If any Celtic fans at a loose end tomorrow afternoon before the main event, you could do worse than go along to this.

“Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brings his reserve side to Airdrie on Wednesday afternoon to face a Celtic reserve side.

Kick-off is at 3pm with admission just £3 and Airdrie United and Celtic Season Tickets are valid for the Match”

This is interesting; if the ManUre reserves have a game during the day, will that mean that Sir Alex will field a strong side in the evening?

Not that I'm at all suggesting the likes of Ronaldo and co would have been rested for the big match on Saturday.

A lot of you may look at this thread and think: "my word, that Glasnost is the epitome of tediousness", but I'm here to assure you that this is not the case. This guy knows how to party.
He knows how to roll when he's tripping, but he also knows how to cool it down and take his work to the extreme.

Who knows. The reserves are likely just to be out of favour players or youth players on their way up. There would be plenty left for Fergushin to field what would be considered a ‘weaker’ team. I think he will be all out for revenge and will start with a strong team, making changes as necessary should they find themselves in easy street by half time.

I'll be taking in this Reserve match along with my mate, he's a Manc and wants to go to this one to see "the baby faced assassin" before taking in his big team humping their big team. biggrin.gif

I am not sure if your Scotland’s Shame FC season card will get you free entry into the game. You may as well try though. Just flash your card and give a funny handshake and you should breeze through.

Har Har Har, unlike you I wont mind paying £3 to get into the stadium to watch Man United reserves, the stadium isn't far a walk, about 5 minutes max. wink.gif

Why would I want to try with my ST, a few of my mates who wont be going are Airdrie ST holders, if I really wanted to I would just get theres, but I will be quite happy to pay the £3. It's only £3 afterall.

If I had have thought about it earlier I might have booked an afternoon off to see that, even just to have a look at what united have in their reserves....should be an interesting game. Thinking about watching more of the reserve games to be honest

FT from Excelsiur Stadium. Celtic 0 - 0 Man Utd.

Not a game for finishing that much can be said, although Man Utd struck the woodwork with a free-kick from about 28yards. Celtic also flashed a free-kick just wide in what was a very dull first half.

Second half brightened up, and was mainly Celtic in terms of chances, going close on 5 or 6 occassions, but as before, the end product was woeful. Man Utd had 2 good chances themselves, but again the finishing was diabolical.

Mizuno looked a decent player for your lot, caused the Man Utd full-back alot of bother drifting in and out onto the wing. He went close a couple of times and had a good game.

Manucho was very dissappointing, being the main reason I took the trip along as he looked a good player. A few good passes and moves, but really didn't show much reason on why he is an International for me.

The Man Utd winger was pretty tricky in the first-half, and in spells in the 2nd, had good pace which troubled Celtic. Although his crosses were pretty terrible.

Decent game, but the finishing for both sides is something that needs worked on. Man Utd should regard themselves lucky they have such a big ammount of money to spend on the 1st Team, as no-one in that Reserve side looked capable of taking a step up, even to League One/Championship.

Didn't do much in terms of making people want to watch more football, but it is only reserve level, no doubt the Utd first-team will be alot better than that. wink.gif
