Any bowlers on p&b?

I'm a member at bellsburn bowling club, got to the semis of the club championship this year, and represented the club, in only my second season of playing.

Well done, stick at it and aim to go one step better next year.

I don't play bowls, but struggle to believe that no-one else on this site doesn't, so thought I'd give you a bit of encouragement and get this thread back to the top where hopefully now that the reply virginity has been broken on the thread more people will reply.

Sorry i missed this out first time round. Keep at it, I don't know how old you are, but at any age it's a good sport to get into.

Yeah I play bowls. Probably better to say i did play, last year I missed out because work came first but this season looking to get back in. I'm a member of the Ardross Alness Club, but really my little brother is the one who is really good at the sport. Over the last 2 years he has won 4 open pairs competitions and won the junior competition in the club for a second (maybe third....can't remember) time. He's hoping to get a trial for the Northen Counties side next season, and maybe a trial for the Scottish under 25's if he performs good enough to get noticed.

Meanwhile I only have 1 indoor Junior trophy to my name and a few runner up medals.......but it's all about the bar for me.

I won the club championship at Bellsburn a few years ago but packed in shortly there after as was playing 5 nights a week in various competitions and it was impacting on my football watching and drinking.

Played for 6 years now, last year being my best outwith the club. Got selected for the Ayrshire U25 team and got beat in the district final of the Scottish Under 25's at Seafield.
