glasnost
Scotland's Shame FC reserves today confirmed that a supporter has come forward and identified himself as being responsible for verbally abusing Celtic Football Club manager Gordon Strachan after Scotland's Shame FC reserves weekend defeat to Celtic at Tynecastle.

The supporter has offered an unreserved apology to Scotland's Shame FC reserves for his unacceptable conduct and has informed the club that he will also be writing to Mr Strachan to convey apologies directly to the Celtic manager.

The club accepts that the supporter has admitted responsibility and that he realises that his actions were completely inappropriate. However, due to the clear breach of the club's Supporters' Charter (Unacceptable conduct - Disrepute offence), he will be subject to a 12 match ban from Scotland's Shame FC reserves games with immediate effect.

Will Celtic FC revoke their season tickets?
Will Scotland's tabloid press carry out a campaign to name and shame them?

I'm not holding my breath.

Why should they?!

Yes it's extremely unsavoury, but it's not illegal in Scotland to protest against something by leaving a football stadium.

I think Glasnost is calling Rangers "Scotland's Shame FC". Look everyone!

It doesn't have to be illegal Toddy, Celtic FC can ban whoever it likes for whatever it likes. Likewise you don't have to commit a crime for the tabloids to run a story. If these are the kind of fans Celtic would rather do without then all it has to do is revoke their season tickets.

Of course Celtic would love us to go away. They would much prefer the nodding heads that agree with everything the plc do and who don't rock the boat.

The trouble for them is that our support is dwindling and they are now literally having to give tickets away.

They may agree with what Celtic are doing because they agree with what Celtic are doing, does not make them any less a supporter than you, even if they don't sing.
EdTheDuck
...is 'nodding heads' a euphemism for a supporter, you know someone who just turns up for the game to support the team and doesn't really give a flyin feck about the machinations of the tiny minority with an axe to gring?...

What ban are Celtic passing to the cock that came on the pitch against Man United in midweek?

Now that is a far better reason to ban a supporter!

Another celtic deflection job.

Calling strachan a bawb*g is shameful wink.gif while the sort of cr*p you post and back is freedom of speech rolleyes.gif You are a sad, sad individual glasnost, fascinated by HMFC,with probably very low self esteem. Get help.

Funny how this story was so much worse that the papers ran with this rather than the sectarian chanting from the Celtic end.

I am for one shocked that our papers have failed in their duty. laugh.gif

Over to Peter O'Sullivan...................

It's been beyofpigshit by a furlong or so in the "biggest waste of space Celtic fan Stakes"

(Novice hurdle for 3yr olds by the way. wink.gif )

However coming up fast on the outside is glasspost (so called because everyone can see through him) and it looks like being a very tight finish as they come to the line......IT'S A DEAD HEAT!!! Oh the drama! dry.gif
