  1. Unsure if this has been posted yet, brilliant read: "Stewart Regan tonight stands condemned by one of the most appalling press interviews ever given by a senior official in the Scottish game. But before I start talking about what he did say, let's be very clear on what he didn't say; he didn't say that there will be social unrest if Rangers are not in SFL 1. He used the term "social unrest" in the context of there being no Rangers whatsoever … or at least, no NewCo club bearing that name. I will defend him from that charge – which at least one website has repeated, without getting its facts right – but no other. For this is a man who has run out his rope, and should now be sent on his way. We are facing a truly astonishing, historic, and potentially devastating moment for Scottish football here. Tonight, we have the head of the Scottish Football Association – a man brought in to revolutionise and modernize the game – threatening the smallest clubs, those who his "duty of care" is greatest to, with penury for daring to put the integrity of the sport first. This is a scandal paralleled only by what is going at Ibrox, and in doing so he has lashed himself to the mast of that sinking ship. His handling of this whole crisis has been a joke, from the way he has defended Campbell Ogilvie through to his statements tonight, which annihilate any credibility he had. It is untenable for the head of the game's governing body to threaten member clubs who are putting the well-being and reputation of the sport first. He cannot survive it. The logic of his position is so twisted contemplating it requires copious amounts of Jack Daniels; he is saying that Rangers must be an SPL club this time next year. Not only is he suggesting that he will refuse to acknowledge the will of the SFL clubs in this matter, but he is actually threatening the very integrity of next year's First Division title race itself, before a ball is even kicked. This makes this a unique and horrifyingly history maker in world sport – a governing body leader actually blatantly, openly and unequivocally prejudicing the outcome of a sporting event. It is almost unfathomable, a moment that has no parallel or precedent. How UEFA and FIFA can stand back and allow I cannot even begin to comprehend, but if there was ever a time for member clubs to report their national association to the continental body then this is surely it. My sincere hope is that not one club but many clubs will do so, and ask UEFA to act with urgency to resolve it. But we cannot wait for UEFA. This goes much deeper now than just the future of the club calling itself Rangers. It is an issue so vast it dwarfs even that. This may have begun with a scandal at Ibrox, but this scandal now goes to the heart of everything about the game here, and the people who run it. They have shown themselves to be craven, self-interested, shameless and incompetent. But more than that, they have proven themselves to be thoroughly and undisputedly corrupt. Stewart Regan, Neil Doncaster and David Longmuir have shamed and disgraced their offices. These people first tried to ram Rangers in the SPL down our throats. Rules would be ignored or just rewritten to accommodate it. Doncaster told journalists off and on the record that he wanted the club in the league "no matter what" they had done – thus prejudicing an independent investigation which his own organisation was running, and casting a dark shadow over another investigation being held by the SFA itself. This marked him out early as an enemy of the sporting integrity of the game, and as someone who could not be trusted to do what was right. As an independent committee of the SFA – one removed from the "old ways" (and we know what that means alright) of doing things- delivered its hammer blow against Rangers by imposing a signing ban, there was talk their decision had shocked Stewart Regan to the core. His behaviour since would indicate that this is the case; he did not do anything to stop Rangers taking the case to the Court of Session, and he has refused to punish them for doing so. The SFA committee which is to impose the new penalty has yet to be reconvened. His comments tonight have prejudiced that future committee as surely as Doncaster's remarks of earlier have prejudiced the SPL one. For that alone, both men should be calling taxis. Yet they didn't stop there. Did David Longmuir pen the now notorious "consultation document"? Unknown. But he would have seen it, and he would have had to approve it. From a stance where he stated, plainly, football integrity had no price and that NewCo Rangers could not be put in the SFL at any level other than the bottom, where he actually stated that there was "no mechanism" for doing so, he has turned 90 degrees. His position now is that it can be done and furthermore that it should be done, nee must be done, and that sporting integrity comes second to commercial considerations. He too should be packing his pencils when this thing is resolved. Doncaster's fingerprints were all over that "consultation document." So too were Regan's. They either authored it or commissioned it, and pushed it on him. But he accepted it without questioning it, and now is willing to subvert the rules of his own organisation because of it despite the fact the numbers in at are impossible to verify, and its key assertions have been openly questioned, with one chairman (Raith Rovers, step forward Turnbull) flatly telling the media that he did not believe them. He is not alone in holding that view, as many other club officials have verified over the last few days. This crisis spread from the SPL to the SFA and now infects the SFL. In supporting the assertion that the SPL needs Newco there within a year he too is prejudicing the outcome of next season before it even begins, by accepting the caveat that Scottish football needs Rangers to be promoted. If they find themselves in SFL 1 the simple fact is that David Longmuir, Neil Doncaster and Stewart Regan will have accepted a premise whereby the SFL's flagship competition starts with a pre-determined outcome. There will be a clearly stated "requirement" that Newco move up from his organisation's own flagship league, before a ball is kicked. He is violating the very ethos of sport itself and if there has been a more flagrant breach of faith with the notion of a "level playing field" I have never heard of it, in anywhere, in any game. All of this is cause enough to fire these people with immediate effect. Yet they went further. Doncaster has lied to clubs at every stage, including, if you believe Charles Greentonight, and there is no reason not to, Newco Rangers itself. With the vote outcome looking tough, he tried to cobble together a package of "acceptable sanctions", to arrange a hasty pre-vote meeting to sell his wares and then attempted to have the meeting itself postponed – which would have thrown the entire game in this country into unimaginable chaos. He even tried to sell the idea of a secret ballot, all the easier to flog his scandalous plans and afford "deniability" to people who, themselves, would have had to have lied to their own supporters. It is to the credit of the chairmen that they rejected the suggestion outright David Longmuir has now subverted his own organisation to the extent he screwing with the voting system, changing their rules on the hoof and is actually banning one club from having a vote at all. And then there's tonight, and Regan … What we might be about to see will make everything that has come before seem legitimate. The subversion of two independent panels, with the guilt of Rangers already established will be a seismic event which will be felt in the halls at Nyon and Zurich. The punishments in those cases are enough to wipe Newco off the map – the very thing Regan has said would cause "social unrest". That those committees will be "leaned on" is now without doubt. Yet something even more staggering may be coming. If the SFL clubs follow through on their principles, and Rangers Newco is treated like any other club, and thereby must start in SFL 3, these men have suggested they may apply a truly nuclear solution to what they view as "the problem."David Longmuir and Neil Doncaster, with the connivance of Stewart Regan, may actually, wilfully, destroy their own organisations and start again. Longmuir may sell out any number of the clubs he has a direct responsibility to support and care for. The guardians of the sport may actually annihilate it instead … deliberately, to get their way.The fans have said no. The clubs will have said no. There will be a complete unification of will, save for a few hold-outs who will see some advantage for themselves in the chaos. The overwhelming opinion of almost everyone who TRULY matters will have been heard, will have been given, and will have been wilfully rejected as without merit. The views of the clubs will have been ignored. The views of the fans will have been treated with contempt.Only a small number of chairmen actually WANT this. The fans are almost united in their rejection of it. Incredibly, if you polled the supporters of every club the view would be UNANIMOUS. Even the fans of the club all this is being done for do not WANT it. Their own rejection might be coached in their typical ego, arrogance and even hate … but their view is no less valid because of that, and their opinion no less valuable. No decision in the history of sport has ever been taken in the face of overwhelming opposition. The views of everyone in it, from chairmen to paying customers, have never been ridden roughshod over to this staggering degree. How can the sport survive if the fans who follow it, the clubs which make it up and the rules which underpin it are ALL systematically destroyed in such a fashion? How can men of supposed intelligence ever believe this would be accepted?Furthermore, the entire SPL 2 thing is a bluff, as anyone who looks at it must be acutely aware. If Rangers Newco is voted into Division 3 that is where they will be next season and no amount of bluster or fury will change that fact, because a restructuring of the game along SPL 2 lines would take a minimum of one year to implement, and would plunge the entire game into civil war, with no hope of any outcome which did not devastate the sport. It cannot be done in that timeframe and it will not be done in that timeframe. If it is going to happen at all it would have to be done at the end of the season, and that would assure an entire summer of battling and legal disputes which would make this close-season seem like a warm up fight before a heavyweight title bout. What would it involve? Well it would involve Newco Rangers not simply starting its existence two leagues above where it belonged but would see a club one year old discarding the whole notion of sporting meritocracy and leaping over two or more entire divisions to take a seat at the top table … putting Scottish football not on a par with professional sports but with Snakes and Ladders. It is hard to imagine the outrage it would cause from the fans of each and every club in the country, not to mention the legal war which would erupt. We would, in that scenario, be looking at a thermonuclear version of where we were a month or so ago, with NO fans buying season tickets, with boycott threats ten decibels higher and with rage underpinning them which would sweep entire boards of directors away if they dared resist. You want to look at a Year Zero scenario? That would be it. What's more, knowing that such a thing was coming, the fans response would be planned well in advance and instead of coming from individual supporters of single clubs it would be a co-ordinated effort of mammoth proportions, with deadly consequences underpinning it all the way. It would be multi-club, unifying fans from all across the game, and it would be devastatingly effective. Sky would find itself with less customers, bookmakers with less punters and soft drinks manufacturers finding themselves second, for the first time ever, to the multinationals on their own doorstep. In other words, Year Zero for more than just football. How long do you think such a setup could be sustained? How many seasons could it succeed? I would wager that within a year we would be rebooting … again. But none of that has to happen. There is a way forward which can resolve these issues and make things go a lot more smoothly. There is a way in which fan power can be exercised early, to resolve these matters and bring closure, and clarity, to this situation. The supporters who have lobbied their clubs thus far, the clubs who feel they have been let down, the people who have acted with courage, all of them can do so one last time. Fans can contact their directors and make one last demand. Directors can convene EGM's. Those who believe they have been told lies can choose to act. One more time, let the campaign begin. The three men who have dithered, obfuscated and even lied; the men who would subvert the rules; the men who would prejudice naturally occurring outcomes; the men who prevaricated, stalled and even hidden away when the going got tough can be removed from their posts before they do any further damage. It takes just ONE group of fans to influence ONE club in each section of our game. Those fans would force their board to table motions of No Confidence in the chief executive of their respective part of the structure … and that will trigger the vote.Does anyone believe for ONE SECOND these men have served their respective bodies well? Does anyone believe any of them could successfully argue for their jobs, in the light of forensic examination of their roles? Doncaster, for one, claims financial cataclysm will be inflicted on the SPL should Rangers not be in it for more than one year; can he survive the scrutiny into who's fault that is? Can he survive when he negotiated the very contracts which he claims will be nullified in that instance, when he, and everyone in Scotland, knew something like this was, more than likely, on its way? Can Longmuir survive being party to threatening his own members? Can Stewart Regan survive considering his appalling statements tonight, and the way in which they prejudice so many of the underlying principles of our game?My money would be laid against it. Tonight, for the first time I can recall following football, I feel part of a fraternity, that of the Scottish football supporter, for a long time ignored, for a long time disdained, for a long time without a voice or a way to express it. All of that is over. We have the power. Now we have to use it. Not in the interests of our own clubs, but in the interests of the game itself. We have spoken up for integrity in the SPL and we have won.Now it is time to speak up for the sport, against those who betrayed it.Nothing we do as fans will ever be more important. This is not about which clubs we follow, but about the integrity, reputation and future of the game itself here in this country.Regan – Doncaster – Longmuir. Out. Out. Out.Scottish Football is bent, corrupt and is no longer a sport because of these morons. Stenny76 Posts: 25Joined: Fri Jul 06, 2012 11:46 am"

  3. I'm so effin sick of this shit. It's beyond entertainment now, it's actually upsetting. I'm totally torn about next season for me. Was looking forward to celebrating my club's first ever season in the top flight. Something I have been looking forward to, since they joined the SFL Division 3 in 1994. Yes, my team joined the SFL in the correct manner and worked hard to play in the top league. However, the game is so obviously weighted and corrupt that I don't know if I want to be part of it. In all seriousness I really wish my team was back in the Highland league. My dream has been ruined by cheating b******s and cottupt suits.

  5. I have been saying this for years. My club is on the gravy train that is the English Premier League and collected something like £45,000,000 in TV revenue last season alone. Our season ticket revenue is no more than one third of that despite crowds of around 40,000 average. We do not get the benefit of large numbers of away fans either as most of the league think its too far to travel and if they are going to bother, they would rather visit Newcastle in the (mistaken IMHO) belief that its a better night out. Next season the TV revenue is going to rise significantly yet again, but do I expect a discount on my £430 season ticket? What do you think? They will probably freeze the price again and pretend they are doing us a favour. Sunderland are well supported by anybody's standards. For most of my life (I am in my mid 40's) and for most of our history, we have been one of the top ten best supported sides in England and have been as high as 3rd in that list at times, even while being outside the top division for long periods. I was once in a 52,000 crowd for a second division game at Roker Park and my elder brothers could raise that by another 12.000. I think we were 6th or 7th top supported side again last season. Despite this, we have spent large periods outside the top league and this happened even before the TV revenue was significant, so big crowds do not always = success. It's about time that clubs in the Premier League gave something back to the people who create the atmosphere at grounds that sells their 'product'. Sunderland could let me and every other current season card holder in for nothing and not even notice the difference when this new TV deal comes into effect, but I won't hold my breath. They will pocket the extra and spend it on yet more foreign mercenaries in the forlorn hope of holding onto the coat tails of the likes of Liverpool, Villa and Spurs. Its frightening to think that Sunderland's take from the TV revenue dwarfs by a factor of three, the figure that (If you believe the bull), will lead to civil unrest and financial Armaggedon in Scotland. You might wonder what all this has to do with the Rangers story, but I see what is happening in Scotland now as a forerunner to what will happen down south sooner or later. Virtually every club in the top two divisions down here is budgeting for massive TV revenue and if it was ever to disappear then the Rangers thing will look minor by comparison. Even with riches beyond the dreams of what those of us who watched football in the 80's could ever dream of, clubs are still losing money year on year. Football seems to be the opposite of normal business practice in that the bigger your turnover, the bigger your losses. Not being funny, but if Sunderland had the equivalent of £45,000,000 in the 80's we could probably have won the European cup multiple times!! We have already seen the likes of Leeds and Pompey go tits up over the last few years, but in all honesty, those two are not historically really big clubs by English standards. They have both had brief periods of success but for the most part are not among the elite and have never been consistently among the best supported. We ain't seen nothing yet.

  7. The governing bodies exist solely to represent the interests of their constituent clubs (who in turn exist because of the fans). If the clubs themselves are willing to directly accept the financial hit, then the governing bodies should not be conspiring in secret to overrule them (which is exactly what is happening). The authorities believe that the game would bring in more revenue if it revolved entirely around the Old Firm. The clubs, for whatever reason, see the game as a competition, and are more interested in retaining the spirit of that than in maximising the numbers on the SFA's spreadsheets. The former are appointed by the latter. it's not their place to decide otherwise.

  8. First post on here, long time lurker........ be kind!! Just listening to Sportsound on Radio Scotland with Traynor etc. Previously heard Cosgrove deflate Archie, cutting a large hole in his ego (legend or not, he over estimates his importance with his ideas of what should have happened - nobody listened then and they aren't now). This caused me to register and put a post on. I will not take any of what Traynor is suggesting. I've already decided to attend some Raith games next season to offer my wee bit of support. Indeed I am incandescent with rage. This farce has to stop, I don't want football at any price, I want, indeed demand, fair competition within the rules. It is time to put people of other opinions alongside this muppet - he has no credibility - it has walked. There......................said it......................off my chest....................back to obscurity .....................

  9. Death or glory stuff now. The next week will be an all out war for us fans. Tens of thousands have spoken to say where a NewCo must be placed and yet still the governing bodies persist in trying to sneak this through and hope nothing happens. We're the lifeblood of the game, and yet they still disregard everything we're after. Fans have been more than reasonable to say they'd be content with a NewCo in division 3, they're a toxic, bigoted club who by all rights should be left to rot. Over the next week we must pull out all the stops to email the SFA, SFL, clubs and UEFA to let them know that this is simply intolerable. Hopefully, with the articles by the BBC and Alex Thomson being released, we'll see someone like Hutton start a chain reaction with chairmen saying it should be the decision of clubs. Right now, I think frankly they should be punted into touch. It is tragic, Rovers have done everything perfect during this saga. They've been heralded for their approach and Turnbull's impassioned tellings. However, if Rangers go back in at SFL1 level I don't know if I could stomach paying so much money to go and watch a competition that is rigged towards one team. I'll go to Laurie Ellis's testimonial, as he has been a fantastic servant to the club during his time and giving us Rovers fans our first Scottish cup semi-final in 47 years. Ellis deserves the money that he will receive from the testimonial. But that might well be my last game watching the Rovers. The money can easily be saved and used elsewhere in life. I'd love to go travelling and as it stands I'd rather commit to that than go to watch a game governed by suits with no interest in the fans and only in commercial interest at the top level.

  10. For me if Rangers are put into the 1st Division I aint going back no matter what Dougie Rae's position on the matter is. It's less of a boycott and just more of a "what's the fucking point?". I have no desire to watch football in a league that isn't a fair playing field.

  12. 'He also looked at the possibility of buying Carlisle, but believes we cannot merge with an English club. We would have to start at the bottom of the conference if we were to go to England'. I am sure the members of the 8 levels and numerous divisions below the Conference in the North of England will be surprised to learn that news. It seems not content with getting parachuted through 2 divisions in their own country, they now want to consider doing 4x worse in mine!! For future reference Charlie Boy, this is how the English Pyramid works in my part of the world; 1-Premier League 2-Championship 3-League One 4-League Two 5-Conference 6-Conference North 7-Northern Premier League Premier Division (Unibond Premier) 8-Northern Premier League First Division (Unibond First Division) 9-Northern League Division One 10-Northern League Division Two 11-Northern Alliance Premier Division or Wearside League 12-Northern Alliance Division One 13-Northern Alliance Division Two I have used the North East side of the country for the above example as its where I am and what I know best, but a similar tree exists on the North Western side and a lot of the most Northerly Cumbria based sides play in the North East anyway. The Wearside League at level 11 is therefore the lowest that any new team can enter the pyramid and they are running at 22 teams next season and have no vacancies. Both the Wearside league and the Northern Alliance have additional feeder leagues but these are not within the pyramid and access to both leagues is by election by the member clubs. Both leagues are currently full. I would suggest a good starting point for Newco Rangers would be either the North Northumberland League (level 14) and gain acceptance into the Northern Alliance Division Two having proved their worth at the lower level. With unbroken success we could see them reaching the heights of the conference by 2022 at the earliest and the Premier League by 2026. They could be back playing in Europe through league position by 2027!!

  13. As a Motherwell fan I am positively tumescent at the though of our Champions League adventure this year. However if the result of all this instiutional corruption and gerrymandering is having all the teams punted our of Europe by UEFA then so be it. That's what you get for not playing by the rules. Fat Boy Traynor said he's fed up hearing about sporting integrity. You know what? I agree. It's even simpler than that, it's *sport*. If you make decisions based on the 'product' or what's right for 'going forward' then it's not a sport, at best it's an entertainment, at worst it's just plain embarrassing. Well I grew out of Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks a long time ago, and I can grow out of fixed Scottish football too.

  20. It's not about punishment. The point is that you can't make exceptions for anyone. If clubs can't survive without Rangers, then that's unfortunate, but they must adapt or die. We cannot promote Rangers because some clubs will find it difficult to cope without them. If that happens, it's not a sport.

  21. Yep there's no doubt that fifteen yrs ago oldco would have got away with this Scot free as would the sfa spl and Indeed the MSM. Re media it feels like a tipping point as they have been left so far from the mood of real fans it's laughable. I get the impression that the BBC is waking up but the likes of Chico and traynor need to be left with the dying tabloids. Social media in general and this thread in particular have shown them up. Regan and doncaster must go asap...dunno if its just cos they are English and grew up only hearing about the of but their zeal to corrupt the sport here purely for newcos sake suggests they have no idea how strong Scottish football was prior to sdm. Either way they need to go and take Ogilvy with them. By no means are all the battles won but fan power has already made a massive difference in a very short time

  22. Letter sent to my club: Can we get the official position of the club regarding allowing Newco to bypass division 3 and division 2. I am hopeful that we are sticking by your original statement and voting Newco to SFL 3 or nothing. I am sure that you are aware that there are a number of people that are un-willing to support Scottish football if the integrity of the sport is disregarded, I am one of those people and await a response such that I can commit to this years season ticket or not. I think that we should be ensuring that we are absolutely clear that we are not viewing this as a demotion of an SPL club but rather the automatic promotion of a new club and that all talk of parachuting should be replaced with rocket boosting! I would also ask what the SFL are voting for on Friday as there is currently no vacancy within the SFL for another member and changing this will require a 3/4 majority and not a simple majority as per the SFL regulation 60: 60. SUSPENSION OF RULES Members shall havepower by resolution passed at a general meeting by notless than seventy fiveper cent (75%) of the Members to suspend any ofthese Rules for adefinite or indefinite period of time and may adopt by a similar majority for adefinite or indefinite period of time, temporary Rules in addition to or in lieu thereof. Additionally, the following rules will need to be changed or suspended: Rule No/Reason 5 Constitution of the league 3 x 10 teams 8 Payment of non-refundable application fee (unless this has already been done) 22.2 No audited financial statements are available Finally there appears to be a misunderstanding on the legal standing of articles of association whereby the assumption that there is nothing in the articles that prevents the automatic promotion of a club to the highest division is incorrect. Articles determine what the organisation can legally do and therefore if something is not explicitly allowed by the articles then it not within the power of the organisation to do this without changing the rules and/or articles (requiring a 75% majority).

  23. This piece deserves to be up in it's entirety. Ayr chief Lachlan Cameron: SFL should run Scottish football because it's stronger than SPL Jul 6 2012 by Chris Roberts LACHLAN CAMERON insists only one body should run Scotland’s leagues – but it shouldn’t be the SPL. Ayr’s chairman reckons the men who operate the top tier are bottlers who failed to sort out the Rangers nightmare. He swears the SFL is a stronger body – but is adamant they should not be saddled with the task of deciding the future of the Ibrox newco. Speaking exclusively to Record Sport from California, American millionare Cameron demanded Rangers should start life again in the Third Division. Proposals for restructuring Scottish football include anSPL 2, which could feature Second Division Ayr, but Cameron said: “Why should an organisation that can’t handle Rangers going under be trusted with increasing in size? “The SFL is a much stronger organisation. The SPL broke away from the SFL and now everyone is suggesting it should be one body running the leagues and I agree with that. “But why should the SPL be that body? They’ve proven they are incapable of holding it together in the face of financial meltdown. “Since the SPL was formed Scotland has gone backwards. We haven’t reached a major finals and the money hasn’t been shared properly amongthe clubs.” Cameron blasted SPL chief Neil Doncaster and SFA boss Stewart Regan, insisting they should never have dumpedthe Ibrox crisis on the lap ofthe SFL. He said: “They kick Rangers out of the SPL but say, ‘Please put them in the First Division and not the Third’. “It’s a ludicrous situation for them to put us in. We are being forced to put Rangers into the First Division to save Scottish football’s bacon. “They are pretending there is nothing they can do about it so are punting it to the SFL. “The top men at both the SPL and SFA are shirking their responsibilities. The SFL have handled issues properly but when the SPL have one of their teams going into liquidation they claim the whole world is going to collapse. “They avoid making a decision and pass it on to someone else to sort the mess out. The SFL are better equipped than the SPL to handle tricky situations. “It is putting everyone in the SFL under pressure because we are being told by the SPL that Scottish football will collapse if Rangers are put into the Third Division. “We are being told we may have meltdown in the Scottish leagues so it’s been put to the SFL by the SFA and SPL to decide the future of Scottish football. “What they are saying is put Rangers in the First Division and everything will sort itself out. “Otherwise there will bemeltdown and it will be theSFL’s fault. “They say clubs will go to the wall and millions of pounds will be lost. The SPL should take responsibility for that instead of blaming the SFL.” Cameron has no doubts about where Rangers should be playing next season. He said: “They have gone into liquidation and it’s a new company so they should apply to join the SFL. “I wouldn’t suggest they go into oblivion because they have the facilities and fan base we look for when someone applies to the SFL. “The Third Division would be the perfect place for Rangers. There is pressure for them to go into the First by the SPL and SFA but I believe they should go intothe Third. “They are banned from Europe for three years anyway so let’s be realistic – the chances of getting back to the SPL are pretty good.” But Cameron believes the saga is far from over and reckons SPL 2 is closer to being a reality than most fans realise. He said: “I don’t believe for a second the SPL would put their lives in the hands of the SFL if there wasn’t something else going on. “One of the two biggest clubs goes under and there is supposed to be total financial meltdown if Rangers are not admitted to the First Division. “The SPL wouldn’t do what they are doing if they didn’t think Rangers wouldn’t be allowed into the SPL by another means. “There is no way with the history of the SPL they would allow Rangers to leave.”

  24. Not supporting my team is the option of last resort. I'd hate to throw away 20 years over this issue. However if the league system that they play in is institutionally corrupt in favour of 2 teams then what is the point? I'd also hate to stop going to Scotland games but once again the SFA are at the heart of this. If they are so in favour of this how can I lend my support to them? The thing is this isn't anti Rangers per se. Its a statement by the governing bodies that they will bend over backwards to support a team even though it goes against everything in their rule book.

  25. I think most of us acknowledge that most Newco fans want them to join the Third Division. The finances, regardless of what that fanny at Stenhousemuir thinks, are purely the concern of some SPL clubs that are run beyond their means - I have absolutely no sympathy for them, my club cut it's cloth why the f'ck haven't they ?? And just pay the f'ckin settlement agreement, it's contractual, not an feckin option ... and as for the SPL arranging deals that sponsors can walk away from ... what a bunch of utter tits - they are not fit for purpose - get them tae f'ck !!

  29. Surely then, the clubs must vote against Rangers entirely, and then they can return and apply for the vacant spot in the SFL (and so can any other club who wishes to) as a yes vote will result in the Board promoting Rangers to the First?

  31. Jim Traynor - Bit of a dick IMO. Anyone else noticed this?

  32. Just f**k off Traynor Starting to go about these phantom 'punishments' without mentioning that it is all self-inflicted and not actually punishments. John Robertson is being infected by Traynor's buffoonery. As for calling King Turbull's statement as 'bilge' - I wish Sammy would 'fix' the brakes on his car

  33. Yeah. Its not fit to lace Off the Ball's boots. Kind of sad that the Beeb see it as their "serious analysis" program. It's seriously dreadful. Traynor just said Turnbull Hutton's statement was "basically bilge"

  35. I think the oddest thing that's happened in this entire endeavour is that Off The Ball is now an essential piece of listening.

  36. This whole saga has just been like an extended version of "Call my Bluff". Since the beginning, all we have had, has been a never-ending procession of people telling us that "We cant do that" "We cant refuse the CVA" "We cant let Rangers die" "We cant have an SPL without Rangers/Newco" "We cant survive without Rangers/Newco" All these statements have been listened to, and rejected. So now we have another, "We cant have Newco in the 3rd division" It is now up to the chairmen of the SFL to continue "calling the bluff" of the doom-mongers, and say; "We can, and we will"

  38. Raith say "Ho! SFL! Wha's in cherge?" Raith carrying on the Clyde trend of getting people telt! Good statement to see, makes a lot of valid points and shoots a few holes in the scaremongering going about.

  43. WTF inspired the owner of this site to 'upgrade' at this time? Dickhead. Edit to add: 5 red dots (so far) including one from someone with a vested interest. It appears it's OK to criticise some people but not others. How sad.

  44. Here is how the chairmen reacted to the PowerPoint presentation

  45. Hmmmmm..... Statement says 36% voted no - what percentage voted? 'Cos if only 40% voted, that's a sizeable "f**k off" to a Newco..... 1. MJ has at least attempted to explain his actions in abstaining, and there is a weird sort of logic there: he appears to believe he was getting conflicting opinions from the KFC support. 2. He has been careful to refer to Green's mob by the "placeholder" title they currently (currantly) go by. It would be nice to see Cockwomble, Regan and Longmuir do the same. I still don't like MJ and the way he's behaved, but I'm satisfied that he has tried his best to do the right thing in trying circumstances. At the very least, he has spoken to the support to gauge their feelings, and has attempted to explain why he acted in the way that he did. Maybe in the next couple of years some of those having a pop at Killie will find their own clubs having to make unpalatable choices in a lose/lose situation. I would like to think we'll be a bit more understanding. Now, let's move on - I've got the weekend off for our first game, and my preferred choice is........ A dirty weekend with Mrs WRK 'cos the SPL has 11 teams, the SFL is full, and Killie can let the pitch bed in a wee bit!

  46. Once again the people who run Falkirk are wildly out of touch with what the supporters want. It'll be very difficult for me to go back as long as those in power are still there if they vote "yes" under ANY circumstances.
