In the light of Kris Boyd's abandonment of the national side and particularly George Burley, should the SFA have the balls to ban Boyd from any future international under any manager?

This is a dumb thread. Burley will go, Boyd will be back. If this was a clash at club level there would be no such fuss. Attach a situation like this to the national side and it brings out the worst in people (see comments about immigrants, passion and 'going to war' etc).

To finish without McFadden and Boyd on the pitch was down to Burley alone and was unforgivable.

We all know he lacks mobility.
If he gets a chance, he scores more often than not though and I think he would have scored on Saturday.

As for McFadden, he was asked to perform a role which does not suit his strengths and his game suffered as a result.
Doesn't take a genius to work that out.
It does however, take an idiot to persevere for 55 mins before subbing him instead of admitting his error and giving him support (i.e. Boyd) after 20mins!

Well actually yes he can, and he is, whether we like it or not. Kris Boyd will play again for Scotland within the next year.

Technically he can't, as Scotland could insist that he turns up and plays if they wanted, a la Makelele for France. He's actually relying on Scotland and Burley agreeing to his "decision".

How funny would it be if Scotland picked him, insisted he came along and made him carry the team bags, fetch the water, act as team fluffer?
