I bought a new Logitech Chillstream joypad for the PS3, and had no intentions of using it for the laptop. However, I have tried using it for the laptop, but most buttons don't seem to work. For example, whilst playing Grand Theft Auto, I could run using the analog things, but I couldn't punch, steal cars, etc. The same happened when I played Rayman - only some buttons would work.

Any idea why this happens? Do I need a different pad for the laptop or are there any ways around this? It's really really annoying me.

Thanks. wink.gif

Did you just plug it in or have you installed any software/drivers?

Obviously, it lied wink.gif Try having a look around for some drivers - the logitech site would be my first stop.

I found this on the logitech site:

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/441/292&...l=gb,en?osid=13

It says no software or that is needed, just a USB port.

Thanks for the help though. wink.gif

The only other thing I can think of is to try manually mapping the buttons within each game

I'd have thought that there'd be some way of mapping the buttons in-game. Certainly the case for Joysticks I have bought in the past - Try looking through the in-game options.

You're talking to a completely useless computer user here. laugh.gif

How does one go about such a process? laugh.gif

Actually, I've just had a look at the configuration on the Grand Theft Auto game and some features were turned "off". When I turned them on the pad works fine.
