I don't think it has too much to do with budget - more having someone with the time and dedication to do it.
I know that I spend a ridiculous amount of time putting Largs Thistle's programme together considering the sales. The physical "putting together" of a programme after all the reading material was gathered surprised me with the length of time it took.

Add Forfar West End and West Calder to the yes column
Jambo'ness
Add Bo'ness to the 'no' column.
And add Musselburgh to the 'yes' column, or at least sometimes.

Totally agree with theesel1994 about the problem being time. I used to do a Hearts fanzine and it took loads of time even with a long gap between issues.

Anyone with a full-time job and a family would find it incredibly difficult to churn one out on a regular basis.
Harry Biggerstaff
St Andrews Utd have had a programme the last few years, according to their website it's won a few awards

Usually a decent programme anytime I've seen it

This season I found the art of delegation biggrin.gif What took approx 12-15 hours is now only taking 3 or so. One guy looks after the tables/results, another deals with pen-pics, and we have 'occasional' contributors. My job has become more that of editor than an author/researcher so I'm able to organise the thing a wee bit better.

Where can the results of these awards be found (on the net if possible)?
The Wirral Programme Club used to do the awards and the results were published each year in the Non League Club Directory - but they stopped doing the awards a few years ago. I think the magazine Programme Monthly may have started doing awards to take their place but have never saw their results anywhere. Probably just restricted it to their own magazine.
Glenrothes
You can move Glenrothes to the No list! Since I resigned from the committee on Saturday I will no longer do the programme. Don't know if they will get anybody else to do it considering the time and knowledge required!

Programme Monthly started doing the English Non League awards after the Wirral one stopped they don't have a Scottish one although I suppose if folk suggested it to the editor I suppose he may start one.
They have a web site which has details of all the awards etc that they do.

I'm hoping at some point to maybe starting to do the odd programme for Lochgelly Albert.

You can add Thornton Hibs to the list of the clubs that produce programmes and from what i've been to this season then Lochore Welfare, Ballingry Rovers, Kirkcaldy YM, and Camelon dont issue.

I'm pretty much certain you can add Hill of Beath to the No's. The last time i was there at the end of last season for the Kelty v Thornton final i asked if there was programmes. Guy at the gate said that it would be up to the clubs concerned to produce as "we certainly dont do them".

No programmes at Harthill Royal.

Arbroath Vics issued last season, not sure if they are still issuing. Apart from that, the North Division is near to a programme desert, though Montrose Roselea's relegation has caused an oasis. I got one at Broughty in 2007, but not sure if they are issuing now.

Steelend Vics, Oakley United, Newburgh and Bankfoot Athletic are non-issuers. Rosyth did issue a couple of seasons back but as far as I know don't issue now. Crossgates Primrose were another to issue in the recent past but have now ceased. Not sure about Jeanfield Swifts, although I don't think they issued last season.

Think Rosyth stopped issuing towards the end of last season Rob, shame as it was a fair effort.

Looking forward to getting one on Saturday at Blackburn.Probably wont need to buy a paper all week there will be so much reading in it from what i gather.Names of players and adverts in it as well? Too much to take in at the match. Will save this great read till i get home.
Oh wait a minute i am going away this weekend. Could someone please save me a programme or does anyone know if you can buy them online?

A little tip for any Committee Members out there. I do the programme for one of the clubs listed and it actually makes a lot of MONEY on the Sponsorship side in our case circa £2,000 per season through adverts and player sponsors. It takes a bit of effort to set up but once up and running a couple of hours work per week for 2 people. by using technology and a printer. We only charge 50p for it and know a few clubs who give them out free. It took a while for a couple of our committee members to work out that the profit was from adverts and not based on the 6 or so we sell per week!
Penicuiks is one of the best I have seen and is a top quality production.

Add Blairgowrie and Arbroath Vics to the Yes column.

Both issue the programmes free on entry. Blair a single sheet folded and Vics is about 20 pages.
