Full Version: Tain Vs Thurso This Saturday

TainThistleFC
Hi all,

Just a reminder to anyone who might fancy taking in a game in the area.

Pretty big game as far as Tain are concerned. Our sixth home game of nine so far this season, and a win over Thurso has to be considered a possibility, with only 6 points seperating the two sides, which would be a welcome 3 points right now.

We need your support!

1.30 kick off this weekend, so if anyone fancies a visit - take in a piece of history, sample a pie or a lorne sausage roll, and buy a programme biggrin.gif

Thanks,

Just out of interest, what sort of turnouts do you get in the North Caledonian League at the various clubs? Do any clubs look for a donation from those watching, or is it completely free?

Lets hope the result is a bit closer than the 13-0 defeat from 3 years ago!

Haha, different Tain team Haitch, you'll be thinking of St Duthus. I'd hate to have to eat my words but I would certainly hope we are a better side than getting beat 13-0 by Thurso tomorrow.

Last time we played them up at Sir Georges, it finished 4-1 to Thurso, but the wind helped them a great deal in the first half. It was hellish. We actually played well despite the scoreline.

In answer to cmontheloknow, the crowds we get vary from 20 to sometimes about 80/90. The way our park is situated, we get a lot of people parking their cars next to the ground to watch the game. I've seen anything up to about 20 cars parked at times.

Oh right lol

I used to live in Thurso and went to the High School there. Is the footy pitch up in the High Ormlie area do you know?
