Really not that news worthy considering the majority of the article is just an excuse to bring up the events in Manchester again. A man has died, yet the evening times consider this a fitting time to bring up those events again. It's just not cricket.

Is there any Celtic fans that would be prepared to help me draft a letter of complaint to send to the evening times, I heard you had a lot of practice at such letters. dry.gif
No8.
A wee bit sick but what do you expect from people who glorify baby killers dry.gif

I have not one ounce of sympathy for a Murderer and a drug addict. And i'm not being politicaly correct just to please some Rangers fans, i would feel exactly the same weather he was a supporter of rangers or not. After the comments i read on youtube/forums about tommy burns i couldn't give two shits anymore.

I find it ironic you saying that when your fans write letters to ITV, complaining about an actor on a SOAP DRAMA saying he wouldn't support Glasgow Rangers, pathetic. AND then you have the cheek to laugh at Celtic supporters for complaing about a racist sectarian song.

No cheek involved, the journalist that wrote that piece is the one in the wrong. I couldn't care if you had a go at the guy for the reasons stated in some of the other posts. But for a newspaper to use his death as an opportunity to have a go at Rangers is morally wrong.

I would also say that you are acting like the moron you are by using the death of a Celtic legend as an excuse for your actions. How do you think the Burns family would react if they saw your comments?

Again just another sign of the bitterness, you and the majority of Celtic supporters are guilty of coming to the fore. Why dont you try showing some class like Tommy would have!

Having a go at Rangers? laugh.gif

You're off your chump. The guy was arrested during an orgy of violence orchestrated by your supporters. The journalist in question is merely stating the facts.

If Alex and his blades had avoided the trouble then he would never have come to prominence and the article wouldn't have been published.

An excuse for what ? His death has been mocked by Rangers fans.

Stop trying to use Tommy as a weapon against me to try and make me feel guilty. It's you who should feel guilty.
Nizzy
By the way, I'm aware of the old saying 'two wrongs don't make a right', but when did killing someone become morally acceptable?

Why should I feel guilty? Is it because I am an honorable person who does not feel the need to use the death of another person no matter what race, religion or persuasion they are in a game of one up manship. When Tommy Burns passed over I could have easily posted jokes about the liquidity of his skin, but I chose to show some class and not journey down that road.

This is not the issue in hand and is an issue for another debate on another forum. I am not a member of any such forum and i have no interest in debating this matter. I believe you have missed the point and are just using this as an excuse (as did the journalist in question) to again have a go at the Rangers support.

My point is that the majority of the article is about these facts and it is cheap journalism to dredge up these facts in an article about the death of someone. Perhaps the journalist could have mentioned the incidents in Manchester, but it was wrong of him to build his whole article around this. I also believe the fact that there was barely any mention of the fact that he murdered someone also shows the mischievous intentions of the person that penned the article. This story did not warrant the space it was given in the paper.

The Evening Times isn't the only paper to have ran the story. Are you, perchance, the chap on Follow Follow who suggested Catholics have taken over 'your' press?

To be fair i dont see the problem its not slating the Rangers fans in any way if anything its almost sticking up for him. The guy was savaged by a dog after saying he had done nothing wrong whats the problem?

Wisnae me! and I dont really agree with that point of view. I dont even know which team the person that wrote this article is aligned to but I believe it was just a cheap shot writing it in this manner and spinning the article back to the events in Manchester.
