What a great series of games.
Its still got all the appeal of the before titles, but with smoother gameplay and better graphics. The 'jobs' on it are a good touch to.
Although it looks like it may be a bit short.

Nothing will ever beat NFS: Most Wanted for PS2. I absolutely fucking adored that game.

Yes has free roam. And yes a storyline, i.e you being Undercover.
I used to be a fan of NFS but that was about 10 years ago. I got the second last release (not Most Wanted, the one before it) and found the graphics to be nice but the game play let it down a little.
The two racing games I have on my PC are:
GTR Evolution and Race Driver Grid, both excellent.

I hate all racing games that aren't Mario Kart

Is it as good as Underground 2 and most wanted

Underground and Underground 2 were good, since then they have gone steadily downhill, another average NFS, Midnight Club is better.

Bought it today from Game with the in-store voucher I got for Xmas. Really good so far. Basically went back to the Most Wanted gameplay, which is no bad thing!

Pro Street was absolute gash, that is why I am reluctant to buy this latest installment.

I exchanged it, I never even thought I might be able to actually return it
I... erm... "bought" this overnight last night.
Playing it on the laptop, which is shoddy as feck, so damages the feel of the game somewhat, with most settings turned all the way to "Low".
It looks like its a decent enough game though. One little question though... when I crash into stuff and it flashes up a wee amount of money, in red, is that taken from me, or given to me...?

Neither. It adds to your 'heat' so when the cops see you, the more 'heat' you've gained, the more aggressive the police will be.

Yeh, I did realise that not long after I posted, but thanks anyway.
It's a very good game though, I'm enjoying barrelling around the wee countryside motorways. Just hunted down that Hector bloke...
