Spot on. Do they do these draws at random? Remember last years team of the year didn't have Craig Wilson who many of the fans of other teams fans felt should have been in the team.

Ah well...if anything they'll get the curse.

If a league table was made up for September, East Fife would have been top. What's so controversial. Two 3-0 wins (one against a team top of the league) and a draw away to a team near the top - pretty decent month.

East Fife and Brechin (and Peterhead) got two wins and a draw in September.

Well if there was a 'Manager of the Quarter' award going, I'm sure Michael O'Neill would have got it. Maybe you mis-read the title of the thread.

Also, one of Brechin's draws was away to East Fife!
The other was away to Ayr who were top of the league at the time.

Our 0-0 game against Brechin was in August.
Brechin's September results....
Brechin 3-1 Arbroath
Ayr 1-1 Brechin
Brechin 2-0 Raith
Ours....
1-1 Raith
3-0 Alloa
3-0 Ayr

I can assure you I haven't
O'Neil deserved it.
Brechin have been in a much more difficult position than East Fife O'Neill hasn't spent much but managed to keep players who have been attracting interest whilst signing good players and making some decent loan deals. Baikie has blasted money into players like Stanic and Crawford amongst the rest of their squad who are on high wages already. By all accounts Brechin were the better team throughout September playing excellent against title rivals and in a derby.

That and they've gone the 1st quarter unbeaten too which is impressive in itself.

Seeing as our records for the month were very similar, that's a very reasonable opinion. Surely you can see that the judges choice was not the travesty some are making it out to be though.

Not a travesty, I just think they've done really well to remain undefeated and stay top. That would have been my reasoning for selecting O'Neil.

No, it's quite obvious that you initally took Saturday's defeat to Stranraer into account (as I, and I'm sure a few others did) before realising that game wasn't in September. You then tried to save face by refusing to acknowledge that EF had the best record during the month and that O'Neil should get it because Brechin are top. Will Grey really has annoyed you hasn't he

Still, it's the only thing they will win this season, so that'll justify the crazy wage bill........................
It's a shame that the award didn't go to O'Neill because he has deserved it, but at least we don't have the curse!

That's probably true, but the SFL committee don't know how much each team's budget is so they can't take it into account. East Fife had the best record in September - Baikie deserved the gong.
