Out of intrest can anybody tell me why Charlie King never seems to get a game? Anytime ive seen him play, he scores or sets up a goal.

yes.. but that doesnt give a reason, unless you think he was being serious about the whole "because we have a gazillion good players".

ohmy.gif .. any other reasons apart from the fact that you have a gazillion good players...?

Well if he doesn't get a game, and they have loads of good players. My first thought was that there are 11 players better than him, therefore he doesn't get a game. It's just a thought.

The thing is they do not have loads of good players( i wasnt the one who said this) hense why they are in the 2nd division.

I don't know the reason. Darren Smith is captain, so when he's fit he generally will take up the left wing position, one which King also plays.

Byers has also been superb this season down the right, so again, King doesn't get a game there.

I agree that whenever he gets a chance, he takes it well, but O'Neill is staying loyal to the players who are performing well week in, week out, and doesn't see the need to change it.

King's still getting plenty time on the pitch and is doing the business. I'm sure he's in O'Neill's plans still.

Charlie has been playing recently and playing well. He puts in a power of work when he's on and is a very popular player with the supporters. I think it is indeed his testimonial next season.

I agree, been to many a Brechin game this year, and when Chucky plays, he usually either sets up a goal, or scores himself

I feel a complaint should be made to the club about his lack of starts? laugh.gif smile.gif

Was it not because O'Neill said something about the midfield being 'too lightweight' when both Chucky and Smith are playing. Not exactly a lot of height between the two it has to be said.

Anyway, see below... biggrin.gif
