was at a wee family gathering the other week, discussing football etc.now one of my relatives was telling me he played for eyemouth way back, when i was wee i can mind of him showing meall the photos right enough,he was talking about the time he played against celtic in the scottish cup at parkhead, right enough just looked it up 1953.also eyemouth got to the quarters in 1959 .now i didnt realise that,he was also saying he was the only player in the east of scotland to be transferred from one team to another and back again in the space of a week[eyemouth come to an agreement with ferranti thistle over it].anyway any old eyemouth fans out there remember him dougie birrell.

Wee bit confusion there - Eyemouth played Celtic twice in the Scottish.

The game in 1953 was at Eyemouth, and Celtic won 4-0.

Then in 1964 they played at Parkhead, and this time Celtic won 3-0.

Pretty respectable scores!

it must have been the 64 game meadowbank, ididnt know they played two games against them.but the 64 date fits in because im sure he said it was 3-0 and not 4.cheers mate
