Annan v Dalbeattie was on Wednesday though, so will be in. The sub- Standard gave you a report of it, then on the next page told you it was tonight!

Ultra Sud: biggrin.gif you were handed your fee today at half 11.

Anyway, I only asked you who Roy Race played for...it hardly amounted to writing a match report intro!!!

Stu: I am merely providing info to fellow non-league football fans about what's in the paper and therefore nothing wrong with telling each of the forums.

Perhaps you should do the same with your publication tongue.gif

'Southview', many non-league fans down South buy the NLP as it is a superior paper and costs 50p less. wink.gif I gave up buying the NLT when they increased the price to £2. tongue.gif

Ah but does it cover the Scottish scene? If it doesnt not a lot a point in buying it here, even if you could get a copy. £2 is dear mind but i suppose given the journalistic talent they employ you get what you pay for?

On an unrelated topic re your mad post - you going to the film theatre to see the new release then? I regret getting rid of Peter Storm cagoules now - the imminent release of this has seen them go for a fortune on the bay. Excellent book it is and looks to be a decent cast, Stephen Graham is a fine actor and normally in decent stuff. Theres some excellent cast shots on the casulaco web site as well by the way.

Skyline Drifter: Did I ask you as well? Can't remember! Not enough fees to go round I am afraid.

Ultra Sud: You are too kind! You definitely get what you pay for!

KFTS: From what I gather, the £2 cover price wasn't universally backed but what it should do is safeguard its future for the time being to allow it to continue to develop. Anyway, at the risk of sounding bias, I think there is a lot of content in NLT and worth the money.

I haven't seen an NLP for a couple of years now, as it doesn't get sold in Scotland, but it doesn't cover Scottish non-league football. Therefore, NLT would be the paper of choice for a Scottish audience.

In addition, NLT devotes three pages a week to juniors/highland/east and south seniors which is a lot more than newspapers up here. It is fair to say that NLT wiped the floor with everyone else when it came to the coverage of the first round of the Scottish Cup recently and will do again for the second round in a couple of weeks.

There is also a willingness to increase said coverage if the opportunity arises.

Not difficult. The coverage of the first round of the Scottish Cup in the nationals and the broadcast media was a disgrace, just like it was last year.

I look forward to seeing their in-depth coverage of Spartans, sorry the second round, in next week's papers dry.gif
silver star
Hope this site is not getting too commercial re NLT as there are local papers, reporters, correspondents and websites out there doing a good job in raising SOS profile!!!!

Many who add comments on these boards ARE experts, in the field of Scottish lower league and non league football.
Utilise them or be a kid on b*****disation of the game in Scotland, just to promote that you really give a toss and sell copy.
Just an opinion.
