how does this over and under 2.5 goals and all the asian handicap etc work?
dougalldogg
Your betting on how many handicaped asians will be on the pitch at one point, If its the celtic game your betting on Id go for -2.5 as I think Nakamura and Park will be on the bench.
Kayster
Simple way of putting it is.......

Under 2.5 = 0-0, 1-0, 1-1, 2-0. Basically if there are 2 or less goals scored.

Over 2.5 = Any scoreline not mentioned above. 3 or more goals scored in the game.

bully wee dave
Alright mate.

Betting on the over/under is pretty much straight forward. A bet on over 2.5 goals will win if there are 3+ goals scored between the teams. For Example - 3-0, 2-1, 2-2...

Asian Handicaps are difficult to explain but if you're prepared to do a little bit of reading you should get the hang of it no bother. There are plenty sites out there explaining the ins and outs of it so typing asian handicap into google should give you enough to get to grips with it.

The clearest site I have found is the following -

Asian Handicaps Explained
Milners
With Asian Handicap betting you eliminate the possibility of a draw in a soccer game. The underdog will be given a head start of a handicap, and the favourite will be handicapped by the same handicap. The predetermined number of handicap will be added to the real number of goals and make up the right bet.

Asian Handicap advantage compared to fixed odds.

You eliminate the possibility of a draw result, increasing your main winning chance from 33,3 percent to 50 percent in a single game. If a quarter handicap game ends with a tie result, and you fail to win your bet, you only lose 50 % of your stake. Depending on the handicap you can win your bet even if the team you bet on don't win the game. You can bet on a team you believe will lose the game, but because of a big handicap you can still win the bet. Typical here is when the favorite team win the game with only one goal. When following the match 'live', tension is high since a single goal can take you from losing to winning (or the other way around).
0:0 Handicap
If there are no favourite the handicap will be set to 0:0.There will not be given a head start of a handicap for any team. No handicap will be added to the real number of goals.
