I'm assuming this is a photoshopping from Follow Follow, playing on the racist song sung by the Rangers fans that make Walter Smith ashamed and amazed at how stupid they are.

I think although Celtic were well beaten by a vastly superior team, just like the huns last time they were in Manchester, we can still say our fans won plaudits with their behaviour, sometime common decency is more important that football. Walter Smith knows that, he wonders when the hun fans will realise it.

Yes because 4 arrests in 12000 is better than 42 in 200000

You can't say about your behaviour abroad in Europe.

Barcelona, fan arrested, jailed for 3 years for STABBING someone. Along with the other arrests that were made.

Also during your Uefa run, Blackburn, similar numbers to Manchester, and you still managed to cause a riot and get the highest number of banning orders for a football game.

Then you have that shiney, only Scottish team to play behind closed doors + be forced to play a match away from your home ground in Europe because of crowd troubles, but hey, don't let facts get in the road of anything rolleyes.gif

It's also amazing how stupid your mob are, going to Manchester, a town the IRA BLEW UP, and then having the cheek to sing "ooh ahh up the ra"

Your not as decent a bunch as you like to believe.

Imagine using a faked photo from a minutes silence as a point scoring exercise. Fucking vermin mad.gif

That reminds me of a post I made the day after the UEFA Cup Final disgrace from the huns, when some were trying to downplay what happened by quoting a handful of arrests despite being faced with CCTV evidence showing running riots:

QUOTE (glasnost @ May 16 2008, 11:18) *
The point is, stating how many were arrested is completley irrelevant and a red herring. It is of course the line I expect the huns and the hun trust to stick to.

Not bad for a prediction, eh?

I remember reading in the papers a day or 2 after Rangers final that another 80 or so identified ringleaders faced arrest in dawn raids because of the riots in Manchester.

The boabies were too busy to actually nick anyone during the commotion down in Manchester when the telly broke.

Well, I'm pretty sure the papers wouldn't have missed the chance to name and shame those who were raided and arrested. I'd have hapilly seen them named and shamed, Rangers also asked for it to happen so they could ban the people. Nothing has come of it.

Yet.

Don't think it would have been possible for that one policeman to arrest every one of the 200+ scumbags chasing him on that CCTV footage, do you?

Were Celtic supporters better behaved than Rangers in Manchester? Yes.

What about the riot police and all the other police?

Now I hated what happened as much as the next, but some of the people caught up in it were trying to get AWAY from the trouble, but could only run one direction as the police had cordined everyone off.

There is videos of innocent bystanders (woman and children!) being hit with the battons by the riot police, even though they are cowering at the side of the road away from the riot. What about the guy who ran over and pushed the rangers fan standing facing away?

They could have arrested a large majority of the people that night, and I hope as much as you, that the people who were actually going at the police are caught. What they did to that policeman was scummy.

Other than seing what had happened that night, I didn't have any bad experiences with the Police the full trip. Got a good laugh with them and they were joining in with the banter, but one crazy thing was the lifting of that drinking in the street law in the whole city rather than just desegnated areas.

I'd rather not get back into this discussion though. Yes the Celtic fans were better behaved, but TGMP were prepared for the numbers that Celtic brought to Manchester. They were no where near prepared for the invasion of people that went to watch Rangers.

That being the case, why then do you seem keen to quote the actual number of arrests (42 or whatever) when you acknowledge that it should have been far more?

I said at the time that the huns will use this figure to downplay what happened in Manchester. That looks certainly to be the case.

Why has the people who were throwing stuff at Rangers players at the end of last season downplayed by Celtic FC, and nothing has came of it and is almost forgotten?

Sweep sweep?

When was this last season and how do you know nothing has came of it?

Because thats the number who were deffinetly involved, I know there were people caught up int trying to get away from it all (women and kids) who got clobbered along with the rest.

This would be the 1st of the 2 games at parkhead, objects were thrown at McGregor as he got treatment, and then at Novo/Ferguson later on in the game. Not to mention the coins which were being thrown into the Rangers fans.

Yes but you know that more people were 'deffinetly' involved which is why I am asking you why you seem keen to quote the actual number of arrests (42 or whatever) when you acknowledge that it should have been far more.

To jog his memory here is Willie Waddell's message to the unmentionables in the aftermath:

“It is to these tikes, hooligans, louts and drunkards that I pinpoint my message. It is because of your gutter-rat behaviour that we are being publicly tarred and feathered like this.”

An (unheeded) message more than apposite to this day.

I hope the Mancheser Utd fans don't see today as a chance to get even with Glasgow, although I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

The *** hoardes that sacked their city would have to accept all responsibility if it does happen.

They caused some bother the last time they were up before the police managed to round up many of the MIB. The atmosphere the last time in Glasgow city centre was quite tense. There was actually a police cordon just down from the Barras, Gallowgate side and we had to show our tickets to get by! Mental.
