Bankies is a 50/50 - think the highest so far was just short of £300

It's all about crowd size and how many buy raffles.
I would say that clubs should be looking to pay out 33% with a minimum of £5, ie if £100 is taken then pay out £20 first and £10 second and £5 third, or something similar.

If it was nearly £300 that must have been when Kilbirnie were the visitors seein as it is only the two of us that carry any sort of support in our league? You should be thankful that the Meadow are not in our league as the winner wouldn't take home much!

It ranges from £5 to £20 at medda. never bought a ticket though. i never have much luck at those kinda things.
Any time I've been at Lochgelly first prize is either a steak pie or a bottle of spirits.
I think the Rose usually pay out between £40 and £60 - usually a first prize of £20 (sometimes 2) followed by 2 x £10 and 2 x £5.
Most miserable I've seen was at Bathgate where a healthy crowd still only generated £15 in payout. It doesn't surprise me they are now officially paying out sweeties!!! Do any of the Bathgate boys on here actually buy one of these things and is this unnaturally stingy approach a regular thing?

At the Bathgate game it was something like £25 and £12. This week v Petershill it was £14 and £7. Think the tickets are usually £1 for a strip of 5. Best raffle ever had to be at Kilbirnie. £2 a ticket and you were guaranteed a drink in the clubhoose, sorry portakabin. Pretty good way to get round the licensing laws

I dont get involved with that so I cant tell you, but £10 sounds familiar.

Won a fiver at the Bo'ness v Lochee game a few weeks ago.
A strip of tickets is only 50p and there is always five winners, normally a fiver as far as I know.
Better five winners than one scooping the lot. Good old socialist principles.

I think I've once seen a £20, £10 and £5 divvy-up at Haddington.
More usual is £10 and £5, £5 and £3 or just £5

Think it was actually Coltness lol - deffo one of our bigger games - there was just short of 1000 at that the day we won the league.
It could've been our replay with Tayport though. Can't remember to be honest.

Usual prizes are £10 + £5, though i've heard steak pie's mentioned on a few occasions. Not that it worries me anyway as i've never even been close to winning the Albert raffle.
Still at least its not Ballingry, where you are just basically donating a £1 to the club as the prizes are always claimed by someone on their commitee.

Must be a first then!
The commitee get up to all sorts of tricks down there. Last season at the Ballingry v Lochgelly match there was no announcement of the numbers and one of the Albert fans went into the social club at full time to find out what the numbers were. One of the numerous Ballingry commitee told him that the prizes had already been claimed and that his wife had won first prize then showed him the numbers.
Apparantly said commitee man's face was a picture when the Albert fan then produced the ticket for the 1st prize.
