Good article and seems to be that we are trying to shed the image created by Romanov previously. I am sure this will be picked apart by other clubs fans continually, possibly lots of champions league and world cup star quotes. dry.gif
Jambo'ness
Unfortunately Vlad has set too many precedents of outspokenness, everybody thinks he doesn't care if he's quiet.

Then, of course, if he does speak he's either accused of interfering or challenging authority.

Good to hear that things seem more settled at the moment, but EVERYONE will be thinking...for how long.

Vlad is funny but be in no doubt that Ogilvie is good for Hearts as he's an excellent administrator

Balanced interview shows this also

Unfortunately there are more whispers of money woes at tynecastle, I hope they are unfounded.
vlad is the man
Good interview.

Hopefully we follow up the words with actions and we continually go forward.

Dear Mr Ogilvie, (open letter alert )

You're getting a bit forgetful in your old age. You say in your interview....

Quote:I keep hearing about Vladimir saying he was going to win the Champions League with Hearts; I'm yet to find a direct quote from him on that. I don't think, being honest, he thought he could come in here and win the Champions League Here it is in The Times, dated 15th October 2005.........

Quote:“Our goal has to be champions of Europe. I want us to be at the stage where to do anything else, to come back without the trophy, would be shameful. I’d like to do it quicker but I think we’re looking at three years. Nobody believes us. That’s fine. Three years should suffice.” You'll note the quotation marks which have been lifted directly from the article, which can be read here......

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/spo...icle578561.ece

The whole thing's absolutely hilarious by the way and well worth a read.

It's up there on a par with.....

"I don't think they would have any debt by the end of this year,". Again, note the quotation marks. The article is dated October 2004 and is HERE.

Or what about.....

"There are various option still to be explored, but we intend our outlined planning application to go in within the next week,". That was Phil (remember him) and those pesky quotation marks are there again! That one's dated 12th October 2005 yet as far as I'm aware planning permission is still outstanding and it's Hearts who are holding things up.

And I could add.....

"World Cup players from Europe," was his response to being asked for names of the defender and midfielder. "There are two players who played in the World Cup, but after that there is a holiday. They have not signed yet. I hope next week, starting from Monday, I am hopeful of two or three players coming in." Would you believe it, it's those damn quotation marks again. This time it's Valdas in July 2006. You can read it HERE. Funnily enough, it's hilarious too!

I could go on but you know what, it's too ****ing easy.

How much of what you came out with today is the truth?

Seems to cover it nicely.

Seems Bertie has got the Hearts fans in his back pocket and they have no comeback. Ogilvie has been exposed as nothing more than yet another of Mad Vlads puppets

I'm not sure which is more predictable. A Hibby being obsessed with Hearts to a worrying degree or a halfwit Tic fan sucking a Hibbys bobby. rolleyes.gif smile.gif

I only posted what was the truth, as the news since has confirmed.

p.s. Well done Hearts for an outstanding victory on Saturday, only disappointing thing is you should have won by 3 or 4.

Hearts have issues with cashflow, that seems obvious, but in addressing the expenditure element I hope the need to control their debtors better is not overlooked.

Raith Rovers still owe us for players we loaned them last season, yet are table topping with some players we have loaned them this season, despite no money having been forthcoming from them. If we asked for that money, could they give us it? What about Livingston? They are not paying us on time for Clum, do they have it?

We are not the only club which is reliant on its owners' goodwill for survival. The SPL is boring and fewer and fewer people are going along because only two teams can win it. Dundee Utd and Aberdeen's crowds fall by the season and ours are returning to pre-Romanov levels too, are Aberdeen self sufficient with no reliance on Milne or United without the Thomsons?

Even our financial experts across the city rely on Tom Farmer. In recent years they may have made a profit on player sales, but that is no given. After Fletcher, who is left to sell?

Playing for 3rd isn't any fun, but playing the OF 8 times across a season leads to just that.

Yes it may be Hearts turn to be in trouble (it may not) but it could be any team, except two, in the SPL next.

Maybe instead of indulging in Arselikhan with Mad Vlad Ogilvie would have been better cobbling together a few quid so Hertz could have trained at Riccarton today instead of having to cut up the pitch at Tynie after being refused facilities at the training centre they don't own?

Just a thought.
