Head Coach Diego Maradonna said:

"Messi is not in the list out of respect to Barcelona,''

"When we met [AFA president Julio] Grondona, the verbal agreement was already set. Laporta was a gentleman by letting him play the Olympic Games so we decided to let him stay in Barcelona for this match. If Barcelona finally let him play, he will be included on the list"

Same, great player.

It is a shame, but would be an massive treck for him though.

They still have an excellent midfield though with two of the best holding midfielders in the world for me. Doubt we'll get much change out of them in an attacking sense so we'll have to work hard at stopping their flair players destroying us.

Thought we would be employing Burleys trademark attacking football to overcome the Latin giants. laugh.gif

Good that its a strong squad, but would have been nice to have Messi and Riquelme. If we get a doing it would be nice itf it was the strongest possible team that they have.
Scotty Tunbridge
Should be great to see Tevez, Sergio Aguero, Maxi Rod' and Di Maria in action.
