Our club finances were discussed, usually you're itching to get some shit about that on here so pop over to the mad board and see what you can muster up son.
Bob Brannan spoke a load of bullshit and avoided questions left, right and centre. They are basically saying give us all your money - we've fucked up and need some.
Brannan pays the players wages - Why what happened to the budget was a question asked and he went on about how we only sold 2050 season tickets and only 825 are adults when they budgeted for 2500 season tickets. Why would you budget for an increase of 200 season tickets from the previous season when we failed to gain promotion, the prices went up and the economic slowdown. I don't understand it. His reply was "we expected the fans to support us giving we're going for promotion."
We have been going for promotion every year bar one since we came into this league.
He basically accused the Development Club etc. of skimming money off the top of the money they raise for the club when in actual fact the add a bit to it. He said you do 2 events a year and get £15,000 each time why don't you do 8 events and get £150,000? Err, what's the logic in that first of, the sums and wrong secondly people don't mind going out and spending for the club twice a year but eight times is a big ask.
His "several hundred thousand pounds" he wants back and we know that because he avoided that question and he also said Bennett's isn't for shares and it's not a donation. They want volunteers to stand at the top of the stairs turning you upside down for your money.
"We took a flyer, we need your money, I saved us from administration but want the money back. COUGH UP, COUGH UP"
