CELTIC will pilot a new automated ticket purchasing system commencing tomorrow, Wednesday, November 5.

The new system will utilise state-of-the-art Speech Recognition to ask and receive information to complete a transaction from start to finish.

• Season Ticket Holders will be able to purchase their normal seats for games not covered by their season ticket.
• Members will be able to purchase tickets for home games.
• Successfully balloted members of the Away Registration Scheme will be able to buy tickets for away games.
• Season Tickets can be renewed.
• Memberships can be renewed.
• Anyone who has previously booked tickets and has a Client ID/Membership number can transact.

Fans calling the Ticket sales line 0871 226 1888 should have their Client Identification Number/Membership number to hand as this will be used to verify the caller’s identity and eligibility to purchase.

The system will be able to handle up to 360 concurrent callers and thereby reduce or eliminate any delay in waiting for an agent to handle their call. The new system will enable a fast, efficient, consistent transaction in a secure environment.

The system will be turned on this November 5 for approximately two weeks to trial the technology and then will be ‘tuned’ to optimise the Speech Recogniser for full deployment.

The club is confident that fans will support our strategy of embracing new technology to improve access to purchase tickets through a choice of sales channels and ultimately deliver a better customer experience.

The new automated ticket purchasing system will be in operation for supporters wanting to buy tickets for Celtic's next two home SPL games, against Motherwell on Saturday, November 8 and then Kilmarnock on Wednesday, November 12.

Tickets for this match are also available at the following Celtic stores: Argyle Street and Sauchiehall Street, both Glasgow, East Kilbride, Coatbridge and Clydebank.

There is the reason why it will be an EPIC FAIL!

And before anyone gets their frilly panties in a twist, that's a dig at society in general.

Interesting stuff. Anything that can take away the sheer frustration of hanging around on a phone line is okay by me. Incidentally I thought my local Indian did the same thing, until I realised they just kept a note of my phone number and it showed up when I phoned.... smile.gif
