Full Version: What Sport Do You Win Most From?

Football is my main sport that I gamble on, and sometimes it can be a bit hit or miss. But, I do tend to back outsiders a lot who are on a run of form or odds that are too good to turn down.

Seems the game that I'm picking up the most of my wins right now is Golf, which is strange as basically anyone from 60players can win a tournament. The 3 Ball betting on the first two rounds is usually quite good to get a return as there is usually a rookie or underdog who's playing well but because he's been paired with Monty and some other past champ, he'll be the outsider.

At the moment, I'm not making money off anything, but like you, football and golf are most profitable for me.
Darts is probably least profitable for me, I play and watch a lot but just can't master betting on it.

Im shit at betting on anything. Get the occasional win on the football. Also bet on Horses and the NFL smile.gif

I only really bet on football but I'm considering leaving the Championship and downwards alone altogether, even a lot of the EPL has been a nightmare this season. May take the odd single in the SFL if there is an Albion 13/8 type scenario and just concentrate on the Bundesliga and Serie A as I seem to have a much better strike rate there.

It should be football and it used to be football but this season has been a disaster.
Poker is my most profitable form of gambling by far.

Definately golf, picked two major winners this year and had 7 places in the events also.

It is incredibly easy to pick winners on the European Tour if you have a knowledge of the course their playing, how they are playing and weather or not conditions will suit.

Im not to bad at horse racing either but i tend to be better in the bookies rather than on the internet because when you online you go on far to many websites and don't make your own choices.

Football this season has been a complete no starter, anythime I pick a certainty they lose, £1000 on Aalborg tonight anyone................

Football for me, it's the only thing I really understand enough to make informed decisions on who to bet. I dabble with the horses now and again but normally minimal amounts on odds-on favourites, obviously not with a view to making my millions, more just for the sake of it.

Those being the only two sports I bet on, football would be the one I win most on.

1. Baseball
2. Football
3. Basketball
4. Tennis
5. Cricket

Although football will probably move to the top of my money-making league this season as I've increased my stakes on it quite considerably lately.

'Win' is a bit far but I only ever bet on football as it is the only sport I really trust my judgement on. This season I have decided to abandon putting on my usual shite trebles at the weekend and have started sticking to singles. It's served me well so far and has actually left me in about 25% profit for the season overall.

Football. I'm not a big gambler (£5 a week) but I got a nice profit of about £250 last season. Think I'm around £15 up this season, It's not been going well so far.

I've only ever bet on two horses in my life and I only did it because I got a tip. They both came in.

Similar to me. I only bet on football. Crap at picking horses and have never really looked at betting on other sports although I reckon I could do alright on basketball and baseball if I watched a little more Nasn. I have picked up a bit of knowledge for the two sports but not enough to put decent sums on.

Anyway on the point of Serie A and Bundesliga (And La Liga for me) I have done pretty well with my recent tips although I put them on accy's with other teams I am not so confident about. Over the last few weeks if I had the money to put big bets on I could have made a fair whack as I have spotted a lot of great value. It also helps by watching and listening to Revista and other European highlights for information about form, injuries etc. Anyway from now on I think I am going to mix my British based bets with those I fancy from abroad.

Seeing as i only bet on football and the odd flutter on the gg's it would have to be the fitba.

How much do you usually stick on a single? Do you usually do a dead cert i.e Chelsea at home to WBA and stick £20 on it? I'm winning f*ck all with trebles at the moment sad.gif

£100 or £200 usually.

Rugby Union for me. The Heineken Cup is a doddle to bet on. I'm not a huge gambler though so my wins aren't massive but if I had the money and the balls i'm sure I could make a tidy sum from it.

I would say being any amount up over a period of time is going well. Very hard game to make profit from the old gambling

Not if you are disciplined and make informed choices it isn't.

Throwing money away on multi-team accas is a sure fire way of failing to make profit.
Diamonds are Forever
Football and Tennis, safe to say that if I stick to them I profit, in the past it is mainly horses that have stopped me profiting from gambling, although I've now completely stopped betting on them.

Don't bet on Tennis that often but occasionally I'll have a strong feeling that a player will win, Davydenko to beat Murray in the Masters Cup, or Murray to beat Nadal in the US Open for example. This is with having a limited knowledge of the sport, if I followed it more I think it would be easy to make a load of cash off it, especially now that we have bet in play.

Football is starting to be more profitable for me these days, not because I am able to pick more teams who I think will win, but mainly because I am learning what the best way to bet on them is. No stupid accumulators or anything like that.

I remember the days when we both put used to put on £5 trebles and think we were big spenders. About 4 years ago I had £13 worth of coupons on and you, me, and a few other people who we discussed it with all agreed that this was madness and that £13 was far too much to be betting laugh.gif

My cousin bets on rugby and cricket. Seems to do well "just won over 13 thousand this year" he finds it pretty straight forward.

I may take his advice and start doing this also.

But in saying that he has the experience of knowing when to bet.

No offence but your grasp of basic gambling appears to be shite at best. The fact your cousin has won "just over £13,000" this year suggests to me he knows what he's doing. If I was you I wouldn't be doing anything other than small stakes on football until I had a better idea what I was doing.

Not having a pop, just a suggestion.

No bother dude. I suppose it would be easy to see someone throw large quantities of money at it and getting huge returns and think "I could do that". FWIW, I think keeping the bets small is the right course for you.
