Women's under 17 world cup is currently being played in NZ. Now, I have seen Scotland in a World Cup (France 98), but have always wanted to go to a WC final. Scotland isn't playing at this one...
Should I go? One half says, yes, it's a WC final, the other half is going 'it's kind of Gary Glitterish' to go and watch a bunch of u17 girls play football.
What do you think?

are you in New Zealand? If so then you could go if you want.
If you are in Scotland it would sound abit dodgy going all that way for that.

yep, I'm in NZ, I live in Hamilton, well for the moment I do...
There's a few games being played here, at the Waikato Stadium, but I don't really fancy it. Much rather go and see the final.
Still kind of feels icky though if you catch my drift.

If you like watching paint dry then go, if not stay well clear.

I'd go if it was raining.

Most, if not all the girls will be 16.

Dunno why that made me

I'd expect him saying to his bird 'I'm flying 10,000 miles to see some sweaty 17 year old girls kick a ball about in New Zealand' would have firmly entrenched him in the Gary Glitter camp, and got him dumped in the process.
I'd say go, old enough to bleed, old enough to butcher.
Why just the U17 final. Why not go to all the games you can. Cost is very cheap - About NZ$10 per Adult for a ticket which gets you 2 games - one after the other. Thats only 3 pounds for 2 games. Where else can you get to see a FIFA World Cup so cheaply!
I took my son and daughter to watch the first two Womens U17 World Cup games in Wellington this week. Crowd numbered about 13,000 at Wellington's Westpac Stadium.
Games 1: England beat Brazil 3 - 0. (great game, with very good skills from both teams. Was worth watching. All the goals came in last 20 minutes)
Games 2: Nigeria beat South Korea 2 - 1. (not quite up to standard of first game. Nigeria scored after 25 seconds!)
Going Sunday to watch next two games.
Westpac Stadium is also the home to the "Wellington Phoenix FC" a professional football team playing in the Australian A League.

Listen hen, I'm off to fly 12k miles to watch some barely legal lassies run about trying to kick a ba about...
You would think the clue is in my name....
