Just been browsing on the SFA website, looking for the youth cup draw which wasn't there, and noticed that our own loan keeper has been called into the under 21 squad for next weeks friendly v Northern Ireland which will be shown live on Sky Sports.

He's terrible - surely there are better young Scottish keepers out there ?

Aye we were linked with him before you'se got him on loan and at that time i heard he was quite good but when we played you'se he did look a bit dodgy on a couple of occasions

I caught him a few times on Bluenose Telly (free on Virgin TV honest!) last season when watching their review of the U19s. He seemed to sell a goal a game, including a few embarrassing ones from distance. There are better keepers playing Junior football. In fact, if Gallacher is still playing football at 25, I predict it will be at Junior level.

If Gallacher wasn't playing for Rangers, he would not be near any international squad. Davie Hay must be thinking what the feck he done to loose his place to that turnip.

its beetween him and allan martin for a starting position must say i think there are better keepers out there than scott for a scotland cap

Bit harsh Phil lol. Although he doesnt give us all a great confidence he has not done too badly, But there has been mistakes in his performances which say David Hay should be brought back in as he most certainly wouldnt have made these mistakes.
Get The cat back in tomorrow I say.

Nelly - he's shite, end of. I will be phoning CP at 1pm to get the team news and if he's playing I will have to have a strong drink before the match. That's my first question to danny lemon at meet the manager - How much are Rangers or Edinburger Cowden paying you to play Gallacher week in and week out ?

am i the only one that thinks gallacher is a decent keeper? hes made a few mistakes but hes an 18 yr old laddie playing against big bruising strikers who have been kicking about lower league football for years. he seems to me to be a good shot stopper, i remember a lot of praise after his penalty stop at annan. aye there maybe are better keepers out there but as a cowden fan im proud that loan player or not a player from central is representing his country. (tomana for slovakia anyone!!) maybe this recognition will give him a boost and well see an improvement in coming weeks.
i do feel sorry for davie hay tho i must admit, but hes had the odd howler in the past and earlier this season
