Lochgelly Albert 1 Penicuik Athletic 3
The Albert team showed a number of changes following Stevie Kirk's departure but got off to a terrible start when Penicuik opened the scoring after only 2 mins through Cameron. The Albert fought back and levelled on 31 mins when Colin Jeffrey curled a shot high into the net. Just on half time and Jeffrey is put through again by Stevie Brown only to shoot high over.
A minute into the 2nd half and Lochgelly should have gone ahead but Stevie Brown shot just past after being clean through. Penicuik went back in front in 50 mins when a 25 yard shot went under Albert keeper Colin Rushford.
Then in 56 mins a Penicuik striker was through and tried to knock the round Colin Rushford who got a hand to the ball and the striker fell over him but you've guessed it, a fuckin penalty!!! A shocking decision but its 1-3.
Penicuik had a goal disallowed for offside late on and Nicky Mitchell hit the inside of the post for the Berts but it finished 1-3. A better performance from the Berts than in recent weeks.
