Full Version: Decisions Evening Theirselves Out!
The Pie Shop > SPL and SFL Football > Rangers v Celtic, Celtic v Rangers

We keep hearing that decisions even themselves out over a season. Yet another one going for Celtic yesterday whilst being outplayed by a bottom 6 club adds another to the tally to be evened out!! I for one don't want to see this evening out happen! Well let's face it, it wouldn't be worth my season ticket money without OF games when the sweepers are in Div1!!!!

im not surprised you enjoyed mr collums display, you probably enjoy the refs displays every week. can you think of a decision which has went against the sweepers all season?? or the latter half of last season for that matter?? can't blame the refs tho, if i thought my head would get smashed with a coin, my windows would get smashed, i would have a PI following me or get death threats then I would give them everything as well to keep the animals amongst their support happy

Yes , I'm so ashamed , 3 in a row , 11 wins in a trot, I only wish I was a Rangers fan, getting legitimately fucked every season without help , You keep your losers dignity and I'll just have to put up with being helped towards 4 in a row.......oh the shame of it rolleyes.gif

Let's see, I presume you're referring to the following decisions:

Diamond's disallowed goal (that was the same game as Samaras' disallowed goal, right?).
Samaras goal from a dodgy corner we received (that was the same game Well also got a dodgy
corner, right?).
McDonald's goal against your mob (that was the same game where Broadfoot should've been sent off, right?)

Have I missed any? biggrin.gif

Yes, Nakamura's dodgy free-kick decision at St Mirren.

Venegoor of Hesselink escaping a red-card in the OF game, and then scoring. Which would mean your side wouldn't have got 3 points, and would have went a long way to deciding the title.

It's good to be back. biggrin.gif

Was that St Mirren game not in November, I can't really remember.

I also believe a certain Mr Thomson should've been sent off in a previous match. smile.gif

A certain Mr Thomson didn't have an effect on the game after then though. The point I was getting at was that Hesselink wouldn't have been there to score later on. Thomson was carried off on a stretcher for the thing that "he should have been booked for" I still believe had he not been carried off, the ref would have sent him off.

The bottom line is that Celtic will recieve decisions in the early part of the season so that there is a body of 'evidence' with which to refute the institutionalised bias which always comes at the sharp end of the season.

Last year we had them extending the season and the antics of McCurry - and any complaints from Celtic fans (certainly on here) were unanimously met with howls of derision and deranged babble about a Nakamura free kick several months previous.

Funny enough I think McCurry went too far and actually ended up costing "ra bears" the title. Obviously with the eyes of the world then drawn to proceedings, they had to reign themselves in a bit and just hope that their heroes could make the most of the extension.

If these things even themselves out, I look forward to 132 years of getting absolutely every decision against the old firm biggrin.gif

Approaching genius. You just forgot the insinuation as to why Martin O'Neil didn't win every league campaign on his shift.

I have been suspecting as much for a while. I have to laugh at the 'real Celtic' supporters who fall over themselves to back him up.

I'm sure everyone remembers the Andy Davis incident, Bazza's three penalites in one match v. Dundee etc. etc.

Slightly further back there was Farrygate.

Yet most people still believe it to be an 'old firm' issue, because of one or two minor red herrings against the likes of Hamilton Accies (no disprespect intended).

For a couple of years now I've been accused of being everyone from Peter Grant to Bhoys67. Doesn't make it true though.

I was born in Scotland and, barring a 1 year stint down in England when I was 2, the longest I've been out the country is 15 days when we went to Florida on holiday. I'm also a student studying Biomedicine, so no need for a giro either.

Jog on. smile.gif

Rangers being down to 10 men would have affected the game. And how exactly did the ref know Jan was going to score a winner?
