Right lets get it started.

Whats the outcome of this one going to be.

My prediction.
2-0 Ayr

Really looking forward to this as due to work commitments only made a hand ful of games this season
utdtillidie
First away game of the season, so we'll probably lose, but with positive head on, 3-1 Ayr.

Think there will be a decent away support at the game, i predict between 300-400 for the first of 4 games at Hampden this season wink.gif .

You’ll probably make up half the crowd then. Our home attendances have been abysmal this season. Feel free to spend the rest of your money in our social club as well.

Not sure how this game is going to go. We’re usually hard to beat at Hampden but last week might have knocked our confidence a bit. Would like to see Gardner make a couple of changes in midfield and up front to freshen things up a bit – I see Harkins and Murray both scored for the reserves the other night. I’d put Harkins in for Holms and Murray up front with Coakley

10 of us coming up for the hospitality. we will try to spend a lot once the game is finished for you mate

Pedant's time, should the title not be Queen's v Ayr?

We'd appreciate your team being hospitable on the pitch if you don't mind. Ayr brought a good support down for the last game at Hampden last season, so hopefully you do the same. It's always better shutting up a team wi a decent support tongue.gif

Missed the game last week, but from the highlights the goals looked like soft ones to concede. Hopefully that was just a blip, 'cos as Convenor says, we've been hard to beat at Hampden. Agree about Harkins too, because unless he was injured, i don't see what he did to be dropped as Holms has been pretty anonymous when he's played.

I reckon this could be a cracking game.

Recent games between the sides have been pretty good. Both teams will try and attack and try and play football. If Ayr get off to one of our lightning starts, this could be the week where we manage to keep it going an score a shit load.

That said, three points would be gratefully received. We've won all our games against the bottom teams, so far, and hopefully that continues.
Paisley Plumber
Usually competitive matches between these two teams. Remember the game last season in February at Somerset, as being well worth the entrance fee, one of the few last season for Ayr fans. Also remember that daft boy Stevenson getting sent off at the death for reacting to a QP player's wind up ... bloody fool. He must not start on Saturday, the QP professional (sorry amateur) vultures will be gunning for him I'm certain. We need to put a team out that will finish the match, whether or not it includes Daft Boy and/or 'El Capitan' is another matter. I'd start Weaver in the central mid role and sod that pair of premadonas, getting well pissed off with the pair of them mad.gif

£2.

Looking forward to this since I wasn't there last week, hope losing 4 goals hasn't knocked our confidence too much.

1-0 Queen's.

Great value. Does the guy from the shop still walk around the stand handing out iron bru bars, or is that a thing of the past?

I can see some wild chanting of Ricky Little's name for 90 minutes

No-that is definetly a thing of the past.

As for the match-Ayr are a good team and will give us a very, very tough test, but after last week I hope the team's morale isn't too low. I would like to see Harkins and Mcgrogan from the start this week-they can definetly make a difference for us in this one.

1-1, Coakley getting anotherfor Queen's.

Now that is an attractive price for the neutral. Tempting indeed. Which sections are actually open for possible reference? smile.gif

Queens will win 3-0. Adam Coakley scoring 5.

Will be a difficult game, and we will need to improve vastly from last week to get anything. Ayr are a good side, and they gave us a bit of a lesson in the first half down at Somerset, but even so we almost salvaged a draw from that game.

We've been hard to beat at Hampden this season, and already drawn 6 league games. I fancy this to be a 7th. Queen's 1 - 1 Ayr.

Heavens...... are you no aware that Ryan Stevenson wis a prima-donner for Chelsea long before he realised that he was good enough for Ayr and moved tae the seaside.

Some people are so ungrateful.

We hope you guys play him from the start, a guaranteed red card ohmy.gif)

Now as every Ayr fan so far has been so sure of a win, that guarantees us a win.

Queen's to win 2-0.
Naught A Chance
Queens to win 1-0 with Anthony Mcgrogan scoring in the last minute with a nutmeg through good friend Stephen Grindlays legs, you heard it here first ph34r.gif

Fuckin embarrassing. Only the second time I've ever left a game early. Everyone knows Ayr are a superior side, but Queens gave up. Too many passengers in the team today not willing to stick a boot in. Inept in every single area. Men against women rather than men against boys. Obviously our team doesn't have the ability of previous years but there is absoultely no excuse for lack of effort shown today. Hope Spiers tears the walls off that dressing room.
Zanetti
We were very poor today. The only positive I can think of is that Watt looked decent when he came on, but apart from that it really wasn't good.

Ayr fans - you never got round to singing us that song, which was a bit disappointing.
The Arch
Can't say I really enjoyed that because of my hangover, and the immense cold. I've never been to a Queens Park game, when it's not been freezing.

Thought Borris and Prunty had really good games. Prunty's lob was a really nice finish. From a Thistle perspective, the performances of Cairney and Little weren't great. Cairney's a bit of a sanddancer, by the looks of things, but he does have quick feet.

Queens were really toothless, and I'm not surprised they're struggling to score. Ayr on the other hand were very proffessional, and should be there or thereabouts I'd imagine.

Sat in the Ayr end, and perhaps the worst looking couple I've ever seen, sat next to us. The big guy in the yellow top seemed to think Ayr were in the stripes at the start of the game, and was cheering their attacks. The hillbilley will have a sore head in the morning.

Also, was Stevie Nicholas the number 11 for QP? I thought I'd seen that particular passenger before. Coakley certainly lived upto the hype as well.

He was originally in the home end, and didn't seem to happy when he shifted. laugh.gif
Spiders For Life
That was atrocious.

We were dreadful, three-nil, with the nil flattering us, can’t recall a shot on target. We’ve only scored eleven goals in fourteen league games, and shipped seven in our last two, things will need to change fast.

Was too easy for Ayr, soft first goal to give away, similar to the first we lost up at Peterhead. The lad had what seemed like an age to finally put the second away, and DC probably shouldn’t of come out for the third. Could’ve been more, wasn’t really much of a contest which was more down to our lack of quality than Ayr being good.

Anyone know why Harkins is totally out the team? He’s looked good, and can pass the ball about well. Same with McGrogan? He’s made an impact in his sub appearances but not in the sixteen today. Has the QP number 11 signed on? Or was he on trial? Didn’t look like he’ll improve us much, but I guess time will tell.

Would go with a 4-1-4-1 system at Alloa, get Harkins and McGrogan in there, and play Watt up top with the midfield supporting him. Must get a positive result next week.
bridgeofweirdo
Cant believe what a toothless performance from Queen's today-----3rd division looms unless we can get tactics sorted. We seem to approach each game as though we are going to get humped and the long hopeful ball up the park seems to be our only attacking move. I dont mind getting beaten by the better team as long as we put in the effort but that was not on show today with perhaps the worst performance in recent times.
Spidersmad
Queen's had plenty of possession in the first half but could do nothing with it. Not a shot on target in the whole game. The second half was abysmal. Gardner Speirs was a forlorn figure as he stood alone at the edge of the technical area watching his tactics, selection and substitutions turn to shit.
farflung lichtie
Some of the Queens fans reaction was exactly the same as our 3 weeks ago when we succumbed 0-3 at home to Ayr. Maybe they're a better team, away, than given credit for?

3-0 going on 6 today and I don't think our keeper had any saves of note to make.

Good support up from Ayr today as well.

In no way is it intended to be racist as it refers to Killie fans being black as in dirty/unclean.

Just in these days of political correctness where you can't call a blackboard, a blackboard, some folk could assume it to be racist but its definately not.
