Full Version: Shite Players In The Premiership

Although I think the Premiership is vastly over-rated, it never ceases to amaze me how some players can get a game every week for some teams in this League.

For example

Chimbonda. One of the worst players I have ever seen, he always seems to be giving the ball away or fouling people. How anyone would be comfortable with him at right back is beyond me.

McShane. What the f**k is this guy all about? He plays like he is dancing on the spot and is always all over the place, headless chicken. A total liability yet seems to play every week.

Ameobi. What the f**k? Has this guy ever had a good game?

And so on.
PtB
Titus Bramble is another, he seems to make a big mistake every other week and still a first pick.

I'd also like to add the boy Gomes at Spurs to the list. Horrible, horrible goalkeeper.

Good shout, can you believe what they paid for him and let Robinson go for???

DomDom
I can believe what they paid for him. He was terrific with PSV. Shame that it's not turned out well with Spurs.

I always go with Bendtner in a thread like this.
vlad is the man
Emanuel Eboue.

But the obvious one is Gomes. I just can't believe he is a 'keeper. Just can't believe it. And for £8.8m. Bloody hell. Think Chelsea had him lined up as their second to Cech.

I would rather have Gomes from the Addams Family in goals.
buddie06smfc
In all honesty Rory Delap.
He has no footballing ability at all.
All he does is throw the ball.

I agree with Eboue he is terrible.

I would go with Bendtner too, he is awful. A big lumbering idiot of a player

Would agree but can see why Wenger sticks with him as everytime i see him play for Denmark he looks nothing short of class.

Nice and comprehensive.
Shengus Khan
John O'Shea. I genuinally believe that I could do a better job than what he does. He's versatile alright. He's fucking useless in many a position.

Pretty sure he's on loan at Cardiff. Signed for Villa in January and still hasn't reached double figures in appearances.

Kevin Kilbane is a great shout though and to think he's got 80/90 caps for Ireland as well laugh.gif.
bairnagain
I don't know if he is shite or not, but Jo looks to be on his way out at Citeh already. Always found that a rather strange transter for the amount of money involved.

Djimi Traore.
goodevening
David Bentley.. based on recent form.

A guy who is no longer in the Premiership, but utter shite.

Ronnie Wallwork

How shite like this made it to the Premier League, I've no idea.

Kenwyn Jones is garbage - have to agree with the earlier poster.

Who was it last season who claimed Sunderland would get more back for him than they paid? laugh.gif

At one point tabloids would have you believe all of the 'big 4' were interested in him to the tune of £40 million, for what it's worth I think he is ok as a target man but very overrated, can't remember anything of him for Southampton other than going in goal once.

I'd disagree with that.

Fair enough Lucas does seem pretty awful but at least he can play football a little bit.

To be fair he's been brutal all season it was just more apparent yesterday because Lennon had more pace than anyone else he's come up against so far.

Speaking of whom, If Aaron Lennon didn't have pace he'd be nowhere near the English Premier League.

'Spurs fan I know; 'he's a legend, he just needs to learn how to cross and shoot'. He's a fucking winger!

Another shite player and what the f**k are his gay windmill arms all about?

James Milner. Why do people rate him? He's like Shaun Maloney, just overdoes it the point where you want to stab his eyes out.

Who does rate him though?

Apart from Martin O'Neill obvisouly laugh.gif

Is he the worst ever 10 million pound player? I think he might be...
DomDom
I'd agree with with that entire squad that DJP posted apart from Ben Haim, who I think is at least a decent defender, if not amazing or anything.
Mr. Brightside
John Obi Mikel

I believe it was even more than that. But the good news is that people are beginning to see the light.

Speaking of which, I believe Newcastle spent 17 million on Damien Duff, who has scored a whopping two (count 'em) goals apparently.

Yes, I think it is now being realised he is total pish.

It is a sad indictment of football today when his signing for 12 million was it(?) raised relatively few eyebrows.
dubs
I don't think Newcastle paid that much for Duff, Chelsea maybe but not Newcastle?

He's been shite anyway, agreed. But then they know a lot about how to spend ludicrous sums on no hopers.

Also I don't agree with the criticism that John Obi Mikel gets. He doesn't pretend to be anything other than a player who sits in front of the defence and sprays passes around all day, doing very little else. He can't be THAT bad if he plays every week for Chelsea, can he?

I'm not saying he's the new Makelele, he can't really tackle, but I don't think they look to him to do that.

I stand corrected. It was Chelsea. Whatever Newcastle paid, it was too much.
chris123
John Terry.

Don't think he's shyt so to speak, but criminally overated. Carvalho is the far superior of the two, sure someone told me that every game Chelsea lost last season, John Terry played.
calum_gers
Agree with every name mentioned pretty much. Exceptiong being Nicky Butt think he's pretty good. Certainly was at his peak anyway.

Also he's not there anymore but Senderos,
Hibburt at Everton is appalling.
