Poor game, and not helped by another poor refereeing display.

Lister took his goal well though for the winner. Who scored our equaliser though burnie-man?

Excellent programme as well.

McGrillen scored your equaliser. Lister did indeed take the goal well, although I thought we more than deserved to take the game to penalties. The referee was shocking, the penalty award in the first half was a joke, and some of his decisions for both sides were baffling at times.

Thanks for the compliment but you need to tell your fans to buy programmes! one of our poorest sales days this season, I'm told we sold 5 or 6 to non-regulars despite there being a healthy Thistle following, bunch of tight arses rolleyes.gif

Dalry 1-1 Glenafton

Dalry won 5-3 on penalties thumbup2.gif

Glens may feel hard done by but they created very few chances against a Dalry side who fired into every tackle. Referee Dallas Jr. wasn't popular but was overfussy more than anything.
The big turning point was sending off of Glens scorer McMullen who also looked their best player. His second booking was fair enough but his first was bizarre. After a crunching 50/50 with the ball going for a Dalry goal kick, McMullen trotted off with the loose ball towards the corner flag and was booked for his troubles. Soft to say the least.

As often happens. there never looked like two divisions between these two sides.

Haddington 4 Stoneyburn 1.

Haddington 4-0 up and well worth the win overall, but Stonetburn had 2 disallowed for who knows what.....

Have to say It was one of the worst referree performances I will ever see and I've seen some bad ones. sad.gif

Think there were 9 bookings and 1 sending off and hardly a bad tackle in the game, some of his decisions had us baffled.

Thouhgt the Haddington striker was excellent all game but some suicide defending early in the game gave the visitors no chance....

Great wee set up that Haddington have and an excellent match day programme rolleyes.gif

One was disallowed for an arguable offside. The second wasn't disallowed because the ref had *already* blown for an infringement.

No way - the tackles weren't particularly malicious but players were diving in from all angles. The ref could have got the cards out earlier and more often.

Bo'ness 1-3 Bonnyrigg

It was quite hard to be sure, but I thought Bo'ness looked better today than they have for a few weeks, suggesting this could have been a corker of a game. Unfortunately the referee completely ruined the game, sending off a Bonnyrigg player (no.3 I think) after about five minutes for what was presumably some sort of dissent. After roughly half an hour Mitchell was sent off for Bo'ness, booked twice in ten seconds for dissent after having been fouled (not given) on the edge of the box. Five minutes later Muir put in a fine tackle in the middle of the park, was penalised and then given a straight red card for...yep, you've guessed it. Only nineteen men left on the park at half time and there hadn't been a bad tackle.

Caine was also sent off (straight red) for Bo'ness in stoppage time for a tackle I didn't really see, so I'll give the referee the benefit of the doubt. laugh.gif Interesting that it took him ninety-odd minutes to start protecting the players rather than his own thin skin. Having already issued the red cards mentioned above, on around the hour mark he failed to even talk to, far less book, a Bonnyrigg player who brutally upended a Bo'ness player as he charged in on goal.

I'd tell you about the goals but, y'know, the referee wanted the game to be all about him to I might as well tell it that way.

I know there's two sides to it, and that players should be more disciplined and respectful to officials. I can't abide stupid players, and Bo'ness should have had the benefit of learning from the Bonnyrigg left back's early mistake. But to my mind the referee's job should be more about protecting players than protecting his wee ears from naughty words said in the heat of the moment.

Still, on the bright side, any Auchinleck scouts who've been to Newtown Park the last couple of weekends won't have much of value to report back. "Well boss, I can tell you what they look like with nine men..."

I think he is the worst ref out there. He actually believes that people are there to watch him and not the game. Some of the decisions he comes away with are a joke. He has even offered people a square go at 2 different Rose games he has been in charge of. He is a fvcking idiot of the highest order.

Alot of the ref's in the juniors aren't the best and you know that they will be sh!te for both sides but Allen seems to go out to cause contraversy and try and make a name for himself!

I hope you are unfortunate enough to have him at more of your games as i hope to never see him again at any Rose game i go to.

I thought BF made the wrong decision taking Hoggy off. He won every tackle but his distribution was poor. Where Spade ran about all day doing fvck all and stayed on the park. Lithgae can play a bit better than that from what i have seen this season. We didn't bottle the penalties we are just shite at them and have been for years.

I've only been doing the Largs Thistle programme for 9 issues now but have found that when playing against clubs that issue programmes themselves there are better sales. Against Kilbirnie yesterday (who don't issue regularly though they are doing a one-off against Pollok I believe) the sales were relatively poor - despite a healthy (for Largs) attendance of 272. Yet the previous week against Renfrew (who've been issuing programmes for donkey's years) the programme sold out while the attendance was 149.

That certainly seems to be the case. Easily, the worst programme sales last season (as a programme/spectator ratio) were against Linlithgow Rose.

If the Kilbirnie supporters who were at the game yesterday are anything like Sconny who posts on here then they are more interested in feeding their lard arses with the mythical baked potatoes which Largs don't sell.

He may well have had baked potatoes at Barrfields at some point in the past. The menu changes all the time. Some times there is curry. Yesterday there was stovies. I said the person I spoke to (the main catering person) hadn't done baked potatoes and chilli. But sometimes he isn't there. And maybe the other person decided to do baked potatoes. They are both involved in catering as their occupation so they do vary things.

Without wanting to sound harsh Jordan is hated almost as much as Bo'ness and Bathgate by the Rose support with Stevie Allen in 4th place. I can't stand the wee ginger fvck. I think he also go a bleaching in training or was saved from a bleaching by coaches and players. I believe the police asked some of the Rose fans at last seasons game to calm down and stop shouting as much abuse at him. To sum things up he isn't muched liked through here.

If you bump into him ask him how his big move is comming along? biggrin.gif

Maybe Bellshillboy should take off the tinted glasses and ask himsel why fans of Ladeside, Rose and Meadow (and that's just on this forum) all have the same (low) opinion of Jordan. On previous form though I'm sure he'll find out for himself soon enough.

problem with most of the bigger supported clubs ie medda, pollok is that you r very quick 2 jump on players backs as soon as they make a mistake or things arnt going well. Perfect example is Zander Ryan, 1 of the reasons he left pollok was the constand stick he would get from his own support. All im saying is why are these guys so badly hated?? thats the question i asked you, Why is Jordan so badly hated?????????????? He is a player, He has played with 2 biggest junior sides, , Linlithgow, Medda, Played with Petershill and us, Scotland Caps and full time at Livingston, cnt b a bad player 2 have done all that.

Medda are in a crisis and we all no it. 1/2 Strain 2 b sacked 2nite
