A well presented and well thought out arguement.
Don't think Celtics army of lawyers will know whats hit them.

As far as I am aware the jist of it is that two brothers who are season ticket holders decided not to take the three match Chumpions League package. Instead they wanted to take the Man Who ticket only.
Celtic said to them that their seat was only guarnateed if they took the 3 match package and didn't allow them to purchase Man Who only.
One of the brothers involved is a lawyer who looks like he is taking it as far as he can.

The issue is over Celtic saying that a season ticket ensures you have priority to purchase home match tickets.

If that is the wording then there is no mention of keeping your 'usual' seat - just getting a seat

Sorry, when i said "....their seat..." i was meaning any seat, not necessarily the one they sit in for league games.

the two brothers are fucked, the club can decide however it wants to sell its tickets
if the club claims that having a season ticket guarantees the holder A seat then the two who are fighting this are just moany b*****ds
although i think the whole situation of buying 3 match packages is ridiculous, what if you can only make it to one match.

They were denied as season ticket holders, the right to purchase a ticket for the Man Who game. That’s the whole point of taking it further.

No they weren't. They could have bought it as part of the package on offer.

If its over only taken 1 ticket rather than the package. If celtic enforced this for everyone, then he has no leg to stand on. They can make it you need to take all 3 if they so wish. If they have sold individual match tickets (for Man Utd only) then he might have a case against them.
Celtic will win if he does take it the full way.

That’s irrelevant. They could turn round and say to everyone that your season ticket will only gain you entry into 12 games instead of the 21 promised. You are suggesting that if they enforced this for everyone then it would stand up when challenged.
The issue is over what Celtic promise season ticket holders. I was hoping a Celtic fan on here would still have such details, sent out at renewal stage. Probably like me it’s been long chucked out. We’ll just have to wait and see.

know whats funny about it.
non-season ticket holders can buy both 3 match pakage or single tickets
and if thats the case then there must be some season ticket holders who dont take all 3 games no?

All depends on the T&Cs on the Season Ticket package.
If they have some sort of statement/disclaimer stating they can do this, or more likely a statement to the effect of "season ticket holders will have priority..... with the exception of Champions League ties where other arrangements will be in place. Season ticket holders will be notified in advance of these fixtures... etc"
Anyway i'd have thought if theyre going to Court theyll have checked this stuff out.

So in the T&C it says:
"3. Purchase of a Season Ticket entitles the Holder to buy a ticket, if avaliable, for any other domestic, European or other home match at the Stadium involving the Club up to a publicised date in advance of the match. After that tme the ticket may be made avaliable by the Club for public sale. Purchase of a ticket by the Holder for such matches does not guarantee the Holder the use of the Holder's normal seat!

If the Man Utd fans were able to get a single ticket for this game then by right so should a Celtic fan. Is it not prejudice to allow one man to attend a game on a single purchase for one game but fail to allow another to attend the same game unless he buys 3 tickets for 3 games! Consumer rights, fair trade and all that! And if the rule says 'if available', how come the Man Utd fan is given a choice, 'if available' to buy a single ticket for this game and the Celtic fan isn't!!
If I'm wrong then fair enough and the geezer has just been shafted by the club he has supported for 50 years supposedly!

Yeah shouldn't he have to buy the 3 match package too? Oh er wait wouldn't HIS team (Man Utd) be playing the same nights and at different venues? But that shouldn't make a difference, should it?

Celtic will have every base covered on this and the "fans" are probably straight out of the bey/glas mould and want to cause their ahem..."beloved club" trouble.
No doubt the guys on their supporters bus/ferry are egging them on big style. Personally I hope my club wipes the floor with them.

You obviously didn't get the point thicko'dim!

.
If the game is under UEFA guidelines, is their possibly a law tucked away that says all consumers have the same rights on purchasing a ticket for a football match! I don't know but I'll tell ye what thicko'dim, yon lawyer geezer complaining will know much better than you ever will on whether he could build a case or not!

1. Haven't you left out an "h". It's usual for trumpets like you to call us "d h i m s" isn't it?
Please stick to your regular insults as we are thick and get confused easily.

It will be interesting to see how this develops.

Yes you already said that. Who knows, he may be a glory hunter like the thousands upon thousands of our supporters or he may have legitimate reasons as to why he only wanted a ticket for the one game.
Regardless, it is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
