Silly season has arrived:
Dagenham v Barnet
England
Finland
Austria
Switzerland
Denmark
Israel
Greece
Slovakia
Belgium
Spain
Holland
Oldham v Hereford
Scunthorpe v Crewe

More sensible:
Accrington v Bradford (Accrington without a win in 7 IIRC)
Bournemouth v Rotherham
Grimsby v Wycombe
Partick v Airdrie
Ross County v Morton

I'm guessing that's put on with Ladbrokes, their odds return the closest to that on Oddschecker.
They are, however, the joint worst odds of all main bookies, go to most other places and you would have got about 27/1.
Also, the mathematical odds of that coming up are at best 96.8/1, every time you add a team you have another 12.5% of bookies markup to take into account.
Appreciate it's probably a throwaway line, but if you pick up £19.75 it should be a hollow victory considering what you could have picked up, and the mathematical odds you have beaten.

It's always the same with the internationals, you need to pick a shed-load of results to get a decent payout so I tend to either not touch them, or put silly money on a couple of 'bankers' to get a small return and hence more cash to put on when the domestic games come round again. Probably won't touch them this week though.

Yep. On supposed "dead certs" at club football (say Celtic v Hamilton), you'll normally see something like 1/6 being offered, but I've seen 1/100 been offered for international fixtures (say France v San Marino).
I also find that aways are really dangerous in international fixtures. Home advantage is far more pronounced.

aye i ll be there mate
anyhoo my teams for this weekend will be
Portugal away to sweden 6/5 - tend to stay away from international matches but portugal really need a win in their group after losing to denmark in the last minutes of their encounter. 6/5 is brilliant price and they have ronaldo back also.
scunthorpe to beat crewe 8/15 - scunthorpe will be on a high after destroying wycombe in midweek and should be to strong for crewe.
wycombe to beat grimsby 10/11 - although as mentioned just there with their encounter with scunthorpe, i think they should have enough to pick up a win against a team that havent even picked up a win yet in the league.
Shrewsbury to beat pot vale 8/15 - Shrewsbury have been impressive at home so far this season and have still to concede a league goal at home, not to mention scoring for fun averaging 3.5 goals in each of their home games. Should easily beat crewe.
Oldham to beat Hereford 4/7 - Hereford are very poor away from home and have still to pick up any points on their travels. Oldham are again very formidable at home and should easily beat hereford by quite a margin.
odds work out at 15.5 with william hill.
On the advice of the russian and will staying away from the bury-exeter game as he is usually right about what teams you shouldnt pick. Also saw a tempting price of 2/1 for paraguay to beat columbia away. With them being on fire just now in their group, it is quite tempting to have a go with them.

Switzerland 8/13
Serbia 8/15
Scunthorpe 1/2

Indeed it was Ladbrokes - tbh at a £1 I'm not too bothered about the outcome: the odds on internationals are terrible anyway. I hope my second line is better - seems on paper to have a decent chance anyway.

Had four up with two games still to finish. Knew Poland were 2-0 up and was checking on the Slovenia-Northern Ireland match every once in a while in between watching the darts.
I checked when 82 minutes and however many seconds had gone and it was 0-0. Couldn't believe it when I turned back and saw 86 minutes had been played and it was 2-0.
