Couple of us think about traveling up on saturday. Whitehill website has information but mention only of standing area for fans. I under stand cove rangers have small seated stand of around 200 seats.

Is this open to walk up spectator on saturday???? Or will only be for directors media and sponsor????

Any help much appreciate.

I don't think paying punters can get into the Cove stand - I've never tried - and it always looks full of suits.

As for the ground, it's cramped, and extremely tight to walk around. Players only have about a yard of space when taking throws. If theres a crowd, then it can be a decent place to watch a game. You get a good view from inside the shed, but the pitch is so small most folk could probably cross it in a dozen strides. laugh.gif

Touchline and crowd

As for the weather, probably cold and dry.

My learned Lossie friend is correct, the "seats" are for corporate sponsors only.

Although the rest of the ground is standing only, if you turn right when you get through the turnstiles, there is a bench that runs the length of the touchline from the away dugout, but that's the best we can offer.

Everything else is covered in the stuff I sent through to your website, but didn't get credited for.... dry.gif wink.gif

But happy to answer any more questions on here!

Better look out my thermals and wellies then sad.gif

Whatever you do, can you lot ensure this doesn't go to a replay? Lossie have Cove next weekend, but if you shmucks need a second go at each other, our game will be off.

Langdykes if you're feeling brave.

Cove Bay Hotel is good and does good grub.

But why go there when we've got a perfectly decent, large Social Club at the ground rolleyes.gif tongue.gif laugh.gif

Think I might vist the social club for an orange juice of two biggrin.gif

Well, Cove's not exactly the depths of the 'hood (especially by Aberdeen standards!!), so it should be safe enough.

Either park at the primary school nearby or park in the streets surrounding the ground, but make sure you're legally parked wherever, and not obstructing driveways, etc. as it is a residential area and the residents can get a bit huffy..

Aberdeen's traffic wardens are known to target the football at Cove for easy pickings at times, too. dry.gif

Other directions are as per the link on the Whitehill site. Remember it will be a 3pm kick-off.

Glad you enjoyed everything but the result. Thought the ref was a bit pernickety, but not going to cry at a win...

It was a bit of a farce, to be honest, as were 99% of the games yesterday.

Was that you in the Welfare scarf sitting at the right hand side of the board room? wink.gif
Tams bird
I was sitting at the end, beside the one with scarf. laugh.gif

laugh.gif Think you got the best of it yesterday, to be honest. I was standing behind your keeper all game, and second half it was mental in the wind!!

Your keeper is a monster in the best sense of the word, he's huge - in 20 years of watching football, don't think I've ever seen a keeper stand only about 2 inches smaller than the crossbar before! laugh.gif

Was a good day out apart from the result. Thought the pitch was a bit on the small side and found it hard finding somewhere to park the car, but apart from that Cove have a good wee set up. Good luck in the next round.

Any pub that has the Top Gear theme tune on the jukebox is not somewhere you'd need to be brave to enter. laugh.gif

Good wee set up? You can't get a seat in the stand. Its all sponsors and corporate!!

I had a few mates lived in Cove but we always used the Covenanters in Kincorth or a pub that was in a caravan park.Used to use the Gordon Hotel too.
