I have a feeling this could be a good game smile.gif
McIntyre played tonight in a reserve game so at least there is some sort of competition now...and obviously Griffiths being injured should help laugh.gif

Pffff. Dunfermline were bloody awful on Saturday. They should have had Dundee finished off at half time, there's a reason they didn't.

Bad time to be playing each other, I would have liked Livi to be playing someone else other than ourselves or QoS and try and get some points back against St Johnstone.

3 points for Livi this weekend. You should feel very confident going into this one trust me.

I'm still reeling from the performance at the weekend.

If we are spawny enough to be in contention come January we must get in a central midfielder and a left wing who can play a decent game and stay fit for more than 4 weeks at a time.

I think Dunfermline need to create good chances for the forwards. It seems on Saturday, they were limited to shots from distance, leaving Douglas with only one save to make during the match aswell as coming for crosses.

No cutting edge.

2-1 Livi.

We're not scoring either, might be a draw or one of us sneak a win, if we win it'll prob be 1-0, defence has been good so i'm hoping some chunt can score, Elliot maybe.

That would be unusual then. It seems to be that pretty much every time we play Livingston away, the game is absolutely terrible. It's strange how it goes like that because games at East End have often been quite exciting, but all bar about 2 of the games I've seen there have been pretty awful. There was a spell around the time we played there in the Scottish Cup when every game seemed to be 1-1, with each one being just as dreadful as the one before. The new year game was OK I suppose, livened up somewhat by David Somers having an absolute shocker, but the only other game I can remember thinking was decent there was the first one I went to, when Owen Coyle scored an absolute peach of a header with 5 minutes to go for a 1-0 win, in the first division in 1999. For this reason, away games against Livingston are games I really can't get too enthused about - sadly it's no different this time.

We don't need another centre mid. Bell and Holmes now starting to get fit. we need other options beside Glass and Phinn, yes, but within the squad we have already. We need to give those that Mcintyre has already signed a chance to proove themselves. yes, we could do with a left winger, definitely but it's also important to get a striker in to push Bayne a Kirk because i think Mcintyre only sees himself as an emergency option. also a central defender as cover cos we're relying to much on people playing out of position to cover injuries and suspensions in that area.

as for the Livi game, i have no idea how this'll go, i missed the first game and have no idea how Livingston play to judge what threat they'll pose us. again though, points from this could be important to stop us falling into a slump.

Can't see anything other than a draw for this one. sad.gif The games at Livi are always terrible for some reason. Griffiths out injured is a bonus certainly as he looked excellent at EEP earlier in the season. Hopefully we'll have Bell or Holmes fit for the game to freshen things up in the midfield.

Surely you enjoyed the 1-1 draw when Kachloul came on and scored with his first touch of the ball, from a free kick. wink.gif

edit* if Sparky was playing i'd be confident of a win, without him we're pretty average.
Livi
2-1 Pars.

We're going backwards not forwards sad.gif

A squad thats got no depth either.
da_no_1
have to say glad griffiths looks like he's out - he scored a belter at EEP last time out.
pawpar
would like to think we could win this, but considering the majority of pars fans would rather have us in the 1st division standing then getting promoted to the SPL (see dafc.net for this shower of fuckwits) then as far as I can see all hope is lost for this fixture. death.gif
Grant228
Eh?
People on .net are saying that while in the first division they would like the choice to stand..Find me the bit where it says we would rather stay in the first?
DAFC
The first division is more entertaining than the spl but clubs can't afford to stay in this 'inferior' league, bit of a paradox when you think about it.

"come on let's get to the promised land"

"this is shite"
gingapar
seems to be a lack of interest in this one. Hopefully our good away form will continue and hopefully andy Kirk can get back amongst the goals.
Parscelona
I think standing would be a bad idea as i don't think the club could afford it. If they could i think that the money should be used for better purposes such as bringing in new players to help us move forward or it could go towards the youth system.

Onto today's game and we seem to perform good away but poor at home, Livi and Dunfermline games are normally close encounters so i'm going for a 1-1 draw.
tottipar
Hopefully a good performance and i fancy a 2-1 away win. mon ye pars !!!!!!!!

1 all half time, good to see Andy Kirk back amongst the goals. seems to be quite a strong wind too that we'll have at our back for second half, hopefully go on and pinch second place.

mon the clyde!
