Full Version: Naka - Master Of The Free Kick
The Pie Shop > SPL and SFL Football > Rangers v Celtic, Celtic v Rangers

Fantastic free kick by the master tonight again.
Listened to that moaning faced twat Jefferies after the game saying it wasn't a free kick. His players kicked the wee man all over the park tonight. No wonder WGS took him off.

When are referees going to give him a bit of protection?

Superb free kick.Undoubtedly the most skilful player in Scotland and will be sorely missed if he leaves in January although Celtic will try to talk him out of it.Celtic gave as good as they got in the tough tackling line. Will win the league even if they lose him.

Aside from his free-kicks I don’t think nor see how he will be sorely missed at all.

He is hardly that crucial to our league winning hopes.

Well I have already said that IMO technically he is out on his own at Celtic Park. I just do not understand those that go overboard over him. He is continually posted missing in games against sterner opposition and it is almost a given that he will not perform in certain games.

i see what your saying, in the past he has technically only really played 6-8 games a season, the stereotypical empty jersey at times

but the oposite of what your saying i think have the habit of going overboard with criticism, same with JVOH

but it think just watching him with the ball is something else, we will miss him for sure, but move on

I love watching the wee man play a defence splitting pass or scoring a superb free kick, I'd wish he'd stay, he can be a joy to watch. Thank god he was subbed last night, still took a fantastic free kick.

Anybody have any video of the goal last night?

You mean like kris boyd? wink.gif Think you'll find Naka scores against the big teams like Man Utd,etc although Boyd doesnt get the chance to play in the Champions League with his club not being champions.
Seem to remember he scored a very good goal near the end of last season against rankers on our run to be Champions at Celtic Park biggrin.gif

scored twice against man u and both were set pieces

fact is he's had the same involvement in europe this year as pat mccourt i.e f**k all

as rangers showed in europe last year scottish teams in general need 11 men to bust a gut in europe and naka just doesnt have the balls to do that

look at mcgeady at old trafford compared to naka

both are good players but one was brought up knowing how to work against better teams and one doesnt

This is exactly what I am talking about.

Yes Nakamura scored two free kicks against Man Utd, aside from those, in the games he has played for us in Europe he has offered little and has at times been detrimental to the team. The same can be said of him at The Govan Reichstag where is all but anonymous and other tough away games.

We wouldn’t play a player just because he can hot a good penalty so why so with someone who can hit a good free kick? We cannot afford to play players who, for whatever reasons, are virtual passengers for most of the game – maybe Man Utd and Barcelona can, we can’t. Nakamura in the aforementioned games falls into that category.

11 defenders?

C'mon now, JCD isn't even good enough to be a defender, nor is Lee McCulloch or DaMarcus Beasley. biggrin.gif

If you gotta do the job that way to go through tongue.gif

I don't think Celtic will miss Nakamura.

They have Barry Robson, who takes a corner just as well, his free kicks are almost as good, and he can defend a bit too.

I love watching the wee man play, he as a superb footballing brain allied to his lovely skill, I can understand why people don't want him in the team, I'd play him all the time (might have to sub him in heavy going mind)

It's their sub keeper tomorrow - might just get one of those free kicks after all.
With his talent he should've been a Brazilian biggrin.gif

nakamura takes a great free kick no doubt but celts fans reactions to him are OTT. The season before last fat ass Charlie Adam scored more free kicks than him and I wouldnt want him anywhere near the pitch at Ibrox
