I want to sign up with SportingBet to use the free £50 bet (after staking £10 on an even money bet or higher to qualify for it). There's just a couple of things I want to clarify before going ahead.

Firstly, there is no field to enter a promotion code in their registration form. On Boylesports and Betfred they allow you to enter this. Could someone who has used the free SportingBet bet tell me how they claimed it, and were there any problems in doing so?

Also, the smallprint reads:

QUOTE ("SportingBet smallprint")
1. All qualifying bets and free bets must be wagered at odds of evens or above and free bets must be turned over once before they can be withdrawn.

Excuse my ignorance, but what does it mean when a free bet is "turned over"?

As long as you've clicked into the site from a link offering the £50 bet it won't make a difference, if you've just gone into the site via google then you may not necessarily get the free bet if it is a referral offer.

As for turned over, it's a common phrase that means 'heavily or unexpectedly beaten' e.g. East Fife were turned over at the weekend by Stranraer.
Therefore, your free bet needs to be beaten before you can withdraw the money.

That last bit is rubbish, although I thought it was moderately funny. Turned over is the same as turnover, in other words you can't just receive the £50 bet and withdraw it straight away, you actually have to use it (i.e. turn the £50 over) before you withdraw any winnings.

It's not a free £50 bet if you stake only £10 as you have said. If you stake £10 you get a free £10 bet.

You only get the free £50 if you bet £50.

Sorry, forgot to mention that, but thought it was a given seeing as it mentions matching the stake several times.
