I envisage a record low 2nd Division crowd for this one on Saturday. Does anyone know what the lowest crowd figure is for this league?
Anyway, the game itself. Ho hum. We'll huff and puff, and end up with a draw, probably.
I've given up on this season really. It's all about next year with the new owners and new management team, and the bright future ahead.

I fail to see how Stranraer fans can give up. They came up hoping for survival, until last week they were in a survival position, and after this week they could be as high as 6th.
I know all about the financial problems, but surely the fans still want them to stay up?

Stranraer 1 up at Half Time
I'm starting it early and perhaps by full time things will be different, if Stirling loose today then Moore MUST either quit or be sacked. Enough is enough, he's had long enough and we are going backwards. Many (including myself) are fed up paying good hard earned money to watch the drivel he manages and his baffling tactics. I didn't go today as a kind of protest, fed up giving out £25 every 2nd week to take my kid and myself to Forthbank and getting nowt in return, no entertainment, no fecking pies (going on for over four years now), lack of atmosphere and sadly this year, few fans.

Perhaps my words have spurred them on, it's now 1-1, Grehan has scored for Stirling.
Edit: Well Stirling won 3-2 at the end, not sure about the performance so can't yet comment as to how we played today. Can't think this result will do much to improve my opinion on things just now, but will give it time to think and no doubt I'll be back next week.

Probably one of the worst wins I have ever seen. We were shite as usual in the first half and despite so many goals in the second half, it only papered over the cracks of a terrible game!
There seemed to be more fans unhappy at half time and the lack of fans in the home stand (official crowd was 509- but two buses of kids turned up today, either that it would have been a low 400 crowd) is evidence of how we are playing this season.
It's getting worse each week to watch and there is several players who shouldn't be playing at senior level playing for us. As someone said, we look like a St Mirren reserve team (they must have had the worst reserve team ever a few seasons ago!!)

Well, we won 3-2, but we were, for the most part, absolute gash. Stranraer are by some way the worst team I've seen this season, and it's pretty much the only reason we won.
The players just don't seem to have anything about them at all. 2nd half was marginally better, but again Moore's tactics are baffling. Why play our two smallest players up front if we're just going to lump high balls all day? Clueless.
Still, a win's a win, but we'll have to up our game considerably if we want to take anything from the tinks next week.

It didn't paper over the cracks, it didn't even cling-film over the cracks. The cracks are still there, as wide and obvious as they've ever been.
Shocking performance and undeserved victory.
How we lost that I do not know, even a draw would have been an injustice.
Stirling had 3 chances to our approx 10.
The game should have been over by HT.
Albion defence couldn't handle Tade or Mullen but the finishing cost us.

It was bloody grim, you could not make a team out of the 22 on display. Who was the better team? who cares? it was bad, the Bino's won but , Oh for the day's when we both had team's.
Apart from the 3 goals we offered nothing whilst Stranraer should have been 3 up before their keeper had a meaningful touch of the ball.
Hogarth, Graham, Devine, Lawrie, Hamilton and Docherty were an embarrasment to the jerseys and the clock is now ticking on Moore - there were only about 400 paying punters at the game and that figure is going to go down if we continue to play like that. It's the first time this season I've booed the team at half time but that first 45 minutes was as abject as I've ever seen.

Brilliant, he's carrying the team through it's bad patch. Without him Stranraer would have undoubtedly taken the three points. He's a great defender but what impresses me most is his slick, pacy, passing-to-feet which is the very spine of our attacking threat.

Nov 2 2008, 12:12
Gutted we never won that

. We deserved at least a draw but once again awful defending let us down.
We could easily of been 4-0 up before half time, Tade had two great chances one from a freekick and Frizzel was unlucky to get onto the end of a cross ball. Stirling were really poor in the first half just sent long balls up the pitch all day, which in the first half our defence dealt with well and i dont remember stirling having mnay shots on target in the first half.
In the second, stirling got into the game more but we were again still creating chances and Mullen should of took his chance when he hut the post, but i have to say He was fantastic yesterday. He was looking to get onto the ball, taking people on, working well with Tade upfront and looking to have a lot more confidence. He deserved a goal.
Thought Black might of been at fault for the first and last goal. He could of came and claimed the first as it was near his 6-yard box and the last he was too far off his line this time and was lobbed. Defence didnt help him but they were pretty awful. Not organised again.
Have to say though once again the players looked like they were giving 100 % and we deserved something from the game. Best were Mullen, and Tade pleased for Mullen as he has been getting alot of stick recently.

Stirling are easily the worst team Ive seen this season, just makes getting beat all the harder to take!

We created plenty of chances (really should have had the 3 points wrapped up by half time) while Stirling created very little, from very little they got 3 goals to our 2 though and thats what counts. Stirling could easily be fighting relegation with ourselves and the other contenders if that display is anything to go by though.

Spot on. At this moment in time, I am looking down in the league instead of up for results.

For the St Mirren fan-
Molloy- Pretty mince so far, but hopefully his goals on Sat will help him improve.
Docherty- Shockingly bad so far!
Lowing- Mince
McKenna- Had a good first 2 months with us and has scored 2 goals in about a year- mince!
McCay- Back at St Mirren and one of the worst players I have ever seen!

My greatest memory of games at Love Street was the match where we drew 2-2 after going down to ten men and having our sub goalie come on and have to play up front. The fight and desire shown by the team that day had me bursting with pride.
The following midweek we went on to beat Killie 6-2 in the cup. It was the best of times.

I agree and it's probably to do with the difference in quality of his team mates and the role he's being asked to perform. He'd be fine if he was asked to win the ball and give it to a midfielder who can then do something with it but we don't have it. Moore seems to want him to get into the box more.
