhzny. Alex Bogmolov Jnr was the only player in the top 100 that played in the Russian side.and he never got entry into the 500 events. I meant to say could you name a player that actually played instead of could have played. The other Russian I had heard of was Karen Khachanov and that is only as he did well in a Russian event (made the QFs) and looking on the live score app I genuinely thought it was a man vs woman exhibition! I could not name any of the players from the Denmark, Sweden of South African teams. I have looked at their teams and the results, and I am still none the wiser.

  25. Cut down on every single business which isn't the first team so that we can put more of our turnover into being successful on the park without blowing money we don't have. This is the sole purpose of a football club.

  29. seeing as City wins against Whitehill are as rare as hen's teeth and City stuffings of Whitehill are even rarer there can only be one motor vehicle this week: yes, even this jaded old cynic has to award the coveted Ferrari this week. Keep it up lads and that coveted 7th place can be ours... if you're no bouncing you're no City, ole ole!

  32. I'm quite excited now, I just popped on twitter there, and it is a Unionist bloodbath! The thought of them mentioning (and it will likely be 5 seconds and move on) the Wings poll has brought them all out in crazy. Ad Lib is probably sitting in a corner rocking back and forth. And Ian Davidson too! Bloodbath! For those not sure who Dennis Canavan is, this is him in full red clydeside mode: What about a wee dug?

  34. I would like to think that I've been allowed back because of the positive actions I've taken to rekindle my life. Do you even do hydrotherapy? What I can tell you is that 'The Collector' took his ban with a pinch of salt. He's potentially world class at Tennis, so he's been hitting the courts of Craiglockart with his usual success. Some posters are desperate to return because they have issues (and I would have include myself in this group) but Eric a huge loss to the community, but he owes us way more than we could ever repay. The collector was our Mandela, a leader a man of the people, a man not afraid to break the rules for the greater good of his community. Except the Collectors is actually fair skinned, unlike Mandela who' Black. Will he be back? Who knows but never give up hope friends for the return of the prodigal son.

  35. Isn't it quite interesting how everyone who is against drug legalisation - and tacitly for the war on drugs - admits they don't know a lot about the topic and it's "just their opinion". Well, yah, because if you did know about it - that would not be your opinion. My contribution to this thread has been terrific, incredibly specific and relevant.

  36. The posters from the olden days long for it because there were far less posters so they were more of a big deal. The new generation who have come through and are funnier, more intelligent and more clued up on football have pushed them to the back of the line. Club DECE was the embodiment of this IMO. The good posters from the old days have retained their positions near the top of the card, the likes of ICT Chris, Fudge and Swampy. The midcarders have got lost in the shuffle and don't like it.

  37. Once I went to what I thought was a house party a friend was having in Irvine. However it turned into a night out at the local night club with a bunch of unemployed, homeless ex squadies who were all sleeping on sofas at various relatives houses and who were tanked up to the tits on Buckie. In the taxi they chanted "Fight! f**k! Fight! f**k! Fight! f**k!" like some kind of battle cry and generally acted incredibly aggressive and mental. Although not confirmed I got the distinct impression I was the only passenger in the taxi that hadn't killed before making it one of the most terrifying experiences of my life. I was genuinely resigned to requiring a casualty ward blood transfusion before the night was out, if I was lucky, before I even got out the taxi. Then it occured to me that these guys were 'my friends' and there might be others just like them with less than the very small connection I had with these guys. When I got to the club, the name of which I forget, I was forced to get unbelievable tanked up myself just to get through a seemingly endless night of Survivor and Bryan Adams songs played at 2000 decibels, sexually voracious ugly slappers and a host of spilled my drink/you looking at my burd dagger carriers. Everyone was split up at the club but the squadies would occasionally bump into me and ask if I was getting "any trouble" or wanted anyone "done in". The squadies all got shags off the sisters of their last shags and disappeared leaving me on my own to deck two metal fans in leather jackets and studs who tried to rough me up at the taxi rank. What can I say, the 'spirit of the place' had latched on to me. It was only the third, and last time, I have ever hit anyone as an adult. With this in mind I nominate Irvine as the worst town in Scotland.
