Just been posted on offishal site. Raith fans you have been warned and as I have said before I will take great delight in pointing any of you out! Can't understand the arrogance, ignorance and not to mention downright stupidity of anyone who would want to sit in the opposition end

BOTH CLUBS WANT SATURDAYS FIXTURE TO BE AN ENJOYABLE AND SAFE EXPERIENCE FOR SUPPORTERS OF BOTH CLUBS.

AFTER A MEETING BETWEEN EAST FIFE FC, RAITH ROVERS FC AND FIFE CONSTABULARY THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS IMPORTANT FOR SATURDAYS GAME :-

¨ ANY RAITH ROVERS SUPPORTERS TRYING TO ENTER THE HOME SECTION OF THE GROUND WEARING RAITH ROVERS COLOURS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED BY POLICE AND STEWARDS.

¨ CAR PARKING AROUND THE GROUND WILL BE SEVERELY LIMITED. SUPPORTERS ARE ASKED TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARRIVE AT THE GROUND EARLY.iam.anderson3@btinternet.com

Totally agree

Having been in the 'wrong' end at a Raith/Ayr match it is hard to keep up the pretence of 'I belong', especially when all around you goes nuts, and you see the linesman flagging the goal offside.

Did you get my order Liam ?

They must have left it late then as you only sold out the home allocation a few days ago.

I can't help thinking its a bit rich having the Fife Constabulary input.

Are these the same gutless civil servants who refused to take any action against all the Rangers fans in the home and at Starks Park.

I assume its one rule for the OF and one rule for everyone else.

Well We Could Say The Same About Rovers, From The Videos On Youtube Use Wern't To Happy When Rangers Fans Were In The Home End, But Funnily Enough Use Were Quick Enough To Buy Tickets In Our Home End. mad.gif

One small difference you may not be awarre of. There are no tickets available left for our end, on the day of the Rangers game there were literally THOUSANDS of empty seats in their end they could have had.

Not saying it makes it right, but the circumstances are not exactly like for like.
Wildrover_1986
So I'm guessing Rovers fans who enter the home end NOT wearing Rovers colours should be fine. That's re-assuring as that's my plan anyway smile.gif

DID YOU SEE IT ON THE NET OR DID THEY SHOUT IT AT YOU? rolleyes.gif

Dinny really care as I've got mine. I'm all right jack as they say. tongue.gif

Anyhow, bigger teams with bigger supports will ALWAYS have fans in the wrong end due to the stupidity of the home teams. It happened at Starks v Rangers but as someone already posted there were masses of away end tickets left. Rovers WERE at fault that day for selling them thei tickets.
More sensible on Saturday would have been for EF to segregate half way along the solitary stand as there is natural segregation there anyhow. That way there would have been 1000 tickets available for Rovers fans, and you would have been able to fit your 2 men and a dug in the other 1000 seats. Sensible, but then it IS Wullie Gray, aka Mr Vendetta we are talking about. Anyhow, dunno how the 20 or so polis will deal when there is an estimated 200 Rovers fans going to be in amongst the minks fae Mefful if, as I doubt, there was trouble.

Agreed entirely.

This is sopmething which pisses me off. I wasn't annoyed at Rangers fans because there were away end seats left. I was annoyed at them because they were in the Home End.

It is utterly irrelevant whether they are a diddy club who struggle to sell out their own end or not. We have segregation for a reason and if you can't get a ticket then you should be enough of a grown up to get over it.
rw89
Doubt this will stop any Raith fans with tickets at the home end not going in. I've got my ticket, couldn't really care less about anyone else providing nobody gets hurt. smile.gif

I wonder if big Gordy Brown will sit in the "Away End" and Alex (never getting my vote again after wearing an East Fife scarf) Salmond will be accompanying the Fife in the home?
Michael W
Being resigned to the fact that a few Raith fans will be in the home end, I hope they manage to keep it shut and not cause any trouble. I'd be angry if the situation was the other way around if I'm being honest.

If anyone does make a tit of themselves and is kicked out/given a kick in, you deserved it, I don't want to see any moaning about it.

And Your Point Is?

Maybe You Should Learn To Read And Understand What A Post Is Saying.

I Think East Fife Are Perfectly Correct. Only Home Fans Should Be In The Home End. My Point Is That The Fife Police Were Too Gutless To Take Any Action Against The Rangers Fans At Kirkcaldy But They Are Making A Point Of Saying They Will Take Action On Saturday.

As I said. One Rule For The OF and One For Everyone Else.

How will the constabulary identify a Raith fan in the home and or a genuine neutral? If they aren't wearing clours will a neautral be expelled for celebrating if Raith score?

If this 'neutral' is stupid enough to celebrate a goal for us whilst sitting in amongst EF fans then yes, he most definitely should be kicked out.

You're also correct though, the Rangers fans should have been removed.

It looks as though there will be Raith fans in the home end. As long as they keep their mouths shut there shouldn't be any bother.

So the fans that applauded Alloa's opener should have been removed from the South Stand on Saturday should they?

I think the police are onto a very sticky wicket if they are going to throw out neutrals for admiring a game of football.

Away. There is a big difference between applauding an opposition goal than celebrating your own team scoring.

There's a distinct difference between applauding a nice goal and celebrating it.

I, for example, applauded Williams 2nd last season at Starks. I most certainly did not 'celebrate'.
the_russian
Here is a small group of away fans in the home end, politely applauding when their team score, but not enough to identify themselves.

Exactly.

When Ellis scored against East Fife, I ran down the entire South Stand, arms aloft, to shout abuse at Gray.

I applauded politley when Alloa scored on Sat.
