Should be a good game against a far superior outfit on Saturday wink.gif

Interesting read on their message board saying 'if we can match them physically' they obviously haven't seen us playing recently.. physical is something we aint ! Gutted we're missing the loan players (Lumsden, Canning - who's injured anyway and the superb McCluskey) and with Harris out - we'll be a weaker outfit... but with Bobby Barr and Marc Pollock on the pitch anything can happen up front for us.

I'd take a draw at our place and watch the silky Rovers at Hampden in a few weeks.

hope to be signing our one and only song on Sat to wind up the easily wound Queens of Glesga smile.gif

Glad Canning isn't playing - the sight of a great Queen's man like him in a Dirty Rovers shirt would be hard to take.
As for not being physical anymore - we've heard that one for years. I think the average Coatbridge tinker's idea of being physical is a bit different from that of the Queen's Park gentlemen.

Well obviously we haven't..different divisions and all that. Don't worry though, I'm sure Gardner and the players will know what we'll be facing and most supporters know that you're a team now that likes to get the ball down and play football. Thought this would be the case with Paul Martin in charge, when he was caretaker coach of us he liked to play decent stuff.

Expect this to be an extremely hard match and would be happy to take it back to Hampden.

Oh aye, I hear Big Hendrie will be there on Saturday. f**k me, they're all coming out for this one! He also keeps telling me I should go to one of your gigs. He says he'll get me on the guest list and guarantee me some of your rider. cool.gif

More confident after our performance against Alloa, play like we did in the first half there and we should win. Wouldn’t change our team from last Saturday, not one player had a bad game. Would take a draw and fancy us to finish it off at Hampden, our record isn’t the best at Cliftonhill, I blame the pitch for that, a real leveller! wink.gif

Looking forward to the friendly banter, hopefully we’ll have good numbers through with it being the cup and not far to travel.

Looking forward to this despite our squad being a good deal weaker than last week. I suppose we can console ourselves with the fact that we're not expected to win, although I do note the QP guys seem to fancy a draw, so maybe we're in with a shout.

It's been 18 months since I last watched queens Park but I assume they're still a team who put the emphasis on passing the ball. We have a similar outlook under Paul Martin but I do worry that a heavy pitch will negate both our styles and it might not be the open attacking match we'd all like. Let's hope the rain stays off between now and kick-off.

Like others above I'd also settle for a draw and we can settle it on a decent pitch. The wide open expanses of Hampden would certainly suit us, as this is not only one of the most skillful Rovers sides we've had for a while, but one of the fittest too.

Looking forward to this game, even moreso after the win on Saturday.

As long as there's no injuries, there's no need to change the team, as the guys who played on Saturday are more than capable of winning this one.

Mon the Queen's! biggrin.gif

cant wait, should be good since the last time i watched us play queens park it was a 5 - 0 humping at hampden shouldnt happen this timew tho as we have a far better team than the team from 2 seasons ago, we fell at this hurdle last year. after a 8 - 0 demolition of burntisland shipyard in the second round, shire managed to put 5 past us with us only replying with 1 of our own, they went on to get humpd off rangers at ibrox and have a great day out while we went out the cup, once again we do have a far better team tho.

should be a great game till we start hearing this pitch is crap or ther is a conspiricy and the refs are against us, and we were cheated and dirty rovers halfed us to pieces and i hate coatbridge and these cheatin wegie wannabees honestly the list is getting bigger and never ending, with every excuse under the book.

not expected to win this game which always suits the rovers no pressure on us from papers, other teams watching or of course from the fans

MON ROVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

good to see you Convenor. obviously I wont mention the dick turpin raid on old Cliftonhill today ( yesterday) . Nor the fact we completely out played the utter malicious Queens players in every fucking position known to man except the keeper - which you previously told me might be 'dodgy' and the ref which obviously is sleeping in a Glasgow bed tonight. smile.gif
