I can't imagine an official announcement will be made on the OS, or to the press. This story started as local gossip on the Mad site, has now spread to here, and will now probably be picked up by the press.

It's hard enough getting column inches as a non-Central-Belt team, so it's not the best PR for the club when we do feature for the wrong reasons.

Thats your last, over the past few years Killie have sent a fair few young players down to Dumfries on loan and you lot have broken every one of them. In fairness up untill now all injuries have been sustained through football related exertions, but now we have a promising young keeper maimed by a half blind ageing porn star in an unprovoked attack !!!
In future Kilmarnock will be sending their promising young stars somewhere a little more civilised and friendly, a youth exchange program with khandahar talalbion will be announced shortly.

all im sayin is that this was a low key incident no police were involved i just dont see why it had to be posted on here by one of our own fans for the press to pick up, knowing cammy i dont think he would want too much attention brought to this after all he has a career and reputation to protect, i know your going to tell me that hes a footballer and his actions will come to light more often than joe publics but i doubt he would want this enlightened by his own fans.

yeah but i kind of expected it to be started by a rival fan not a queens fan, but you are right everyone is entitled to post their thoughts and views, im sure we are all hoping he is ok and would like to stress that it was a stupid drunken incident that happens with us all on a saturday night while he was attending a club fund raising event (although it happened out with where the event was taken place) he isnt a known trouble maker and we should continue to give cammy our full backing as he has been fantastic for us.

This is what I have heard. The whole thing is rather unsavoury and unfortunately fairly typical of low-life mentality in Dumfries.

I don't really think that this is the place for connecting 2 unrelated attacks, that's what they are, they just happen to be in the same place. But they are unconnected. The guy that got attacked last night, wouldn't harm a fly (so I've been told) and for all we know might have been nowhere near the Spread on Saturday when Cammy was there

these incidents were 100% not related! and you speculating and saying you have a feeling they could be wont help things, you know nothing apart from "what you have heard" rumours are bount to start. but i can state that this is a case of people putting 2 and 2 together and coming out with 56 because its unrelated, the spread eagle just happens to be a pub where bother is never far away!

I have clearly stated that I THINK these two incidents are related. That is my opinion, whether you agree with it or not is not going to make me change it. Until a moderator comes along and tells me otherwise I will continue to discuss these incidents on this topic.

Whoever it was that started the topic also has the right to post about it. If they feel it is of some sort of interest then they have every right to post about it. If you feel that this post should not be here then tell a moderator, if not just don't bother to continue reading posts! Simple really.
