According to Spartan FC web site the details of extra dates and times for match v Annan are now:
- if draw on Saturday, replay at 1:30pm on Wednesday at City park
- if tie postponed again on saturday, try for third time at 7:30pm on Monday at Annan

Does any one have detail of arrangement for civil v vale and wick v Edinburgh city? Chance for some midweekers depending on weather and results. Don't expect a big crowd for midweek tie at 1:30pm though... ph34r.gif blink.gif

If it is a draw, the replay is wednesday 5 November at City Park 1.30 pm kick off. I heard this from the Spartans secretary( who I think should know).

Worrying if true. Poor turn out crowd-wise, players unable to make it. Shame really.
Simplistic
This is the case. It would be wed afternoon - it is due to SFA rules of the cup. We have no choice but to play it on that day, unless it gets called off...........

Shame as its too late for me to get day off - just have to hope the game doesn't require a replay

No point hoping for a call-off if it does go ahead on Wednesday Simplistic - normal procedure sees the tie rescheduled on subsequent Monday/Tuesday and Wednesday until the fixture is completed.

QUOTE
28. Drawn or Unplayed Ties, excluding Semi-Finals and Final Ties
a) When a first match in the Preliminary Round (if applicable), Round One, Round
Two or Round Three is drawn, or is not played on or before the original date, the
drawn or unplayed match shall be replayed or played on the Saturday following
the first match or the date fixed therefore, or in the second midweek following
the original match date, unless the two clubs, the relevant authorities and the
Association are all agreeable that the match be played on an earlier date. The
drawn or unplayed match shall take place on a day to be mutually agreed by the
two clubs, other than Thursday or Friday (Rule 47(a) refers).

So under this rule, the match postponed last weekend was rescheduled for this coming Saturday.

QUOTE
c) If, in either case, a tie is still undecided, clubs are required to make two attempts to
replay the tie in succeeding mid-weeks until a decision is reached. These attempts
will be made on Mondays and Wednesdays. Clubs may however elect to play on a
Tuesday rather than a Monday, but if doing so, will be required to play or replay on
the Wednesday of that midweek in the event of a draw or a postponement
. Cup
Competition replays will have priority over league matches either scheduled or
re-scheduled except in exceptional circumstances and by agreement of the Board.

So under this rule, outside exceptional circumstance, it's City Park, lunchtime kick-off, until played.

Crowd could be affected by a 1:30pm kick-off on a weekday - but City Park hasn't got floodlights.

AAFC's discussions with the SFA indicate:
If Saturday's game against Spartans is drawn then the replay is at City Park on Tuesday 4th November with a 1.30pm kick-off. (not quite how I interpret the rules).

If the game is postponed again on Saturday (unlikely as the weather seems to be on our side) the game will be rearranged to Monday 3rd November at Galabank with a 7.30pm ko. If this game is drawn then the replay is at City Park on Wed 5th November with a 1.30pm kick-off.

If a replay ends in a draw, extra time and pens will decide who plays Elgin (away) in the next round on 29th November.

This is an age-old argument though, because some people read it and conclude that you go to Monday/Tuesday for a replay, when the first tie was postponed; while others read it, and believe it's still covered by 'second midweek following the original match date', and can be Wednesday if desired. Doesn't really matter; I suppose Wednesday afternoon helps some fans (half-day etc.).

Whatever reality prove to make it is still bad to have replay during day. Why not play meadowbank, floodlights?
