I got to no match today as Hawick off and no other game in Borders. But was able to keep track of scores using update thing on EOS web site from phone. Gala have lost today and was a heavily loss but they still sitting 5 (I think) point clear at top of the table. With all different club having different games in hand is there a way we can try to discover the REAL table???? Make your suggestions here then. smile.gif smile.gif

The alternative to using total number of points is to do it by percentage of points taken. So team that's played 3, with 2 wins 1 draw = 7 points, is put above someone played 6, 3 wins = 9 points.

Premier Division
1 Heriot-Watt University 83%
2 Edinburgh City 77%
3 Dalbeattie Star 76%
4 Lothian Thistle 57%
5 Spartans 55%
6 Preston Athletic 44%
7 Coldstream 38%
8 Edinburgh University 33%
= Whitehill Welfare 33%
10 Easthouses Lily 29%
------------------------------
11 Selkirk 25%
12 Peebles 0%

First Division
1 Gretna 2008 100%
= Stirling University 100%
-------------------------------
3 Tynecastle 83%
4 Gala Fairydean 60%
5 Craigroyston 55%
= Leith Athletic 55%
Eyemouth United 46%
8 Civil Service Strollers 33%
= Kelso United 33%
= Ormiston 33%
11 Hawick Royal Albert 4%
12 Vale of Leithen 0%

However, I don't think you can claim that's a full-proof method either... - it depends on who you've played, and clubs that have played only a handful of games get distorted more by 1/2 bad results.

Anyway, clubs with 8 games in hand just makes for more of the excitement biggrin.gif - doesn't it huh.gif ...

Not so good reading for Gala then but I suppose they are in artificial position anyway. Top of table but 6 wins 4 losses is not champions form.

Was it just a bad day at the office for Gala today or was the result a fair reflection? Good result for Craigroyston anyways

itwas a bad ref day sent off craigroysten player for two footed lunge, then got threatened by a yob at side of the park(just out of juvinile home i hear) this is after he gve a penalty for someone challenging the keeper wich was saved. then gave craigroysten two goals of a lead first was miles off side at least 5 yards second blew the whistle and every one stoped then said play on and craigy scored. booked 2 players for protesting then admited he was wrong. then gala were well on top getting 1 back then ref sent gala player off for second yellow to even it up then after half time gala made it 2-2 and the ref lost the plot sending off another gala player for handball on the line when it was clearly his chest(even craigy players agreed) then craigy scored from spot. then he sent off jay wilson for second yellow after he got pushed over by craigy right back. absolute disgrace of a ref tom hanlon or something. HE LOST THE PLOT!!!! COST GALA THE GAME IN WICH THEY DESERVED TO WIN. but with 8 men it was an impossible task. craigy took full adantage

That's all just part of the drama Easty. In the Premier in the last two seasons Annan and Whitehill put together tremendous and of season runs to take the title from behind. We have it all to do this year and on the form of the Scottish Cup games at least I am sure the boys will be up for that task.

Edinburgh City also very handily placed to do the same.

Thank you for your honest and completely unbiased account on yesterdays game. Surely it wasn't all the Refs fault but his name is Paul Hanlon and he is one of the worst out there.

The ref did spoil the game, he seemed to be a bit card happy, but aren't all the refs in this league the same? I didn't arrive til late in first half so cannot comment on the earlier stuff. Good equaliser by Desie, had Craigie under the cosh for a bit. From where we were standing...Gala 18 yard line...four of us agreed that the ball hit the top of the players arm, preventing the ball going in..the lad very unfortunate as the ball was blasted against him and could do little about it, but the ref applied the letter of the law and sent him off. Craige totally controlled the game after that and went on to score two futher goals, before Gala getting their 3rd player sent off.

Gala now missing three players for their trip to Hawick next week..pitch will be playable smile.gif
